"It's just kinda, eh." The right words just weren't coming to her. Claire felt lost doing this all on her own; but she had always been the independent type. "I'm not a good decision maker, though I'm sure you knew that already." Maybe he didn't though, as she had failed to get super close with the popular man in the past. It wasn't just his fault though, as a lot of the time she was just too stubborn to intervene with his significant others in public. That was their time, and she knew how special that was.

She nodded before taking his phone and passing her own to him once she'd opened it up. No need for her to have to say her password; it was embarrassing. "A-Anything else? No, I don't think so, you've done a lot already." She licked her lips, thirsty. "I'm just trying this whole 'talk to your friends' stuff, I suppose. Trying to be a better person." Her hand reached into her pocket, after she gave his phone back. Claire slid a little box over to him. "Wanted to give you a present in person, too." Inside would be a neatly wrapped ancient looking bracelet.

Oh, Dorian was well-aware she wasn't the best at decision-making, but not through any prolonged exposure. Dorian had a bit of a talent of knowing exactly what a person was about just from a few encounters with them. Dorian picked up her phone and inputted his number as 'Dorian Crawford', sliding it back to her.

And then she took out a box. Dorian picked it up with a little 'huh?' He opened it up to check the contents, and smiled, chuckling a bit. Well, this was a little better. "You could've started with this, you know. Thank you."

Were they done? Dorian put the box on the table and went over to Claire, giving her a tight hug. "Hey. Things are going to be fine, alright? Don't you worry your pretty little head about a thing." He ruffled her hair.

"I'll have you know doing things in order is boring. People expect gifts at the start." She smiled, having just come up with that logic as she spoke. It made sense though, at least to her. "I'm a strange person Dorian. You're welcome though."

When she was hugged though, there was a weird sensation of tingles that went through her. It was like her body was alive; she'd needed that hug. With a smile, she reached up and ruffled his hair after he did the same. "Thanks, really. Sorry for being a bitch." She spoke, standing more upright and looking at the door. "Suppose I should leave you then." She nodded to him, before heading out into the coldness once more.~
