Getting lost. OPEN!

Kalix glanced at her with a raised eyebrow. He thought, giving a mental shrug afterwards, Her father must be a touchy subject. He watched her walk with him, But by the looks of it, it's where she gets her tongue. Figuring the akward silence would scream this thoughts for him, he spoke up, "Well, I found some stairs..." He stepped closer to them and muttered a, "Right here." As he waited for her to come closer, he thought aloud, "Just how good is a blind's hearing? I mean, I heard it's close to echolocation, but not as precise."

Crowley tugged on her pointed ear as she walked, trying to rid herself of her father’s haunting memory. Her eye sockets screamed as she remembered the pain of her eyeballs being gouged out. She rubbed the scar on her left eye for a moment before looking up towards Kalix’s voice. She whipped out her long tail, which searched for the railing. Once it had grabbed a hold of it, it wrapped itself around the rail, and she walked herself down the steps. It was slow going, as she had her heel trace the outlines of the steps, waiting for her foot to hit the bottom of the next step before heading down again.

Finally she reached out and grabbed the railing with he hand, her thick fingernails tapping on the metal as she went along.

"Just how good is a blind's hearing? I mean, I heard it's close to echolocation, but not as precise."

Crowley raised an eyebrow, and turned towards Kalix with a chuckle. “I wouldn’t say that, but it’s definitely better than yours.” She laughed, continuing down the stairs until she reached the bottom.

When his foot freed itself from the staircase, he asked, "So where were you headed, Ava? Anywhere in particular, or just getting lost on purpose. Knowing the people here, I'm sure it's more likely the latter." He grinned a bit, knowing her comments on that would be humorous at least. "I was trying to find my dorm before the... incident, but now I don't think going to sleep would be a very good idea. I'm going to have nightmares for a week." He sighed, then added in a baby voice, "Would you be my teddy bear and keep my company?" His clasped his hands together and swayed back and forth, even though she couldn't see him. If anything, she could hear him doing... something and Kalix was sure her mind would take it for the worst.

Crowley grimaced as Kalix called her Ava. Did she not just say that she went by Crowley? She flicked her tail in annoyance and shot a vacant glance in his direction. Though, instead of complaining about it, she let it go. She felt tired from wandering about, and just wasn’t in the mood for idle banters about something stupid like… her name. Even though it did bother her that Kalix called her Ava. Perhaps she just shouldn’t tell people her full name. Crowley tapped her forehead in thought. She tended to become so introverted at times that it seemed she had her own little existence in her brain by herself. Strange? Maybe.

“Anywhere in particular, or just getting lost on purpose?”

Crowley tugged on a pointed ear, nodding slightly. “Well, I was curious as to where the lake was. They have a lake here, right? I decided I might as well figure out where everything is. Though no one in this stupid school seems to know what Braille is, so it’s not really working. I have no idea where I am right now.” She stopped, and rolled her head back. “Yeah, I’ve become the master at getting myself lost. Though, by some miracle, I always find my way back. Call it… an endless exploration.”

The swishing of Kalix’s clothing indicated he was swaying to and fro, and by the sound of his voice, Crowley whipped her tail in annoyance. Teddy bear? She grimaced, almost shuddering at the thought of being someone’s “teddy bear.” Though she raised an eyebrow, and grinned. “Sure, I’ll be the grizzly bear, and you can be the stupid hunter that forgot his gun back at camp.” She stuck her tongue out playfully and grinned. Oh, she was clever.

Kalix laughed at her bear comment, but couldn't come up with a comeback of his own. Instead, he looked off out the window to his right. "Well hey, I'm pretty sure I know where the lake is. Want me to take you there?"

Just then it hit Kalix. Why was he so inclined to help her? I mean, yeah I ran over a blind chick, but normally I'd be gone by now... It's probably her sense of humor and the fact that she holds quite the disdane for the other students here. Having met a couple, Kalix could agree. They all acted so young... Besides, I can scope this chick out and not get acused of anything. He grinned at his last thought and took his own advice. As he waited for her answer, he took in her outfit. In his opinion, she'd look better with the goth look in a little black skirt. She already fits the personality.

"Well hey, I'm pretty sure I know where the lake is. Want me to take you there?"

Crowley shrugged. “There isn’t exactly a wall I can follow there, so, why not?” She hesitated for a moment, and then reached out for Kalix’s hand. “You don’t mind if I hold your hand do you? It’s either that or I wrap my tail around your belt loop or something.” If he didn’t want to, she supposed she could just try and follow him the best she could, because she didn’t want to be giving the students here an indication that Kalix didn’t want. Though, it wasn’t really any of their business anyways, and she didn’t care what they throught, she did not want to make Kalix uncomfortable. Maybe she should just put a sign on her forehead pointing to her wrap. "Blind."

Being about someone blind always called for unsaid rules, and assistance that you really didn’t have to worry about with someone else. She didn’t want him to feel like he was babying her, all she needed was a hand there to lead her, more or less.

His grin left his face as suddenly as it had appeared. If anything, her plea made him feel a little ashamed of himself for the thought of taking advantage of a blind girl. He touched her hand with his fingers before wrapping them around her own. "N...No. Not at all." He started walking quietly down the hallway, his sense of humor temporarily tamed by humility; a rare event, indeed. However, he kenw this sudden change in attitude would only upset her, so he spoke up, if somewhat sheepishly. "So... what brought you to the school?" He watched her face in the anticipation of her response.

Crowley squeezed Kalix's hand as he held hers. "Thanks," she muttered, grateful he wasn't going to be all bashful about it. Though, she was a bit confused by his silence. She bit her lip, trying to figure about what his face looked like by this point. Maybe he was making some silly face at her and she couldn't see it. Maybe that's why he was so quiet. She then looked up at him, and stuck out her tongue, then laughed.

"So... what brought you to the school?"

A small smirk appeared on Crowley's face. "Well... My dad doesn't know about this place, as far as my aunts know. So, basically, to make a long story short. I"m... undercover." Crowley swished her head from side to side, giving 'cover' a bit of dramatic emphasis. Crowley shrugged, "youself?"

When she stuck her tongue out at him, he made a confused expression, but shrugged it off. Strange girl...

Kalix chuckled. "Oooo, undercover...!" He shook his head and glanced at her while talking, "Personally, I think a blindfolded girl with a tail would be a plentiful description to aide in your capture." With his free hand, he reach over to tap the band over her ear. "You don't look very undercover, to me." His eyes suddenly widened with an idea. If only she could see Kalix's famous impending-doom grin that spread from ear to ear. "...I have an idea." His laugh was quiet, yet very very sinister. "Why don't we find a new wardrobe for you? I'm sure your father remembers the boyish looks to you, as well as the blindfold." He started walking again, a little faster than before. "How about a skirt instead of pants, and deep, dark sunglasses instead of that blindfold? Hm?"

Crowley joined in with Kalix's laughter and shrugged. Her hand flew to her ear as he tapped it, and she backed up a couple steps.

"You don't look very undercover, to me."

Crowley stopped, a bit confused. She tapped her chin, while looking up at Kalix. "So, Mr. Undercover Specialist, how does one 'look' undercover? Wouldn't the purpose of being undercover be not looking like your undercover?" She put a hand on her hip with quite a sassy attitude.

Though, when Kalix proposed an idea, Crowley raised an eyebrow with interest. What was wrong with what she was wearing now? It worked great on the farm. She always had the necessary leg room to take care of the animals, to sit by the creek, and well, her aunts always applauded its practicality.

"How about a skirt instead of pants, and deep, dark sunglasses instead of that blindfold? Hm?"

Crowley's hand went up to her blindfold once again, and she bit her lip. "I don't mind changing my clothes but... my mother made my blindfold for me..." Her voice trailed off as she continued to chew on her upper lip.
