Naka nodded in understanding. He too rarely left his room and he too was actually kind of a recluse.
"I read, practice martial arts, and take classes for degree." He responded. It was true that's pretty much all he had done since he'd gotten here. He had a decent level of control and he had a new style to learn even and it had let him express his internal chaos and find an outlet for any anger he might have had. Part dance, Capoeira had been the form of expressionism most painters sought to give to others through their art. He of course didn't let any of this whimsy come to his features, he preferred to fit the Asian stereotype of excelling in school and practicing martial arts like the entire continent had legalized it.

"So perhaps we have more in common then the eyes first let on. I also be one of karate practicing daily on top of studying for my degress. Have you any suggestions on what we could do with our time?" Nilo reflected on his words and was shocked with himself. He spoke as if they were already established friends and were passed all introductory phases as he spoke the word "we".

Naka shook his head but he did opt for the universal ice breaker among guys. Fighting, was the best way to get to know someone, or at least that's how he thought. Additionally, his mind was clearer when training or sparring so it might, he decided, behoove him to do this.
"There is gym downstairs if you care for match" He suggested. he also found himself surprised to be offering to spar with a stranger.

Nilo wasn't surprised, he had a hunch that this is where the conversation would go. Besides, you don't really know a man till you are wearing his blood.
"That would be refreshing good sir; let us duel then" Nilo held the door open to allow Ishikawa passage. He hadn't sparred with a person in nine years so he was a little bit in doubt of his ability but the taint in his soul did not let this be a faulter to his performance nor confidence. For the years he spent alone, he sparred with a dummy he carved from wood. Not the best fighting partner in the world as it was predictable...just standing there, but it provided good imagery when illustrating moves.

Naka left his coat on the bed and walked out of the room. Since coming to starlight academy, for no other reason than his ability to somehow stand out in a crowd, he found himself with more than enough practical combat experience. The reason why he knew about sparring in the gym and that it was even permitted in most cases, was because of the fact that he had utilized it on so many occasions.

Nilo followed Naka to the gym where they took their respective places.
“I want you to know in case a doubting becomes available, it’s been awhile since I’ve laid my practices onto another person and for that I apologize if I lack at in ability at all.” Nilo tucked his tie in and put his hair in a pony tail while removing his square shaped designer glasses. “and one more thing Mr. Naka, lets not take too long on this endeavor for I believe I may have left our dorm door open.”

Naka look down to check his shirt to ensure he wasn't wearing his favorite one, and being that he wasn't, he opted to leave it on. By now a small group of students had gathered around, though at a distance.
"I have ressu to warry about than you." He said as he took his stance. He made a point of not having too many personal possessions and minus his weaponry, he didn't care if someone took it. Most of his notes were in his head, and his clothes could all be replaced.
It was evident that he was ready to begin.

Nilo bowed as he traditionally did before any match would ensue. “May the best man win!” Nilo at that point took his stance and began to focus. Keeping in mind that this was also for fun so he was to enjoy it for the sake of this new friendship. He honed his talent so that it would best be applicable to his fighting style. “Begin.” Nilo said with a solid straight face.

Despite his usual take on combat, Naka evaluated the situation and started off by getting within striking range, as he did this, he stepped, placing his right leg between Nilo's and then punching with his right hand as he used his right leg to try to sweep his leg out from under him. The next three moves played out in his head and he could assume all of the courses of action Nilo might take but given that they had never fought before, he had no idea if the guy would come up with something that had escaped him.

Nilo tilted his torso to the side and grabbed his opponents hand both by the wrist and up near the shoulder. Nilo twisted the arm a little bit and pushed in order to force his opponent that way. He through his foot up to avoid the sweep and took a step back. Though the fight was back at square one, Nilo was still examining the type of fighting Naka performed. Testing the waters so to speak.
