Getting Acclimated

Nakata Ishikawa was already rather annoyed at how the day was starting. It had only been six months since he got his new room assignment on account of the last roommate he had being a religious nut. He tended to look down on others and given unlike other kids on the island, actually had quite a bit of money and greatly looked down upon any powers he didn't consider to be "godly" . This of course meant that when Naka had answered the question about what his power was by cutting his hand open and showing it heal, the kid had gone on a tangent about his power being a sin and of course had tried to attack him. It ended up with staff interrupting the fight and assigning them to different rooms.

The reason why these thoughts went through his head at the present time, was that he was being assigned a new roommate today. He had no idea who it was, what language he spoke, and how well they were going to get along, but he sorely did not wish to have a room mate once more. The reason behind it was mainly because there were the types that talked too much, and they types that refused to talk even when you talked to them, with only a few examples in between that would respond appropriately and/or when necessary. Naka was one of those examples but he had yet to meet another like him and having to speak english too constantly was tiring, though he knew that if he did that he would get to be more fluent with it and so he took whatever came his way as an opportunity to learn.
"Tou, hadjime mashouka..." (so, let's get started...) He said to himself with a sigh as he leaned back on his bed.

After 9 years of living on his own accord, the staff finally convinced him that he needed to join the other students in the dorms instead of living in the boiler room. Needless to say, Nilo was both frustrated and scared. Frustrated on account that they played hard ball by turning off all heat to the basement and thus flushing Nilo out. Scared, due to having to actually meet someone....and live with them as well. He spent many days having troubles living with himself and now they request him to increase the burden? Again, Nilo went through the emotions.
Once packed up, he headed to the dorm. Standing there merely inches away from the door, he played several scenarios in his head as to how he should properly go about this. Once his descision was made, he opened the door calmly and made his advance into the dorm.
"umm....anyone in here?"

Not bothering to get up from his bed, Naka waved his hand in greeting.
"Yo, I taku you are the new room mate." He said in simple observation. Two key things had given away the fact that he was probably right. 1.) He had walked in without knocking, which although could have just been someone being rude, it certainly pointed in that direction given the particular day; and 2.) He had asked if someone was there, indicating the fact that he expected someone to be there, hence a room mate. Standard reasoning skills aside, Naka did eventually grow curious enough to sit up so he could see what his new co-inhabitant looked like. After all, it was usually a good idea to know who was sleeping in the same room with you. Other than those two gestures of acknowledgment though he remained primarily motionless and actively chose not to pursue the matter any further, this also being part of an exercise in determining what kind of person he was speaking to.

Nilo immediately noticed the wave and then the format of the wording that followed. He was curious how this roomate would be in sense of personality and style. Nilo hadn't much experience to go by when it came to people not from where he lived. Not saying Nilo had much experience at all, but definitely not with ones proficient in broken engrish. "Yes, I'm the new roomate. I'm Nilo, pleasure to meet you young sir." Nilo took off his slick black glove on his right hand and put his hand out in front of him as to offer a greeting handshake.

Naka considered for a moment, ignoring the hand shake and laying back, but in the nature of not being rude and the fact he was going to be living with this guy for the duration of his stay here at starlight academy, played into the fact that he was not going to to want to start off on the wrong foot. Those thoughts flew through his head in the matter of a second, at the end of which, he stood and accepted the hand shake.
"My namu is Nataka Ishikawa." He said, once again speaking in broken english and doing his best to make himself understandable. He did however, notice the removal of the glove which was a gesture of good will at the very least. As it turned out, having a new roommate might not be that bad in the end.

Being Nilo's first checkpoint towards an actual friendship, he couldn't help but to allow a friendly smile to rise to the occasion. In theory, Nilo's first smile since he came to the island. Once the handshake concluded, walked in to the portion of the room that remained unclaimed and hung his suit jacket up. He started unpacking what little he had for he wasn't much of a materialist. Nilo was wearing a white dress shirt with a black suade dress vest on top of it. Also in the torso clothing lay a black tie that was tucked behind the vest. His pants consisted of sharp/crisp black slacks that seemed to be the perfect length, perhaps custom tailored. His feet were covered by shiny black formal dress shoes that seemed brand new. In collective observation, you would think he was returning from a meeting or perhaps just in the position as an owner of a very high class company.
"Mr.Ishikawa, do you have any house rules you would like to implement before we enact this living situation?"
This question, though inquiring a legitamate answer, also served to see what type of person Nataka was.

Naka did notice the formal wear but was otherwise unimpressed by it though he doubted that was the reason for wearing it. That may just have been his style and he let it go at that.
"Only one rule. If you think something is bad to do, don't." He said, quoting a line from an American movie he once saw, though it did apply to the situation. He didn't have any typical rules and he didn't care what someone else did as long as it didn't involve some sort of problem in the room it didn't matter. Add to that, since he had no idea what the other guy's power was, he didn't know exactly what to suggest not doing. As he finished his statement, he picked up his backpack and tossed it onto his bed, so he would at least consider doing his homework without procrastinating.

Nilo noticed the eye gazing but figured that it wouldn't amount to anything conversation wise. Even if it did, he had no plan of talking about it. He's not one to talk about anything within his own atmosphere of comfort.

Once the backpack hit the bed, Nilo immediately came to attention and in a guarding stance utilizing his power to become ready sooner.. The impact from the bag scared him and caught him off guard. This all gave way that he was still a little unsure about trusting Mr.Ishikawa.
"Sorry, you startled me. Please take no offense to my actions"

Naka's only reaction to Nilo's response to his throwing the bag down on the bed, was to look back at him. He was awfully jumpy about that action, it told him that he had a troubled history, could have been a single situation or a situation over time, he had no way of knowing what it was, but this person had reasons to be concerned about loud noises and that wasn't typically something that just sprang up short of having a mental disorder such as schizophrenia. Doubting that the latter was the cause based primarily on his straight forward speech, he was at the limit of what he could surmise.
"No proberem. No worry here." He said reassuringly.

"Mr.Ishikawa, What is it you do in your free time? I've lived on this island for around nine years now but I never really ventured outside of my room ." Nilo was curious as what entertainment this new social life could provide. He spent far to long by himself fighting self loathing and esteem issues. He was ready for change, ready for personal growth in a new field. He plopped down onto the bed and enjoyed the suns beams on his face.
