Chloe saw Alma doing this, and she had to admire her hustle. Along with the platform, and everything. Alma wanted this in a way that Chloe never did, when she was doing her own council run.

There were a lot of things Chloe admired about her, actually. The platform, the way she could talk about demon issues, the way she had taken up this fight about auras in a way Chloe hadn't even thought about. She was probably the coolest high school kid at the school, in Chloe's eyes.

"Alma!" Chloe knew what she had to do. She skipped over to her and looked up at her. "I want a sticker! Which one do you think would look good on my cheek?"

"Eh. Things are looking up, I guess" That was all Chloe felt like saying about her own business. She didn't know Alma well enough to talk about a nearly-dying child, or a missing... whatever Jafar was to her. It would really put a damper on things.

She pulled out her phone to act as a mirror, and put a sticker on each of her cheeks, just like Alma suggested. "But let's focus on your thing. I want you to win this. I don't know if I've ever met someone running for this who cared as much as you about the sorts of things I care about."

Chloe gestured to her phone. "Want to take a picture together? For social media."

The DSU made an impact on her? It warmed Chloe's heart to hear that. "It's still weird to think we've accomplished so much. I wasn't the first person to think of doing something about demon social issues, but it's just..." she shrugged. "I guess having a student group helped a lot."

She shrugged. Smiled.

"I think you're figuring this out a lot faster than I was, though. Like there's that thing you said in your speech, about how we aren't our powers and we aren't our species. It used to be I was saying that demons are 'just like anyone else,' which... you know, isn't nuanced enough." She was more naive then - she didn't even know what some of her peers were actually going through. They'd felt like she was erasing them to make her narrative more convenient.

Hopefully most people didn't remember that part of the club's history.

Huh. Alma did have her whole life to figure this stuff out - so it made sense she would be so far along with figuring this stuff out. Whereas Chloe only learned demons were real a little over 3 years ago.

"Well, I'm glad you became active in this stuff, whatever the reason. I've already bought my tickets to the Alma for President hype train." She smiled, and pointed to the stickers on her cheeks. "And I never really thought about auras that much before... you know, just a few months ago. It's weird to think of how many times I might have been affected by an aura without even realizing it." It was a little scary, if she was honest.

Chloe nodded. The mood turned somber fast.

"I think auras like yours could be more common than either of us realize. Especially in the demon community. I've been asking myself a lot, lately, whether some stupid thing I did is because of an aura, or if someone I know has been taking advantage of me with some kind of aura." She paused for a moment. "Though, it's also possible for someone to have some kind of aura without even knowing it. So I don't know if I can blame them. You know?"
