And this private security work paid well enough. All Hah'en needed was proof of her abilities, and then she'd surely get hired more. At the moment she was low on funds, but Hah'en was confident that it wouldn't be so in the future. She was in a whole new environment, in a whole new occupation, but she was determined to make it all work. No, she would make it work. No matter what.
Hah'en stood in a corner shrouded in shadows, blocked from view by two bookshelves. She had blanketed herself in a thin veil of her own mist, thin enough to be barely visible, and she had did the same around the whole entrance area to the library and the surrounding areas. This way Hah'en could hide her scent, sounds, presence and partly visibility, and she could keep tabs on if anyone moved within the area. She was in a manor of a wealthy man, who had heard rumours that a thief was planning on raiding his residence for the artifact that Hah'en was now guarding. Hah'en didn't know about the credibility of these rumours, but it wasn't her job to suspect their credibility. It was her job to guard the artifact, whether her employer was just paranoid or not.
All Hah'en had to do now was wait tonight and next few nights from now on, and then her contract would be over and she'd be paid. And that was just fine with her.
