Everything was a blur. Every now and then he would wake up, seeing people look over at him, but then fall back into a deep unconciousness. Finally, he forced his eyes open, they felt heavy, but still, he opened them, and stared up at the ceiling, the now colorful ceiling.

He smiled for a moment, then his eyes grew confused for a moment, then they held a worry look. He tried to get up into a sitting position, but he didn't succeed, he just plomped back down, in pain from the movement. Instead of getting up, he turned his head to look for Lex. Though, when he moved his head, he had a splitting headache.

He cursed silently, reaching his hand to his head, and he closed his eyes. "What a nightmare." He mumbled silently, to himself.

Her mind was unstable. It couldn't handle much of anything, and the fear that Trephas was dead was too much for her to bear. She rolled off of the bed into a sitting position, legs touching the cold floor, and tried to get up, ignoring the pain that shot through her body.

Well, almost ignoring it, but the pain accosted her mind, and her vision blurred, causing her to pause. That pause was enough time for the nurses to come and try to push her back into bed. She resisted, even though it hurt. "No. Let go. I have to know..." she started to cry, struggling against the nurses. "Let go! Please! I have to know!" she was getting hysterical now, struggling against their hands. She tried to push them away with her telekinesis, but screamed instead, the scars all over her body igniting with pain.

They managed to push her back onto the bed, and administered a mild sedative to control her, and she curled herself up, sobs wracking her body. She was unable to move from that position, for the sedative worked quickly, and so she cried, whispering every now and then, "I have to know.." but unable to do anything about it.

Trephas was in a daze it seemed. He didn't want to move, but he heard Lex. He heard her voice, and he wanted to go to her, but the pain seared through his body with every movement he made. He felt around he gut, and felt a spot where bandages were at, and he remembered, he was stabbed, through him.

He groaned slightly, as he forced himself into a sitting position, and he looked around. His vision was a blur for a long moment, then it cleared, but he was still in pain. He looked for Lex. As he did, a nurse came, and made him lay down again, at first he resist, but he knew if he didn't then they put something in him to make him calm. So he rested in his pillows, but he still wanted to search for Lex.

When the nurse disappeared behind a door, Trephas looked around, though not sitting up again. "Lex?" He said, loudly, though, not loud enough for the nurses to hear.

Lex's mind was shutting off again as the Sedative wormed it's way in, so she barely heard him. So barely, that she wasn't sure if it was her immagination or not. Just before she drifted into unconciousness, she spoke, "Trephas?" her words were weak, practically unhearable with her tiredness.

TIME JUMP!!!

Three hours later, she came to again, and was pleased to find that her body wasn't as sore as it had been. She stirred, nothing but a dull ache coming from her body.

Her mind still felt unstable, but perhaps, just perhaps, it was a little stronger. She pulled herself up into a sitting position with much more ease. She vaguely remembered hearing Trephas' voice. She spoke out loud, not caring how strange she would seem if he wasn't here. "Trephas? Did you call me?" she asked, her voice loud so as it would carry, but not loud enough for the nurses to hear her. If he had called her, then she didn't want them interfering.

She had her eyes closed, unable to open them and look around, not willing to face reality if he wasn't there.

Trephas wanted to get up and go find Lex, but it hurt to much,he didn't ear Lex call, which made him sad, but after waiting a half hour, he closed his eyes, and let sleep drift over him.

After the three hours, his eyes opened, again the felt heavy, but a little bit more rested, but he was still very tired. He reached behind with his hand and felt the pillows, though the movement hurt, he got the pillows so he could lean on them better, so he was in a better position, better then laying.

When he heard Lex call, his eyes brightened happily. "Lex!" Hew called back. "Yes, I did call you!" He said his voice happy, but it hurt him slightly, again he felt the bandaged wound.

She pulled herself into a sitting position quietly, putting her feet on the floor and standing, stealing over to where he was. When she looked at his face, hers relaxed. She moved to his side, and put a hand on his cheek. Her eyes teared up slightly, and she rubbed her thumb on his cheek.

"I was so scared." she whispered, swallowing to keep herself under control. Her hand shook, and she pulled it back, sitting down on the bed beside his.

Her eyes never left his face, as her mind sorted though the night before. She'd been even more afraid for Trephas than she had been for Chloe.

Trephas watched her as she came near. His face brightened, but he winced slightly in pain, but he did his best to ignore it. He felt her hand on his cheek, and he closed his eyes for a moment, he felt calm now, more calm, then he was. He was happy that Lex seemed fine.

"I was scared too." He whispered, and he opened his eyes to look at her.

His eyes widened, looking at her arm, and seeing the scars.

"Are you alright? Where'd you get those scars?" He asked, worry clear in his eyes and voice.

Lex moved forward and sat on his bed beside him. "I don't know." she said honestly, carressing his face softly. "I learned something that night, Trephas." she said softly, the way she formed his name was a sweet caress, she said it differently than she'd ever done before.

"Trephas, when I met you, I didn't want to let anyone close..." she said softly, looking deeply into his eyes, "But you invaded my heart." she said sweetly, running a hand down his jawline. She placed her other hand on the side of his face. And then she leaned forward, and kissed him.

Trephas watched her with calm eyes, he listened to her talk, and thought over each word. When she put her hand on his cheek, he closed his eyes slightly, then watched her, his eyes lingering in hers.

She leaned forward, and he reached up with one hand, and put her side of her face, then slide it down unto her neck, then he kissed her back, tenderly. He always wanted to kiss her, he always wanted to be near her since they met.

"I love you, Lex." He whispered.
