The boy who only looked fifteen narrowed his eyes for a moment, then they went back, to a emotionless gaze. Hie lips were in a tight line across his face as he tried getting to the girl.

"I don't think you do know what happened to his family, even if you know they are from a different time, but you could say, I'm helping their family... All I want is to send them back, to where they belong." He said simply, walking closer, his eyes darted from side to side. All his men were running away or dead, but he didn't care, he never did.

Tear was standing the lawn, tears falling from her eyes. She was sad, and she knew something was wrong, something happened to her twin, and she knew it, but where she couldn't tell. Soon, a boy bumped into her, and she fell to the snow covered ground.

She looked up, and soon, she heard a voice, that said "Kane" And it was loud in her mind, and she put her hands to her ears, covering them, though she knew that wouldn't help. She stared at the boy and stood up, though she felt real shaky inside, her fear of her twin being in great pain scared her more then anything.

"I'm s-sorry I was in your way, you seem to be in a hurry." She said in a very shaky voice, and stepped back a couple steps. She had no idea what to do, what was there to do, except try to figure out where her brother was.

Lex desperately projected an image in her mind, and it reached Kane.

And, because he still hadn't pulled out, Tear as well. Kane's face was grim now, his mouth a thin line, a strange shift from his normally extremely calm self. The image was actually a series of images. One of Trephas lying on the ground, with an obvious stab wound, the other was of the boy advancing towards her with his emotionless eyes. "Something tells me we're looking for the same thing..." A grove of trees. At least he knew where she would be.

A huge pulse broke forth from her, grabbing tightly to his cloak, stopping him from moving forward. "STAY AWAY FROM ME AND HIM!"Her voice echoed solidly through the forest, but it was not filled with fear, nor sadness, nor pain, or even anger. It was pure fury, and had a deadly edge to it. "Why are you hunting them then? Instead of just telling them what you want?" her voice went deathly quiet, proof that her anger was getting deeper by the minute, as was her strength. But he didn't know that.

Tear continued to watch the boy, and then he spoke. Were they looking for the same thing? But why? Was he looking for someone also? It confused her, but she tried to focus on more important things.

"Uh... I'm looking for my brother... would you know where he is at? Please, tell me if you do..." She said a little frantically.

The boy stopped in his tracks, his cloak pulling him back, but he didn't budge, he reached up and tried to get the cloak off, but he seemed to him that he couldn't. He stared at the girl, unconcerned.

"The Bane's are stubborn people, they refuse help from most, though, mostly their parents... we had to take them the way we did for their safety." He said, in a calm emotionless voice. "Just let me go, and I will take good care of Trephas Bane, no harm will ever touch him."

She remained still. "I. don't. believe. you." She didn't remove her grip on his cloak, solidly keeping it still. Part of her wanted Trephas to be taken care of, but she couldn't lose him. She wouldn't.
"Besides. You killed Tear's best friend." her words were spoken in a detached way, but the deepness in her eyes belied her detachment. This boy was an extension of X in her mind. It was why she was so strong.

Kane puled his mind out of Tear, and reached for Lex's. He found it, and found it very, very angry. 'Don't kill him.' he warned her mentally, and turned his head unseeingly towards where he instinctively knew Tear was, "Are you Tear?" he asked her gently, his voice peaceful, and completely balanced, not belying the fear he felt for Lex.

"And how do you know that? Did Tear tell you? The bullet was not meant to kill her, but to only harm her enough to stop killing my men." He said, his voice still the same.

"Don't you want Trephas Bane to live? Instead dying." He asked.

Tear looked at the boy. How did he know her name? "Yes, I'm Tear... but... how do you know? If you know my name then do you know where my brother Trephas is?!" She asked again, she was so frightened for her brother, she needed to find him, she needed to be with him, and she could hardly stay still, something was terribly wrong.

Lex smirked at him. "Well, I've killed lots of your men. You gonna try and shoot me?" her words were challenging, but she knew the answer. At least, she was pretty sure she did, and if not, than he was more of an idiot than she thought. Any bullet he tried to fire towards her, she would simply catch. Then, the sudden realization that this boy didn't know where Tear was caught on, "And Trephas told me. Trephas tells me everything." she added in the same tone that she'd been using the whole time.

She reached for Kane's mind, and found it waiting for her. 'Don't let Tear come. He doesn't know where she is.' she sent mentally, warning him.

Kane frowned, noting the girl's desperation to find her twin. He decided to tell her the truth. "I do know where he is, yes, but there is a man there who must not know that you're here. My sister hasn't told me the details. I'm assuming, whoever he is is strong. And dangerous." His face returned to it's normal peaceful state then, and his voice had remained level, and peaceful throughout. He jerked a hand through his hand again. "what am I going to do..?" he muttered under his breath to himself, shaking his head.

He laughed. "I can't shoot you even if I wanted, your telekinesis is stronger then any I have encountered, you would stop the bullet before it even left my gun." He said laughing, though he had no gun with him, he didn't think there was a point, because he had many men with him who had guns.

"Trephas won't be able to tell you anything when he's dead." He said, truthfully, if Trephas died, he wouldn't be able to tell her anything. Slowly, he reached behind his back, and took hold of a dagger, that was in a scabbard that was on a belt. He took it out slowly, and reached up, and put it around the cloak, and then snap, he tore through the cloak with the dagger, then he gripped the dagger tightly and it seemed to melt in his hand, and it dripped to the ground until he dropped it, and it hardened right when it left his hand.

In the distant, horse hooves were heard, and soon, some came into view. There were about twenty, but ten continued to ride pass Lax, and their leader, and went pass, as if going to look for someone. And then, ten of the horses with their riders circled the leader, and around Lex, with guns and some even had bows. Each man and woman who were there, wore a necklace that had feathers on them, feathers that seemed to be from a large bird, but they were from an angel, since they hunted fallen angels, and mutants.

Tear covered her mouth with her hand, when he talked about the boy who killed her friend. Anger and fear went through her eyes. "No, I will not stay here while my brother needs me, I know who this man is, and I do not care if he is dangerous, I want to see my brother! Please, tell me where he is!" She said desperately again, and there was a tint of anger in her voice, and her hands clenched into fists, to keep herself from shouting.

The anger that had been dissapating returned, and with the sight of more 'troops' she caused a pulsing bubble to surround her and Trephas, well aware of the boy before her. Her shield pulsed with strength, never failing.

She watched him carefully, eyes returning to their stormy, angry darkness. "Why don't you tell me exactly what you're going to do to Trephas, or with Trephas, and then we'll see where we're at." she said quietly.

Kane sighed. "Fine. I'll take you with me. But, you must promise me that you'll stay close to me, and not do anything stupid or rash. Because the minute you do, your brother, my sister, you, and me are both screwed." he said quietly and sharply. His voice had shifted from a little under it's normal peaceful tone as he waited for an answer.

The fifteen year old boy, stood still, unmoving, his gaze always on Lex, thinking of what maybe to say, but for him it seemed easy, he just had to pick the right words, and then if she believed him, and let him and his men take Trephas, then their job would be almost finished, after getting Trephas, they would have to get Fury, and Tea, and the others who have escaped their clenches.

"If we take him, and if you let us... We will take him to a room where some Doctors will take care of him, and treat his wound, and when that is done, he will be put in a room, where his family is being well treated for, and all will be fine, and when we have all of the family, we will send them back into the time they were in before." He said in a calm but emotionless tone.

"If I were him, I would want to go, if it meant going to his true home, I think he would be happy to go." He said, hoping that Lex will let him take the wounded boy. The men and woman who were in a circle around Lex, and Trephas, they were still, and silent, letting their leader speak. He continued to stare at Lex, his eyes never blinking, not even once, it was as if that he thought if he closed his eyes once, they will disappear.

Tear smiled weakly when he said he'll take her with him, and she didn't care about the change of his voice, she was only happy to be able to see Trephas. He wanted her to stay close, just because if she did something stupid, but she didn't really care, but she figured that she should listen, since she has seen the boy before, after all, that fifteen year old boy killed her friend, and captured her family.

"Thank you." Tear mumbled, and shifted from foot to foot, anxious to get going, but there was fear in her eyes. "Lead the way then... or can't you?" She asked, since he seemed blind.

Lex's eyes narrowed. Something about what he was saying just didn't settle right. "What if I don't let you?" she challlenged, mind working frantically for an amendment. A way to get out of there, with Trephas.

She never removed her eyes from the boy in front of her, but muttered, "I'm getting claustrophobic." with her quiet words, her invisible bubble of telepathy pulsed, startling many of the horses, and making a great deal of them rear. She felt with her mind for their weapons, resolving to use them if she needed to.

She sent a mental image of more troops to Kane.

Kane smiled wryly. "I can lead fine. My eyesight doesn't affect my movement." with that, he moved forward, feet making no noise on the soft dirt. He removed the scarf from his neck, and wrapped it around his hands, preparing to use it as a weapon when he got there, a few barely audible clicks, and the small metal hinges attached to the scarf opened, and became tiny blades.

He got the mental image, and turned to where Tear was beside him, and put his index finger against his lips for her to remain completely silent. 'I'm telepathic, so you can talk to me in your mind. Just think it.'
