Veronica felt her teeth clenched at the enormous amount of people entering the equally large room. There was plenty of space to accommodate for the sheer amount of people coming and going and getting their various food items. It was absolutely nerve wracking to say the least. She had her flower wrapped around her wrist now, but she hardly noticed as the sheer number of people swarmed in and out of the room. Veronica flinched before finally making her way into the room. The young teen had gathered all of the food she was bold enough to ask for. A turkey sandwich with lettuce and mayo, and of course a bottle of water. She considered getting some chips, but honestly she wasn't hungry enough.

Looking around the busy room, she was just barely able to book herself an empty table. It was a bit on the strange side though, and she felt herself almost become crushed by the dread of coming face to face with any of the people surrounding her. Another lump formed in her throat and she gulped before taking a shaky sigh and attempted to eat her sandwich. Whenever she made eye contact with someone she didn't know, her violet eyes were always brought back to her feet. It seemed to always be that way.

The poor girl was trying desperately to think of a way to calm down happened to find the flower that was on her wrist. Even after a day, that flower showed no signs of dissipating in the slightest. It gleamed in the light that surrounded the room, and it was just enough to keep herself calm. It made her think about the friend that gave her this flower again. For a moment, Veronica had a hard time remembering his name. She only heard it once, after all. But then she remembered it was Aedan. Her first friend. To say that she was looking forward to see him again was an understatement.

Aedan walked into the lunch room, his sunglasses covering his glowing eyes. He held a very large lunch bag in one hand, his ionic energy made his body require three times the food the average human does.

His nose twitched as he through the crowd, he wasn't sure why he was here, he normally ate in his dorm. He nose twitched, and he smiled, Veronica was here. He quickly looked around the room and found her at an empty table. He grunted at this, she should not be alone, not her. As he approached the table he could have sworn that his heart skipped a beat.

He sat down with a smile, "hope you don't mind me joining you." He took a sip of his water, "it's good to see you again."

Veronica was absolutely relieved the moment her eyes fell upon a familiar face. Her features brightened up as he felt his own emotions brighten up. She felt both of their happiness, and if felt nice. At least, she hoped he was happy. Veronica honestly couldn't tell if one person felt happiness differently from another person, but whatever he was feeling right now made her feel good.

Veronica eagerly shook her head and nodded towards a seat. "Not at all please," It seemed much more pleading than she meant for it to be. "Please join me. It's good to see you, too." Honestly, Veronica didn't know how in the world they would meet again in this huge campus, but somehow fate managed to surprise her. Beyond all reason and logic, here Aedan was again, and she had a feeling they would be meeting each other often.

Veronica adjusted herself in her seat more comfortably and sat up before flashing him a smile. "So, what have you been up to? Anything interesting happen to you?" Veronica Then remembered the flower he'd given to her on the rooftop and tapped it on her wrist. "I still have it."

He smiled, a true happy smile, "it's good to see you to." He door a drink of his water and pulled his lunch out, big ham sandwich and a large salad. "Not much really...job can be a bit dull but I like it. And...looks like I'm going to play violin at a restaurant. You watching me gave me a confidences boost, thank you."

He took a bite of his sandwich, "what about you? Need me to show you around a bit...the schools rediculously big," he chuckled and took another bite. "I'm here if you need anything.

He smiled when she showed him the flowers, "still don't understand that damn thing...but it looks good on you." He smiled and blushed a bit.

Veronica smiled and nodded at his kind offer. "Yes, that would be very nice if you would. This place is so big and confusing. I almost got lost trying to find the cafeteria." Veronica allowed a blush of her own to show. "If you would be so kind."

Veronica played around with her sandwich a bit before taking another bite out of it. It was a rather simple sandwich, but she liked it. Veronica was never really too keen on the complicated.

Veronica showed her perplexed feeling on her face. He still didn't understand how it happened? Not only that, but it seemed like he wasn't able t do it again. This made her poke and prod at the flower before smiling. It seemed like this flower would be here for a long time.

His compliment made her blush, but she seemed to try to laugh it off. "I'm sorry, but you say the sweetest things." Veronica see to think of something before allowing a smirk to form on her face. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you like me." Veronica poked at him before letting out a laugh. She would let him know she was messing with him after hearing his response.

He blushed a bit at her teasing but then laughed along with. Did he like her? They'd only known each other for a short period but he was at ease around her, and she could make him laugh. "I only say them because there true."

He set his sandwich aside and took a bite from his salad, "hope you don't mind, my ionic energy makes my body require a lot more food than most." He took a sip of his water and chuckled, "it's a pain..you can imagine my grocery bill." He let out a second chuckle.

"It's a good thing I found my job, the school can't afford to support my diet." He took another bite of his salad. "The school is good place..you'll get used to it. Just like I did." He gave her a kind smile, "and if things ever get hard and I'm not there, just look at your flower, it'll remind you that your not alone."

Veronica giggled at his sweet words. "Aw, I'm just teasing," Veronica waved her hand at him in a playfully dismissive way. After her laughing fit, Veronica cleared her throat and composed herself. "Thank you, though, you're very sweet." Veronica didn't know what else to say about it really, so she decided to leave it at that.

Veronica shrugged. "In comparison to meeting a giant girl with large fangs who has a wolf last night, she's really nice by the way, and seeing people shoot ice or lightning out of their hands, I'd say the amount of food you eat is the last thing you should worry about. At least, around me." Veronica was surprised at how okay she was with this now. Or, at least, how okay she made herself seem to be since, really, the supernatural still freaked her out a bit. Even though she kind of made friends with one the previous night. "But, yeah, groceries are something to consider when you have that problem, I guess.

"Where do you work?" Veronica asked, full of curiosity. It made her think about whether or not she should get a job. Being a student full time was great and all, but she'd have to make an income at some point. And even though being late was better than never having one at all, earlier was still better than later. "Is it somewhere nearby?" Maybe Veronica could go visit him where he worked sometime. That would be another spot for them to meet, though maybe just to say hi. After all, she knew she would like to see familiar faces if she were working.

"Thanks," Veronica's smile softened as his sweet words didn't fail to make her blush once again. Was he this sweet to everyone? If he was, how was it possible that he made no friends? Veronica smirked again and laughed. "But you have to be lying. How can you be so sweet and not have girls at your doorstep, much less not have a ton of friends?" Veronica laughed. "But I kid." The girl took a bite out of her own sandwich. "I have a bit of a weird food problem myself. I can't really have any sugary foods. Ever."

Veronica remembered as a child she went nuts for sugar. She'd steal candy from other kids and was just all around a brat about her candy. She was different now, but all her mother seems to say when it comes to sugar and Veronica is "Never again." The teen had yet to understand why.

Aedan took a sip of his water, "I work as a bodyguard at a tv station in town. My boss was nice enough to give me a loan to get my motorcycle." He took a bite of his food.

He blushed a second when she said it was surprising that girls aren't interested in him, "I'm not..good at talking to people. Your one of the few I'm comfortable with." That and its hard to make friends let alone get a girlfriend, when you suffer from PTSD induced flashbacks.

"I don't eat a lot of sugar anyways. Gotta stay healthy for my job." He took a bite of his sandwich, "I love spicy foods though...my taste buds became weak when my enhanced sense of smell activated." He sipped his water, "so not many foods have flavor for me."

"A body guard?" Veronica asked in concern. That seemed like quite a dangerous job for a young kid. What was he even guarding, anyway? "Is that dangerous? What do you do?" Perhaps that wasn't the best job for her to go visit him. Honestly, Veronica was expecting some kind of, like, waiter, or cashiering job, but this was way different. She was certain she'd need some kind of, like, pass or certification to go see him. Poor Aedan... No friends to go visit him?

Well, maybe he had friends at work! And anyway, he was talking to her now, and they were friends. So there wasn't all that much that he could be sad about right now. And if there was, she would help him forget about them.

"Well, that makes two of us," Veronica admitted. "How about we help each other make friends? I mean, you could probably help me more than I you, but, you know we could... support? Each other? I guess?" Veronica looked down at her shuffling feet. "I mean, if you want. I think it's a good idea." Veronica hated acting like this. She wanted to conduct herself with confidence, but she just couldn't in front of people. Not even Aedan had been an exception until they really started talking, and he even managed to get her to chat more.

She treated Amara similarly, but she had never acted that way to another person before Aedan. And Amara hardly counted because they met the same day she met Aedan. Well, that seemed like a mean thing to say, but she was honestly glad she met Amara. Maybe Aedan knew her too?

There would be time for introductions later. Right now, it was just the two of them, and that was alright with her. "Well, in that case, you wouldn't really like the food I eat." Veronica was quite the sensitive eater. Not picky, sensitive. She loved sweets, but couldn't handle it, didn't like spicy because she couldn't handle it, and had to be cautious with how much she ate because her stomach couldn't handle it otherwise. He wouldn't taste anything from the things she ate. He needed extreme while she needed gentle foods.

The topic of food aside, Veronica recalled Aedan mentioning something about his violin. "You said you were going to play your violin? What restaurant? If it doesn't bother you, I'd like to see you play. It was really pretty, but I don't think you got to finish a song. So, can I?"

He smiled and chuckled, "don't worry, it's not as dangerous as you'd think it would be." He extensive combat training so he was technically over qualified for it, but he liked protecting people.

He nodded and removed his sunglasses, he was comfortable around her, "thst sounds really nice....we'll help each other. Find our place." He took a bite of his salad. "It's good to help each other....not enough people do that."

He chuckled, "prefer plain food huh? That's ok....It took me a while to realize what had happened to my taste buds. It was really odd eating foods that didn't taste like they used to."

He nodded, "it's called the Russos and your welcome to come one day.....hell we could probably get lunch there one day." He took a sip of water....realization of wahat he just said came over him. "I mean..if you want. They say it has really good food there."
