Cassiel wasn’t the adventurous type. Really, she wasn’t – she hated danger, she hated the ‘thrill’ that came with it, and she didn’t like the unexpected.
She hated getting lost even more.
She sighed and looked around; the cold, stone-gray walls sent a shiver up her spine. This was not what a school was supposed to look like! What the hell had happened up here, anyway? It seemed dead up here, like life wasn’t welcomed in these bleak hallways. Cassiel’s eyes were wide and a huge pout had taken up residence on her face, with both her upper and lower lips jutting out somewhat and her eyebrows furrowed somewhat. She tried to focus on looking ahead, but being up here alone forced her to keep looking around herself.
The clinking sound of her black high heels echoed off the walls. Cassiel shuddered again, lifting her arms to fold them over her chest. Her hands rubbed each opposite arm in an attempt to comfort herself – it didn’t work. The sleeves of her new, white blouse were effectively wrinkled, however.
Her hair, which she had curled into tight ringlets, was pulled back in a bun with only a few locks hanging freely on the left side of her head. Cassiel continued walking, knowing that she probably should have turned around by now, but she was frozen within moments anyway.
“What the hell?!†she screamed, stepping back, throwing her arms down to her sides immediately. “There weren’t supposed to be spiders here! This is bull… dammit!†Cassiel squealed and backed away from the arachnid steadily, keeping her eyes locked on it. The thing seemed to be staring at her and she gulped, lifting her hands to her face to cover her mouth before she whimpered.
She looked around quickly, then locked her gaze on the spider again. “Um, hey, if there’s anyone there, now would be a great time to show up before this thing eats me!†Cassiel had been pretty sure she was alone, but hey, if anyone had been stalking her she would be glad for it if they just killed that little beast from Hell.
