Cassiel wasn’t the adventurous type. Really, she wasn’t – she hated danger, she hated the ‘thrill’ that came with it, and she didn’t like the unexpected.

She hated getting lost even more.

She sighed and looked around; the cold, stone-gray walls sent a shiver up her spine. This was not what a school was supposed to look like! What the hell had happened up here, anyway? It seemed dead up here, like life wasn’t welcomed in these bleak hallways. Cassiel’s eyes were wide and a huge pout had taken up residence on her face, with both her upper and lower lips jutting out somewhat and her eyebrows furrowed somewhat. She tried to focus on looking ahead, but being up here alone forced her to keep looking around herself.

The clinking sound of her black high heels echoed off the walls. Cassiel shuddered again, lifting her arms to fold them over her chest. Her hands rubbed each opposite arm in an attempt to comfort herself – it didn’t work. The sleeves of her new, white blouse were effectively wrinkled, however.

Her hair, which she had curled into tight ringlets, was pulled back in a bun with only a few locks hanging freely on the left side of her head. Cassiel continued walking, knowing that she probably should have turned around by now, but she was frozen within moments anyway.

“What the hell?!” she screamed, stepping back, throwing her arms down to her sides immediately. “There weren’t supposed to be spiders here! This is bull… dammit!” Cassiel squealed and backed away from the arachnid steadily, keeping her eyes locked on it. The thing seemed to be staring at her and she gulped, lifting her hands to her face to cover her mouth before she whimpered.

She looked around quickly, then locked her gaze on the spider again. “Um, hey, if there’s anyone there, now would be a great time to show up before this thing eats me!” Cassiel had been pretty sure she was alone, but hey, if anyone had been stalking her she would be glad for it if they just killed that little beast from Hell.

Hands in pockets, fiddling around with everything that was in them. Nothing too important. Carta was half asleep too, coming back fromp computer class he wanted to go back to his dorm and sleep for the rest of the day. "I'm sure the teacher in Math class won't miss me... I'll just be sleeping." He muttered to himself and titled his head to the side in a nod of sleep.

Now he wanted to maybe just find a place to sleep up here. Didn't feel like going all the way downstairs, outside, into the boys' dorm, upstairs, unlock the door, walk inside, take off his shoes, walk over to the bed, lie down and try to sleep. Wait, why was he thinking all of this out anyways? It would just make him more tired and more lazy probably. Too lazy to even go to the room and do all of that.

Then he heard the scream of some female in the room he was passing by. Caught off guard, he jumped and fell to the side when he hit his head on the wall. Damn, that one hurt. He taught rubbing his head. He heard someone yelling from the door and automatically knew there was something wrong. He didn't make anything out, but he pushed the door open quickly and looked into the room. One of the dead zone... a girl was standing there almost trempling. "What's going on!?"

Walking up to her, something was going to eat her or something. What was she going on about? Carta pushed his glasses up more on his face and looked again past the girl, a spider was near by in front of her. He knew this was going to be something stupid... Ok, no he didn't but still. He held up his hand and out of his sleeve shot a needle that imapled the spider where it was. He sighed and went to leave the room. "More will come if you don't get out of here."

She heard a male voice approaching. Oh, good, it was a guy; hopefully a big, strong, heroic one who would save her from this monster. Cassiel couldn’t even turn her head to look at him, too paralyzed in fear because of the thing that probably had her next on its ‘to eat’ list. The seconds that ticked by seemed like hours and those hours seemed like eternity until the paper finally pierced through the spider. Realizing that it had been exterminated, Cassiel allowed her muscles to relax and slowly lowered her arms, wincing at the squashed spider and turning to her savior.

“Thanks,” she said breathlessly, her heart still racing and pumping adrenaline through her veins. Cassiel took the time to look over this boy, cocking her head to the side as she contemplated. He looked decent enough – he clearly cared about his appearance due to the shoes and the dress shirt. For once, she approved.

Although he did look a little nerdy. Maybe she could fix that.

“Hey, you could at least tell me your name! You can’t just save me from a hideous beast and then leave!” she said, following after him. If there were going to be more spiders she sure as hell didn’t want to be around them. “I’m Cass.”

Ben was wandering through the hallways, his stone cold, red eyed gaze scanning everything around him, he was so accustomed to being sneak attacked, the boy couldn't relax in a school as peaceful this. He sighed, the constant gang wars of Orichal city had ruined his nerves and very psyche. However, his natural attitude counteracted this, even though he was so accustomed to such harsh environments, his natural cool kept him from spazzing out.

A teacher told him to skip class and deliver a folder to another teacher in the school. Ben was the type who excelled academically without trying, no doubt due to his mother's genetics. She was a very smart woman, close to a legal genius, just like Ben. However, as unfortunate as it was, he was still new to the school and didn't know his way around it. He attempted to tell his teacher, but he was told to get going before he could inform her. He sighed, sometimes he needed to talk faster than he did. Ben rarely talked as it is, let alone in response to others. The boy felt no need to be a loud airhead, being silent was fine for the albino looking boy.

As he stopped and attempted to recall where the room was located, Ben heard a scream from a female. The classrooms of this wing were supposed to be empty, someone was skipping class. Ben turned quickly on his heel and began walking towards the scream, running was a waste of energy. Either the female, or very effeminate male, was skipping or had somehow got lost. If it was the latter, he would attempt to help them out, although he wasn't even sure where he was as well. If she/he was skipping, he would make sure to get them to return to their class.

He reached his destination, a supposedly empty room. Inside were two individuals, a male and female. From their short dialogue, he concluded the scream emanated from the rather attractive girl. Ben's gaze was as monotone as his voice, "Is something wrong? If not, you both should return to class" he informed the both of them. He had the slightest feeling that the male was going to give him problems. Ben was a descent judge of character, some people gave of an aura that angered Ben. These people were the type to disregard others and the rules that bound society together. Ben didn't know about the girl, she seemed a to be slightly ditsy, but he wasn't sure why she was here.

Carta nodded to her from her thanks. He didn't feel like sticking around here anymore and moved towards the door as he was walking away from the girl, though this might be a good place to cut class if he ever was not lazy enough to do so. He didn't really bother to go out of his way to do things. The girl followed him and said something about a hideous beast. She was really pathetic, almost to show her that spiders were harmless he wanted to find one and pick it up. Not like it mattered too much.

He almost tripped and fell, but staggered, in the darkness. He couldn't see the floor very well, and being seeing impaired didn't help too much. Regaining his composure on the situation he continued to walk out. This girl's name was Cass. Well, his name was asked, sort of. Might as well give it. "Carta." He said at first, he thought for a second before adding. "Yup, thats meh name." He said almost clueless.

Then someone else came into the room. He looked up, put his hands back in his pockets and his elbows stuck out a bit. He slouched while standing up. "Nope, not really. I don't have classes right now. I don't know about her though." He said lying completely. He was a good liar, though there were a lot of scheduals around here and it could be pulled off that someone didn't have class. Though he was telling the truth about the girl, he didn't know.

Carta continued to walk out of the room and around the boy trying to get out of this dirty and dark room. Too dark and stuff.

Carta? That sounded a bit… out there, not to mention feminine. Oh well, the poor kid couldn’t help what his name was, right? It just proved that his parents had to have been smoking something when they chose that name. Or something. However that saying worked.

“Pleasure to meet ya,” she said.

Then came another voice – another masculine voice. Her interest was solidified immediately and Cassiel turned her gaze to look at him. Just as quickly as she had become interested she became confused. His hair was white, his eyes were red, and he was pale… yikes. Someone needed some summer-time!

A thick pout traced her lips and Cassiel lifted her arms to cross them over her chest. Who did he think he was to order them around? Hell, who did he think he was to order her around?! She was Cassiel Ivirine, no one told her what to do! No one!

“Bah, class,” she said, waving her hand. “It has no point. Come on, you’re never gonna need to know half the stuff you learn in the real world. We all know it’s true.” She sighed softly. “Don’t be such a goodie-goodie. I mean, I was lost anyway… but don’t act like school is interesting. It isn’t.”

She stepped closer and slinked around the newcomer, not wanting to be in that scary, spider-infested room for much longer. “It’s yucky in there. I wouldn’t suggest goin’ in there, pal.”
