Fresh Air

From the kitchen, she would hear something metal being moved around. If she looked, she would see him putting a saucepan on. He was making this from scratch, wasn't he?

"Yeah." He told her, happily mixing the sugar and cocoa powder into the heating milk. "It tastes better than the powdered stuff." It was entirely likely that this was exactly like the thing with the waffles. He likely had the powdered stuff somewhere, but wanted to cook for her instead.

"Eh? O-oh!" A portal opened up next to her. He continued to stir the mixture, but had turned to her with it, curious what she needed the portal for. After a moment, it hit him. "Bandit, right?" He asked with his sudden realization.

Laetus shrugged and went back to cooking. "If I can live with a fire breathing roommate, a dog is no trouble at all."
At Laetus' mention of him, Zippo perked his head up and burped up a small flash of fire.

Zippo would get an annoyed look on his face, swiping at Bandits nose as if to say 'bad dog!'.
Laetus smiled, that light blush returning. "Its no problem at all, Cherry-chan. I'm happy you're here." He reached into a portal so he wouldn't have to move from her, getting two mugs and some marshmallows, then pouring the cocoa into them. The mugs were the kind that changed as they heated up. One had an orange dragon that slowly got bigger, and the other had a pixilated heart outline that filled in red as it warmed.
"Marshmallows?" He asked as he topped the dragon cup with some.
