"I'm not sure what I have, actually..."
The fridge was sparce. There was the milk and eggs he had out, as well as a loaf of bread, cheese, butter, a few cans of soda, half a bottle of rum... You know, the basics. He didn't have bacon in the freezer. He did have toaster waffles though. Making them fresh was better though. In the cabinets, she would find a few different snacks, a few cups and dishes, and a surprisingly vast amount of spices and made from scratch type ingredients. Eventually, she would find a bag of potatoes along with some white rice.

"We could fry some potatoes and make some rice?"

She glanced at him. "Do you never eat or something, either? This place is bare as a graveyard."

Laetus shrugged and began pouring the mix onto the iron.
"Well, I don't usually have anyone here really. I usually either eat something while I'm out or pick things up as I need them..." He closed the iron and flipped it. "Is that weird?"

"I think it's just a boy thing," she laughed, getting the potatoes and rice out to cook each.

She was confident in her ability to craft the potatoes, and she knew rice was easy to make, but she wasn't sure how to flavor the rice, if at all.

"What should we put with the rice?"

Laetus flipped the waffle maker and popped the waffle out, putting it on a plate before starting the next.
"I think I have a cooker around here somewhere..." He looked around. "If not, there should be a pan in the dish washer."
If she just went for the dishwasher, it would be mostly empty, save for the pan, one other pan, some silverware and a spatula.

Maddie took out the pan and set it up to begin cooking the potatoes. She took the spatula and searched through each of his drawers until she found a knife to cut the potatoes into thin slices.

"Hey, Kiwi," she asked hesitantly, focusing on her work with an intensity it didn't require. "What are we?"

"Huh?" He asked as he poured another waffle. The stack was getting up there already. How many did he plan to make?
"Well, I'm a fairy.... You're human, right? ....Or are shapeshifters their own species?" He questioned, thinking about it.

"No, I meant us. We kissed. Are we dating?"

Maddie glanced at him and as she did she cut her finger with the knife. She yelped in surprise, dropping the blade and bringing her finger to her lips to suck the blood.

"Sh--"

"Well I--" His thought was cut short when she yelped. He rushed over to her, grabbing some paper towels as he did.
"Cherry-chan?! What happened?!" He asked, seeming to panic for a moment before composing himself and trying to get her to give him her hand. "Let me help."

Maddie took her finger from her mouth and held it out to him. The cut wasn't bad, it looked worse from the blood, but it would heal soon.

"It's fine. I'm fine. It's just a little cut."
