Laetus scratched the back of his head, giving a light chuckle. "Well, I'm not sure exactly." He told her, looking around again.
"We've spent a lot of time in the city lately. I thought it might be nice to show you some of the other places I love here."

"What do you do in the forest?" Maddie skipped around, moving to the rock she'd seen him on when she first entered.

She seemed to be debating whether she was going to climb it or not.

"Well..." He followed her up to the rock. "I just find it all very peaceful and relaxing." He paused, thinking about it for a moment. "Oh! Maybe we could have a picnic out here."

"I like that idea. A breakfast picnic?"

She jumped up onto the rock, carefully pulling herself onto it's flat surface so she had a high view of the forest.

Laetus nodded and jumped/floated up after her, taking a seat beside her.
"That sounds really good. Should I pick stuff up? Oh, or maybe we could go cook together and then come back here."

"Cook! Cooooook! I'm the — well, actually I'm not that great at cooking. But I think it's fun!"

Laetus smiled at her and nodded. "It does sound fun." He poked her cheek. "And I'm sure whatever you make will be delicious."

"Only when I bake," she giggled, playfully batting his hand away.

"Portal us to your kitchen! Assuming you actually have something we can make."

"Alright!" He said before pointing his palm out in front of them. A portal opened up and he hopped in. On the other side, they would come out in a decently sized kitchen you would expect to see in your average apartment. In front of them she would see his electric stovetop, which was embedded in the countertop. Underneath was an oven, to the left was the sink with an unwashed bowl and spoon sitting in it, but otherwise empty. To the right was the refrigerator. If she turned around, she would see his living room. Not sure what she expected, but it was quite clean, save for a spot by the couch that seemed scorched. The reason should be obvious, as Zippo was curled up on that end of the couch, seeming to be watching tv. Saturday morning cartoons were running on the screen. Between the couch and tv was a coffee table with a remote and an old looking purple Gameboy color with a red cartridge in it.
"Welcome to my..." He was quickly distracted by the tv, as if he didn't expect it to be on.
"Ooooh.... Why do these things never come on when I watch the magic screen?" He asked noone in particular before returning his attention to her and the kitchen.

Maddie was surprised to see his home looking so clean...so normal.

"It's not a magic box silly," she laughed. "There's nothing magical about the tv. I'm surprised to see you have one."

Then she held onto his arm. "Can I see your room? Is it clean too?"

Maddie had the overwhelming urge to search this entire place and commit everything here to memory. To view someone's home was pretty intimate, she thought. Somewhere they may have spent most of their time. How they took care of their possessions. The type of person they were.
