Gabe dragged William into the cafeteria with him, it seemed the other man was nervous to go in because of the amount of people. At least he had got his foil hat though so now he wouldn't hear all the thoughts that were buzzing around the cafeteria. Gabriel, for one, was glad of this as recently he'd caught himself thinking of embarrassing things, in Bill's presence, far too often.

"Here, I'll go queue up and get us some food and you go grab us a table," Gabe glanced around, "it might take a few minutes to find a free seat, it's pretty busy right now." The place was packed and very loud. Gabe didn't mind that though, he enjoyed being around lots of people. He strained to see if he could find any of his friends amongst the crowd but there were too many people for him to see everyone. No doubt he'd bump into someone later.

"What do you want to eat and drink?" Gabriel asked turning his attention away from the crowd of people and towards Bill.

<div align=center>William considered the question for a moment, he didn't really know what he wanted, he didn't know what was available. After a little while, he nodded a little, "cake." He stated, "cake and juice." Those things weren't necessarily good for him, nor would they provide him with any kind of nutrition. He would have favored orange juice, but he'd settle for whatever was available. "If they don't have cake it's okay, I don't want anything." He smiled, before blinking, and tilting his head to one side, "or... If there is any apple pie..." He added, trailing off at the end of his sentence. He would have liked apple pie, he realized that Gabe didn't know about his 'disposition,' yet, it wasn't bad it was just that... He only ever really wanted to eat things with far too much sugar in them. The trouble with that was that he generally ate too much of them, which tended to make him a little... Excitable.

"I'll go find somewhere to sit!" He chirped, whirling on his heel and shuffling away from Gabriel, the boy lifted a hand to readjust the hat on top of his head. It didn't take him all that long to find somewhere to sit down, it was next to a window that looked out across an area William didn't quite recognize.</div>

"Got a sweet tooth, dude?" Gabriel laughed and nodded, "cake and juice or apple pie, got it." He did a stupid little routine of winking his eye and giving a snappy thumbs up. He thought he was cool.

"Yes, you go do that," Gabe nodded, "I won't be long." He promised and went to queue up. It didn't take him long to reach the kind lady who took his order and soon he was returning to find William with cake and orange juice as well as a sandwich and coffee for himself. Only problem was he couldn't spot William.

After a while of searching he laid eyes upon Bill and went over to meet him.

<div align=center>William was staring absently out the window when Gabriel arrived back, propped up on one elbow, he looked like he was half asleep. Then again, William was always half asleep, more or less. He took a moment to snap out of it, blinked, and shook his head. "Oh," he glanced to Gabe, and then to whatever he was carrying, "thanks, I guess." He smiled a little, took the carton of orange juice and drove the straw through the top of it. He took a sip, it was cold and it hurt his teeth. "What kind of cake is it?" He asked lazily, directing his attention out the window again.

He took another sip of orange juice, William hated the cafeteria, there were too many people there and it made him feel uneasy, he didn't like it one bit. He crossed his legs, and shuffled a little closer to the wall so he could lean against it, he wondered how long they were going to be in there for, since he hated the atmosphere, it was too noisy for him, everyone was panicking and rushing around, it made him feel angsty, and on edge. Then again, William was on edge most of the time, the only time he was completely relaxed was when he was in the bath, or asleep.</div>

"What you watching out there?" Gabe asked Bill as he sat down. "It's chocolate marble cake," he told him , "hope you like that." Then again who didn't.

Gabe noticed something was up with William but William always seemed on edge anyways unless there was no one around so he supposed he shouldn't worry about it.
"Least you made another lil foil hat," Gabe said, attempting to strike up conversation with Bill, "now you don't have to listen to everyone's thoughts as well as what they're saying aloud." He looked at William curiously, "do you ever hear anything obscure or interesting in people's thoughts or are they all boring?"

<div align=center>William pulled a piece of the cake off, and put it in his mouth. The taste made him purr, it was good. He thanked Gabe again and smiled. He nodded, "I do like marble cake." He chirped, leaning forward a little to look at Gabriel. He was glad for the little hat, he'd probably have vomited by now if he didn't have it. He thought about Gabe's question for a little while, "I get more weird things from your head than anyone elses." He laughed awkwardly. He struggled to remember a lot of the things that people thought about, more often than not they were things that he thought he should have found out about.

"Some people think some nasty things about other people." He mumbled, frowning a little, and putting another piece of cake in his mouth, "it's mean." He added, his words muffled by the cake. He washed it down with a sip of juice. The boy placed a hand on the table and spread his fingers out across it. He'd been biting his nails recently, and he frowned at the way they were chipped. "I've learnt some sad things through it though... Things I didn't really wanna know about."</div>

Gabe smiled, he was glad William was enjoying the cake, in fact he was just glad to see William eating something. He had worried that Bill never ate because of how he seemed to never be hungry and was extremely skinny.
"Me too, it tastes so good," Gabe agreed. "Yum yum."

"Really?" Gabe pondered that a while, it was weird for him to think of himself as strange, seen as his way of thinking was normal to him. "How so?" He asked. He wanted to know how he was strange. "I don't think that'd be pleasant...hearing mean thoughts and sad ones." Gabe sighed, he didn't like to think of down beat things.

<div align=center>Bill nodded a little, and swallowed the last of his cake. He purred softly and smiled, pushing his plate away. "I don't want to talk about this anymore." He mumbled, sighing lightly, and staring at his hands. He wasn't going to talk about what other people thought about, it was a violation of their privacy. He frowned. He'd learned some horrible things over the years, it'd given him a good cause to stay away from his parents, anyhow. He'd finished his juice, and the hand that he had on the table had curled into a loose fist. "I don't like it." He added, quietly.

He wished he could do what Gabe did, that was cool. William had been terrified of his power a little earlier on, but it was exciting electricity was beautiful and he felt a little envious of Gabe being able to use it. He looked up at Gabe, forcing a small smile at him. "I'm sorry, sweetie," he laughed softly, "I don't really wanna talk about other peoples thoughts." He placed a hand on Gabe's wrist and tilted his head to one side, giggling quietly. "it's like a doctor telling everyone about a patient's problems and stuff." He pointed out.</div>

"Sorry we can talk about something else," Gabe apologised. He had finished his sandwich by then but his stomach was still rumbling, he supposed the coffee would fill him up, by the time he finished it anyhow. "You don't like talking about other people's thoughts or you don't like hearing them?" Gabe raised an eyebrow.

"Sweetie," Gabe repeated, though he hadn't meant to say it out loud. He wasn't used to terms of endearment and it made him blush . Gabe nodded, "I suppose that's true." He frowned, "but it's a doctor's job to deal with those people's illnesses ,it's not your job to deal with their thoughts."

<div align=center>William sighed, he shook his head and didn't answer. He'd woven his fingers through Gabriel's again, he liked the way his hands felt, it comforted him. "You're still talking about it." He mumbled softly, squeezing Gabe's hand just a little too hard. He realized it might have hurt him a moment later, and let go. Bill mumbled an apology, and flicked his fringe out of his face. He wanted to scramble across the table and curl up on Gabriel's lap, but he didn't think that was correct etiquette. He pouted a little, "you're still hungry," he laughed, "you're so cute." He mumbled lazily, yawning, and propping himself up on one elbow again.

Though the thought of ever being in a relationship with someone was really strange to William, he wasn't really sure how things went. The thought of some of the things that came with a relationship made him both feel incredibly frightened and incredibly embarrassed. He shook his head, and drove the thoughts from it, he felt as though he was too young to be thinking about that, regardless of the fact he wasn't. He felt a flush creep across his cheeks, and he dropped his gaze again. "Uhm..."</div>
