Zyta was always looking for new challenges, when it came to technology and machines and fixing them. Zyta might've been a natural with machines, but she liked pushing her limits and testing her skills. Whether that meant building something entirely new from scratch or reassembling a completely new piece of machinery.
But never would've Zyta thought she'd be fixing a spider android in the woods under a makeshift shelter.

It had been a huge hassle to get this android here in the first place. Zyta had accidentally wandered to the outskirts of the Forbidden forest, and before rushing out she had seen this strange...spiderperson on the ground. The monsters hadn't touched it, and when Zyta had gone closer the person didn't move. And upon touch Zyta learned it was an android and that it was damaged.
That if anything had brought her thirst for challenge to the surface.
Like an idiot Zyta hadn't informed this to the proper authorities, but instead had ran to the city to buy a charm. A charm to make something lighter, to be exact, because Zyta had not been able to move the heavy android. But when she returned and applied the charm Zyta had been able to drag the android away, as far away from the Forbidden forest as she had had the energy to.

Next was getting her tools over to the spider android, because Zyta couldn't possible drag something like this to her apartment. So Zyta had ran to the city again, and brought with her her tools and some tarp to make a temporary shelter out of. And like that she had finally gotten to fixing the android, ignoring the cold. Zyta had to leave the android for one night, when the sunlight began fading, but early the next morning Zyta returned and continued fixing the android. And after two days of working Zyta finally connected the last wire and finished her work.
"That should do it."
Zyta muttered, and waited for the android to turn on, feeling rather excited.

Farea's solitary work had been fulfilling, having successfully studied multiple creatures, opening them up with surgical precision and putting them together to the point where the creatures didn't even have a single sign of her cuts, and continue to live as normal. In addition to this, she had, with varying degrees of success, pacified more dangerous creatures with the least amount of effort. A common weakness to this regard were their spinal columns. If she would rather they die, the brain was the optimal target, if she could manage to get close enough without risking damage to herself. So far, her network of webs that served as her home and defense against the dangerous lifeforms of the wooded area were clear of hostilities. It had become a safe haven. But outside of her home base, she had to be careful as she didn't have a network of webs to freely run about. One day she was taken by surprise. A creature that she initially thought was harmless took on a different form to elude her sense of danger, and she suffered for her carelessness. A short fight ensued with her losing, taken out of the fight when critical connections were severed, rendering her unable to move and eventually ran out of power. Then everything began functioning again. It was only a brief moment for the android, the passage of time was not accounted for in a complete de-powered state. However, there was an emergency power cell inside the android that only activated once all the proper wires had reconnected. After a short moment of inactivity as the system began to reboot, Farea rose up, all six legs immediately moving forwards as the critical energy levels called for an immediate search for sunlight, the humanoid upper body still limp. But Farea's body stopped once it picked up a few rays of sunlight, and she slowly lowered herself flat on the ground. Before long, all of Farea's lights glowed, and her humanoid body straightened up, albeit staring blankly into space as everything was just beginning to activate.

Zyta hadn't realized, how quickly the android would start moving again, and as it suddenly began moving forward Zyta sprawled out of the way, gazing upon the rather big spider body in mild panic. But the humanoid upper body was still limp, which looked a bit unsettling. Had Zyta accidentally only repaired the lower body's functions? No, Zyta was certain she had fixed all the systems properly.
But the body didn't move for long, as it stopped the moment it stepped outside the makeshift shelter, and then just...stood there. Zyta frowned slightly and stood up, circling around the android and in front of it. The humanoid body was still limp, but the systems were clearly running and operational. Zyta observed, but hesitated to touch the android in case it had a defense system. Zyta did not want to be on the receiving end of a blow from one of those sharp legs.

Eventually, after Zyta had nearly gathered the courage to touch the android, the humanoid upper body straightened and yet again just remained still. Zyta could see from the android's eyes that all the systems probably weren't running yet, and the rebooting was still ongoing. Nevertheless Zyta stood in front of the android, in clear sight, and as soon as it would show signs of being present Zyta would raise her hands, as a sign of peace. Or at least that's what she thought it meant, she had seen it done in movies.
"I am Zyta Górski. You are on Manta Carlos, Earth. I found you and fixed your damaged circuits and gave your body a general maintenance. How are you feeling, and who are you?"
Those were probably the pieces of information and questions that needed to be addressed right at this moment.

Once everything had booted up, Farea's eyes, both humanoid and spider, adjusted their apertures, which caused the faint glow on them to focus in on one point and then spread out again. This looped three times before the android's body raised up and slowly settled as if it had just taken a deep breath and exhaled. On the spider's back, four panels opened in a similar manner to apertures and out popped four glass-like cylinders. All were nearly empty of the red fluid that used to be stored inside. After scanning the surroundings, Farea heard something speaking. Another of the bipeds she had met before. But this time, it seemed as if they were making some sort of sense. She could understand her. This was, to her, an interesting development. Before now, she thought them to be mere simple-minded animals that had no method of communication. If she understood this biped correctly, she was fixed and given maintenance. A capability the android failed to discern from previous subjects. "Zyta Górski. You are an anomaly among previous encounters with your species," she observed out loud, her voice mimicking the organism's own voice. "Systems report damage on multiple areas. 528 parity failures reported from internal diagnostics. Desynchronized from network, no packets received for null ticks. Configurations problematic. Overflow detected, aborting system diagnostics." There was a short sequence of beeps and the android spoke again. "Unit designated as Farea Psyper. Warning, 54 designators unset. Unit may not be correctly identified." There was another sequence of beeps that signified the end of the identification subroutine. Farea remained stationary, passively observing the biped in front of her.

The android was an impressive piece of machinery, and Zyta couldn't help but be in awe as she watched it activate. And when it spoke she jumped a bit, surprised to hear a voice like her own coming from the android.
Wait. An anomaly? But before Zyta could ask about that the android began speaking its system diagnostics outloud, and it sounded like there were still multiple points to be fixed. Zyta knew that already, however, since she had only fixed what was necessary for the android to function. The rest had been details that vould be done without or something Zyta did not know how to fix. But Zyta was intrigued by something the android, who named itself Farea Psyper, had said.
"Farea Psyper, why are you here? Were you sent by someone?"

"This unit has no data on its directive or directive initializers," Farea began, "However, self-preservation protocols required this unit to observe the local ecology. High threat levels warranted defensive action. All attempts of making contact were unsuccessful until this encounter. "Initial observations of similar species to organism Zyta labeled the species as pre-sapient. Minimal danger. Other observations have been corrupted"

No data of directive? Had someone wanted to make sure this android's purpose would never be found out? Or had the data been erased when the android had been damaged?
Zyta frowned a bit as she pondered this, and she barely registered it as Farea explained her protocols and what she had done thus far. Asking Farea all these questions would probably do no good, she wouldn't be able to answer. Zyta needed to bring Farea to an expert that could fix her up and possibly let the android regain any information that had been lost.

Only pre-sapient? That irritated Zyta slightly, but no use arguing about it. Compared to androids like Farea humans were on the level of an ape. Well, Zyta wasn't exactly human, but the point remained.
"Farea, how much free will do you have? Have you been programmed with any personality or conscience?"
That would determine how Zyta would deal with this from now on. If Farea was a simple machine she would bring the android to her boss and have him help Zyta fix Farea. Zyta felt a strange feeling of responsibility now, she wanted to see Farea to the end. But if Farea was fully conscious and had a personality and will Zyta would show her to the authorities. It would be illegal to keep Farea against her will.

Farea stared at Zyta for a good few moments as if unsure how to answer her question. There needed to be some parsing of the language she used. "I am not bound to follow commands," she began. "And there have been no incoming orders since my activation. As for personality, I am who I am. Whether that has been programmed or not, I won't know without studying identical units." Farea's legs clicked and clacked against the ground as her body rotated to the left and right, surveying the land. "Unsecured." She turned her back towards the deeper woods and with her spinneret raised, she sprayed red liquid like a pressurized garden hose, making a thin web wall between two trees. Given the low reserves she had remaining, the wall wasn't thick, more like a few ribbons of police tape just enough to let people know it was a restricted area. She would move and aim to nearby trees to block off the majority of the entrances to the clearing, leaving the farthest entry from the deeper forest free. "I require a refill."

Zyta had to admit her question had been slightly confusing. But that just acted as proof that currently Farea was more machine-like that human-like. She was acting on purely survival protocol, waiting for orders. But that just made it easier for Zyta, perhaps she could talk the android into following her so she could bring Farea to the space station and fix her with her boss.
"There is no need for comparing. I know what I need to for now."
Zyta answered, on her face a thoughtful expression. What kind of words should she use to make Farea come with her?

Suddenly Farea looked around, and Zyta took a small step back so she wouldn't even accidentally get hit by the android's spider legs. And then she began shooting the red liquid she had stored in those canisters around, or "securing" the area as Zyta assumed it. Zyta watched with concern but fascination, as Farea shot a thin layer of web between trees, and she couldn't help but let out a small relieved sigh when she left one opening to the area. Zyta didn't want to get stuck.
"A refill?"
Zyta said, turning back to look at Farea, and she looked at her canisters and saw she was indeed running low.
An idea!
"I cannot provide you with a refill here. I don't know if your protocol requires you to stay in this location or not, but I'm not skilled enough to completely fix you. But I know a person who can. Would you be willing to follow me to that person?"

Farea took a moment to evaluate the proposition, and nodded. There was nothing keeping her there, and she had nothing pushing her to leave, except maybe to get repairs, and possibly a refill, which wasn't all that important since she only needed organic matter. "Yes, I'll be willing to follow you if you believe a more capable individual can repair me."
