Happy Valentines Day!
February has come to the Manta Carlos Islands and love is in the air! Those that are interested in seeing what the future brings are making their way to the Underground for the Fortune Telling Festival.
Each night, the streets are filled with colorful tents and caravans and paper lanterns are strung between the buildings. A thin dusting of snow still covers the area, but the streets are dry and fire pits roar with warmth. Many of the business owners have their doors open and are hawking their wares--legal and otherwise--to the festival goers.
There are fortune tellers reading tarot cards, crystal balls, tea leaves, oracle bones, gemstones, you name it! Many students from the academy have set up booths alongside citizens of the island. The prices for the readings may vary from money to something more valuable with costs ranging as high as a year of your life!
Regardless, everyone is willing to pay the sum for a glimpse of the future, and the fortune tellers are more than eager to see what lies inside your heart.
