Follow the city lights

If there was something Yukiko loved to do, it was walking around cities. She had always enjoyed it, since she was a little girl: being surrounded by people, taking in the smells, the sounds, the faces of the people. Maybe it was just her predatory instinct, which caused her pupils to dart from person to person, following any movement, while her tongue flashed in and out of her mouth tasting the air. Or maybe it was just that she liked to feel like a normal person, just one girl among many others, once in a while... Although in that particular city, on that particular island, the concept of "normal people" was shaky at best.

But it was her animal side that enjoyed being outside the most. The city was like a big living being, it had a pusle, a heartbeat, that resonated across the people and the street lights, the cars and the security cameras, the giant ads and the goods exposed by the various shops. Feeling that beat, feeling pulsate within her, was the second best sensation in the world. And please don't ask what the very best was.

This was Yukiko's first time thoroughly exploring that city: after getting lost a number of time, taking turns at random and generally enjoying her time, the girl found herself in a rather isolated area. The sun was setting, and the street lights seemed to be damaged, it really appeared to be one of those tough neighborhoods you'll find in the most peripheric areas. The green-haired bombshell wasn't scared or even worried, of course: after all, she could hardly imagine that the darkness could possibly hide something scarier than herself. Still, it was probably time to get back.

Welp, now which way do I go to get back to the campus?

She wondered aloud.

Now, from all her years of being not just a grade b or grade c but bonafide grade a douchebag, Toxin learned from experience that the best playthings were the ones that weren't aware of the game. No self-respecting Islander would spare Vincenzo a glance, knowing the atrocities he's committed, but newbies didn't know that. To them, Vincenzo was nothing but a mild-mannered Magic major with a suspect wardrobe. He'd given her directions, and now that she'd entered the playground, it was time for a game.

Toxin stalked her to the rooftops, telekinesis making it easier from moving and going over long jumps. Just as she entered the area, Toxin pulled a piece of rope, and down went the collapsing building debris, seemingly locking her in that street. There were windows to the side leading to a dark building, but she had a few toys there too. All in all, Toxin was the sort of girl that liked to have fun.

"Pretty girls shouldn't wander alone at night," Toxin called out from the rooftop, trademark gas mask in place. "You don't seem scared. You're not just a pretty girl, are you? What's the night life without a little fun? Let's play a game!"

[ ooc: tell me if this is alright lol ]

Suddenly there was a rumbling noise, and the street was blocked out with debris. Her eyes quickly darting around, Yukiko assessed the situation: she was, for all intents and purposes, trapped in there, unless jumping into the dark window of an abandoned building counted as an "escape route". But considering her company in that situation, it probably didn't.

Because yes, Yukiko had company, she wasn't alone in that street. A person in a gas mask was standing on the roof of the closest building, saying something about how girls shouldn't wander around at night.

Her hands in her pockets, Yukiko looked up at the apparition.

"So cheesy lines aside, what I hear is that we are alone, in a blockaded area, with no witnesses and the cover of the night."

Her expression suddenly changed, and as she broke in a crazed smile, both her fangs and her snake-like eyes shining in the moon's light. She wasn't the nice, cuteness-addicted, somewhat awkward college girl, in fact, she wasn't even Yukiko anymore: Kaguya's personality, his bloodlust, his predatory instinct, were out in the open, now that there wasn't the risk to be seen. It sure had been a while, and that body could only support a fraction of his original powers, but that person had gone through the trouble to set a trap for him (well, her), it would have been rude to hold back at this point.

"What is this, Christmas in advance? Bring it on, you masked freak*! "

*kono kamen yaro, I think I conveyed it well enough. Yukiko switches from an awkward, forced-sounding Keigo to full-on hamminess when she goes all out.

Lots of bluster for someone all the way down there. Toxin lied down on her stomach, resting her cheek on the palm of her hand and lounging like a pretty cat. Ah, she thought this would’ve been more fun. Look at her elaborate set-up! She wasted all this prep stuff for nothing.

Was she really just taunting her to fight? Please. She wasn’t that stupid.

“Well, come and get me, darling. Who ever heard of beasts jumping into traps? You know what. I’m feeling nice today. I’ll give you some incentive!” She stood up again, a foot on the side of the building. She pulled out two handguns and started shooting at Yukiko, though notably shooting around her. They could fight, of course, but Toxin wanted her so pissed off she’d rip her head off. That was how the hottest fights start, after all.
