He stopped. He... really didn't understand. "Theres... A different kind of good?" He asked. "Kissing is... different..." He at least felt better with an answer, despite it not making sense to him. "I... I mean, I've never... kissed anyone, so I don't..." What was the right thing to say here? Was there a right thing?

Shay rubbed her arm. "Well, I've never kissed anyone either, but of course, there are varying levels of good. You know...like...well, you know." Shay couldn't look at him, this was too awkward. "You have to know, right? You know." That was really all she could say on the matter at this point.

"I... guess?" He said, sounding extremely confused. "I mean... It was... different from ice cream." He said, trying to make it make sense. "Ice cream is... good. But the ear thing was... better? Different, but... better. Does that... Is that what you mean? Um..." He thought about it harder. "My... spine tingled and... I felt really relaxed and happy... my legs got a little shaky, I kinda wanted to sit down... And... I... dunno... It was sorta like the feeling when you pet my tail... It just.... Made me feel... Happy? Like..." He touched his ear. It... didn't have the same effect. "I... dunno. It only worked with you though..."
Does this make sense? Was it better? Please be better...

Shay tried to determine if that was how a puppy felt when they were touched on the ear. Maybe Kenta didn't get turned on like a normal person, or at all? Shay was not an expert on the subject, so it was hard for her to determine. "Um. I guess? I'm talking about getting..." she paused, looking around, then sighed and just went ahead with it, "turned on." And she couldn't explain how that felt to him. She was sure it felt different for boys and girls.

Again, all she got was a blank stare. Were these terms he should understand? She seemed to think so. "I... assume theres... Some kind of meaning to that. Like when you mentioned 'how far' whatsherface went... Is that... another kissing thing?" He asked, absolutely lost. He already told her he hadn't kissed anyone. He kinda doubted it'd feel like his ears anyway...

"Maybe you should....look it up?' Shay suggested, unsure how she was meant to explain this to someone when she wasn't sure on all the details herself. The internet knew everything, though. He had lived a very long time if his tails were an indication, so Shay was almost positive he must have kissed someone before. How could he not have? "I don't know how to explain it to you. Feeling sexual attraction."

"Sexual... Thats..." He stopped, looked as if he remembered something, and then his face went cherry red. "N-no! S-shay-shay, it..!" He waved his hands frantically in front of him. "My ears aren't my..! I just...! They just felt..!" Clearly he didn't understand terminology, but had some understanding of the concept. "I mean, I..! I...!" Finally he bit his thumb to try and quiet down, his face still cherry, and now his thumb was bleeding. He had shut his eyes tight in embarrassment and let his hair cover them as if it would hide him away.

Shay felt bad for having made him so upset. She sucked her lower lip and looked around. What was she supposed to do now? This was why she hadn't wanted to tell him what was on her mind! "So, it's not sexual?" she asked for clarification. She sounded better, at least. Something close to better.

Shay's cheeks were still tinged a light shade of red as she stepped over to Kenta and gently brushed his hair out of his face so she could see it. "Don't be upset, Kenta. I guess I just misunderstood."

"Shay, I..." He opened his eyes and looked into hers. His face didn't lighten. "My ears.... aren't like... that." He told her. "I... I just like it a lot. I don't know if its like kissing. I only know its not like... that other thing because I had to take a health class that..." He was quieter, but he was still unsure what he was saying.

"Okay," Shay said, voice completely neutral. She was no longer blushing, frowning, or smiling. Her mask was back full force as she stared at him stoically. "I believe you." She smiled a hint, only one corner of her mouth quirking. "Can we please drop it now?"
