'WOW! You are the first person I'vew met that can fly asides frm me. AND you like swimming. Your awesome.." she exclaimed, trailing off at the end. She had never imagined that she could meet someone like her in those two ways. It was so strange.

She felt something tugging at her and realized that she couldnt stay in the water for much longer or she would sink. Once her wings became to damp, they would become heavy and pull her down into the water. She started to get a little worried. Without a word, she darted out of the water and rested on a towel she had brought form her room, which was placed at the edge of the lake. She didnt look at him, because she was embarassed at her stupidity.

"Sorry.. I just don't want to drown... My wings.. well.. they get too wet and.. I sink.. and.. ya.." she said quietly, hoping he would understand. She looked up at him to see what he thought

Huh? What...what she say...? I'm....awesome...? Hehe...awesome. That was the thought that ran through Cade's mind when she exclaimed that he is...well...awesome. He smiled while trying to hide his face, which had just turned a bright red. It seemed that the two had some things in common. One, they both have wings. Two, they enjoy swimming. Never did he think that he would meet anyone like him.

He became startled when she suddenly emerged from the water. He watched her zoom over to her towel near the shore. Apparently she would've sunk if she stayed in there any longer with her wings. Cade giggled softly then shot himself out of the water while spreading his own wings. He flew over to the girl. She refused to look at him now. "That's alright. In my case, I have to be pay close attention to my surroundings, or else I would probably ram into a tree." That was an attempt at a joke. That does happen sometimes.

She smiled slightly but she still felt totally embarassed. She couldnt believe how bad she wanted to swim and how bad it would be if she drowned. Why couldnt her wings just, go away? But, of course, she would hate that because she loved to fly.

"Thanks for understanding... " sme muttered quietly. She didnt know what to say. He obviously was trying to cheer her up and she felt terrib le for making him do that. She sighed and looked at him again. He was flying above her. She stood up and pulled her shirt and skirt and pants on (with her wet bathing suit beneath) then shot into the air.

"Wanna race?" she challenged, her wings humming quickly behind her. THis woukld surely dry them of and be fun.

The girl seemed to feeling down for whatever reason. What could be possibly making her feel that way right now, Cade thought. He shrugged at this thought, then began to flap his wings trying to stay afloat in the air. When she shot up into the air, Cade started to fall backwards, but maintained his rhythm by flapping his wings harder. He would've fallen on his backside if he hadn't done so. The girl had now issued...a challenge...to see whose the better flyer. Cade took a moment to think and thought, what the hay, could be fun. "Alright, you're on."

She smiled when he accepted her twirled in the air.

"Alright. First one to that tree" she motioned to a tree about 500 feet away. " wins the race. You ready?" she asked.

He looked over to where the girl had pointed out; a tree five hundred miles from where they stood. That's quite a long way away, he thought. He shrugged and nodded. "That's fine with me." He got into a starting position. "Ready!"

"Ready! Okay.. 1,2,3.. GO!" she yelled as she began to fly, not as quick as she could though, through the air. She watched him closely, not paying full attenition to the flight she was making. SHe smiled as she kept going.

When she yelled out the countdown and signalled to take off, Cade flapped his wings and began to soar through the air not too far behind Danielle. He acclerated and soon managed to pass her. He looked over at her while doing so and sent a small wave. But that would soon cost him. Little did he know a tree was quickly approaching. Before he could realize it, his body struck the tree with a loud thud. "Ooww...." With that, he began his descent to the ground.

She saw as he hit a tree and she quickly sped towards the ground. She grabbed him hand to stop him form hitting the ground then she set him down on the ground gently, being sure not to let him get hurt. She giggled slightly, then bit her tongue.

"Are you alright?" she asked, concerned for his wellbeing.

Cade was starting to feel a slight sensation of vertigo when he suddenly felt a hand grabbing his own. His meeting with the ground was a rather soft and gentle one. He opened his eyes only to see Danielle looking down at him with the utmost concern for his safety. For that, he was grateful. "I'll live. Thanks...." With that, he simply gazed at her, taking note of her beauty, not sure of what else to say....
