Thomasin followed close behind Masami. She wasn't used to walking around the strip, or anywhere, this late at night. In many cases, it was rare to find her out after the sun went down. Tonight was an exception though. It was a chance to try something new and maybe make friends. For her, this meant a chance to experience the world of Manta Carlos in all of its glory. It also meant a chance to let her guard down for the first time in years, which for Thomasin was both exhilarating and terrifying.
She had hoped her inexperience was not so obvious now as she gawked at the brightly colored signs, oddly dressed people, and generally unique nightlife that was the strip. In many ways, it was exactly what she thought it would be, but in others, it was entirely different from anything she could have imagined. This was not the kind of place she would have visited on her own, that much was for sure. Luckily enough her guide seemed knowledgeable, and she couldn't help but marvel as he navigated along the streets, passing by bars and clubs alike. He was a man on a mission. A bloodhound on the scent of his quarry. It was almost as though his instincts were guiding him, his path chosen by experience from countless other hunts before this.
Before long they arrived at a place. A small little hole in the wall of a bar. It was the kind of place that if you didn't know what you were looking for, you might walk right on by. Thomasin Followed him down the steps leading off into a sort of sunken patio, and then through the door. The lighting in here was dim, relaxed and casual. Music streamed from the speakers, though it was not loud or overbearing. Several tables and booths were aligned here and there, and a row of high stools lined a linge long bar counter. Behind the counter was a man, or maybe it was a woman, She couldn't tell and had no interest in asking. Behind the bartender was a large mirror, as long as the bar, and a shelf below it with hundreds of bottles of all sorts of liquors and spirits.
Right away she knew that trying to sit at one of the bar stools wouldn't work out for her, so she pulled gently on Masami's sleeve and gestured to one of the nearby tables. It was averagely sized with four chairs and a few coasters sitting out on it, each one advertising a different drink. Without waiting for a response she went and sat at one of the chairs, taking care to tuck the bottom of her dress neatly under her, as well as to position herself so that her tail would run alongside her legs.
"So, Zis is nice. I mean. I ave never been in a place like zis, but I like it." She said with a happy smile. In truth, she was surprised at how comfortable she felt. Granted she was a little unsure of things, but she had assumed that she would feel even more out of place here. "Zank you for inviting me."
