Alexavier shrugged. "You've got to let it out sometime." He announced, trailing along behind her at a leisurely pace. "Besides, no matter how much I enjoy your company, I've no doubt that as soon as we get to the bottom of these stairs I'm never going to see you again; you've been here longer then I, you know how it is." It was a shame, really; it was. This girl was the perfect combination of... Well, everything, and after today she'd no doubt disappear into the woodwork.

He laughed, first at her taking the hat and then at the fact that it was too big - it slowly slipped down on her head, almost covering her eyes. He tisked, easily plucked it off again, and fiddled with it for a few seconds before dropping it seemingly carelessly back on her head. "If you're going to commandeer the poor thing, it might as well be the right size..." He muttered, offering a grim smile at the girl.

His gaze swept over to her, green eyes staring at the same for a few breaths' time, and then he turned away. But his fingers laced through hers, his hand squeezing hers for a fraction of a second; he doubted if she'd even noticed it. He'd only known her for what, an hour? But, no matter how stupid it sounded, she was the only person he could stand to talk to, who he wanted to talk to; he wanted to be around her just to be around her.

A few minutes of silence, and then a half smile twitched across his face. "Took some thinking, though, didn't it?"

Alexavier glanced over at her, guessing the gist of her thoughts with a frown. He'd accept it, for now... But he'd change her opinion of him if it took him forever.

"So." He ran his free hand through his hair absent-mindedly, wondering for a moment why he was able to do this and then remembering the absence of his hat; he glanced over at the girl walking beside him and smiled. "So, do you have any powers, or what?" He blinked, realized he was speaking in the same offhandish tone that she'd been using earlier, and blushed lightly.

He raised an eyebrow, obviously impressed. "I specialize in illusions, mostly - rather frivolous, I suppose, but occasionally useful." He paused, dropping the hat rather reluctantly on his head, realizing it was still too small but not really caring. "I'm a telepath, as well; just slightly more useless then the creation of phantasmata."

He frowned, leaning towards her slightly. "Changing your body's structure... Invisibility, prolongation, that sort of thing? Or adding extra limbs, changing your eye color?"

Alexavier glanced over at her, emerald eyes darting across her face. "You don't have to answer, if you don't want. For that matter, any time I say something stupid, just smack me in the face." He smiled softly. "Trust me. I'll eventually get it."

He dropped the top hat back on her head, laughing at the look she gave him and "it looks better on you," he said, shrugging lightly.

"Are you, now." He half whispered, green eyes meandering away from her as if trying to keep him from realizing that he'd been struck the same simply because she'd glanced over at him. It worked horribly, if at all.
