"Ella?" He repeated, a light smile appearing on his face for a split second; then it was gone, and he was bowing lightly towards her, turning and doing the same for Leo. "It's a pleasure to meet both of you," He announced, boot incased feet doing an about-face towards Ella again. "And I'm hardly surprised. I've only spent a few short hours within the walls of this splendid academy." He was obviously being sarcastic, although his voice remained as fluid and welcoming as ever.

"It was meant as a compliment, Miss." He paused, thinking for a moment; and almost to himself: "But simply knowing there was a kind thought behind them does not change one's aversion to some words..." A shrug, and he dropped the subject.

He looked down at himself questioningly, finally turning back to her with a shrug. "I'm rather biased on the subject, I'm afraid. Do you find me unique?" He questioned, not expecting an answer.

Alexavier started to say something, stopped, and laughed. "Thank you... I think." She was almost cute when she smiled - truly smiled, not a self-satisfied smirk, although he had to admit even that was oddly endearing. He shook the thought off with a frown, hoping she wasn't a mind reader as well or she'd really hate him. At least then she wouldn't think he was gay... Did she now? He didn't know.

"You appear to be shedding accessories." A gloved finger twirled in a circle towards the girl - he had no doubt she already knew, but there was always the slight chance that there were some cape-stealing gremlins afoot, in which case it'd probably be better if he notified her.

"What a unique power." A smile crossed his face, although he said nothing more. "Although I'm afraid it wouldn't work on me, then..." He sighed, pausing for a moment and then musing "I suppose I'm not strictly a mind reader, however... It'd be interesting to test it, anyway." He smiled over at her, unable to wipe the annoying expression from his face for more then five seconds.

He smiled, and "Telepathic," he announced cheerfully in her head, "as well as an illusionist." A pause, and out loud: "If you answer me mentally, I can hear you, but it's not as if I can really read minds... Only the things you're trying to get me to hear."

Obviously, he wasn't going to be making the quick getaway he thought he was when he'd first awakened. He mirrored the girl, leaning against the opposite wall and, on second thought, dropping down in one of the stone benches littered around the room. They were as uncomfortable as they looked, and Alexavier wished he had a bit more padding to keep him from what he had no doubt would be inevitable bruising.

Emerald eyes swiveled over to Ella again, a frown appearing on his face as he tried to resist the second-grader within him that wanted to mock her, annoy her, anything to make her notice him. He sighed, a hand unconsciously going up to sweep back his hair. At least she didn't have any braids he could pull on... "You seem to know a lot about this school, or at least the inhabitants thereof... How long have you been here, anyway?"

Alexavier frowned at this, one hand balling into a fist and coming up to cover his mouth. That was... He hated...

He shrugged absentmindedly, eyes flickering to her left as if there was more then one Ella he was conversing with. "Because I'm worried..." He drifted off, obviously deep in thought, eyes betraying how he was feeling. And then, suddenly, he turned back to Ella, a frown implanted on his brow and "Are you ok?" he questioned, standing up but remaining where he was. She'd get mad at him if he offered to help, he knew; but that didn't mean he didn't want to ask.

Her emotions were jumbling through the air, although even without his powers it was easy to see the girl was upset, no matter how she tried to hide it.

He swiftly crossed the room to where she was sitting, bending down on one knee until he was eye level with her and frowning in concern. "Hey. You're fine, hear? You know they were wrong, Ella..." He was speaking calmly now, worried emerald eyes seeking out hers. He didn't honestly know what had happened - he wasn't a mind reader, he knew, but he had a rough idea from the upset emotions that were buzzing around in his head.

He frowned, standing up again and stepping back when he realized how close he was to her. She was so good at repressing her emotions, looking perfectly fine when she was nothing but - he could barely even feel her anger anymore, although it was still there. It upset him, the idea of her being unhappy, and he resolved to do his best to try and help her with whatever she had pushed away inside herself. Which, he had to admit, would be rather difficult, seeing as she hated him...

"Look. I know you don't..." He paused, one hand sweeping through his hair. "Don't like me. But..." Here he was, normally so confidant, sure of what he was going to say, stumbling through a simple sentence. "And you don't need to worry about..." He sighed, falling silent.

Wonderful help, he was....

"Hmm?" Alexavier glanced up, a perplexed expression on his face. "Well, I assumed it was an unspoken sort of thing." He scratched the back of his neck, gaze remaining on the girl as if she'd spontaneously combust the second he took his eyes off her. "You don't, anyway... Do you?"

"It was just..." A pause, and he blushed lightly. "But. We were speaking of something else, weren't we?"
