First impressions

A young man was slumped against the wall in one of the larger towers, long legs spread out carelessly and an almost peaceful expression on his face.

Black combat boots housed his feet, barely visible beneath the too-long green cargo pants that were mottled with various mismatched cloth patches that made him more like a clown then a sixteen-year-old.
He was wearing a black pinstriped dress shirt, the sleeves rolled up to just below his elbow to make way for the two watches that decorated one arm, and the hemp bracelet that circled the other.

It was obvious that he'd attempted to tie his hair back, and although most had immediately sprung loose again, the dark blue band still clung furiously to a sizable amount of the ebony locks.
He yawned in his sleep, one hand twitching lightly and a small frown appearing on his face. He was dreaming, that was obvious, but whether it was pleasant or disturbing was hard to tell.

He'd just gotten to the school that day, and after a few hours of half-hearted exploring he'd found the towers. They seemed to be the perfect place to lay low, or at least sleep for a few minutes without bothering with the whole 'meeting the roomie' thing that he was dreading so badly.
He mumbled something, the indentations in his forehead increasing for a moment and suddenly smoothing into nothingness. It was nice, to simply sleep for a change.

Leo opened the door to the tower, and suddenly saw a person sitting there.
Oh sorry Leo said, worried that he might of bothered the dude.
I didn't think anyone was up here...
Leo was ready to go if the dude wanted him to, but he waited, trying not to be rude, or anything

A voice penetrated the male's semi-peaceful slumber, and his eyelids lifted, closed, and lifted again. The image of a tall boy swam into view, and he yawned in answer to the question he hadn't been paying enough attention to hear.

He stood up, brushing imaginary dirt off his shirt as if to be rid of the remaining sleep that was still clinging to his eyes. "Did you say something?" He questioned, voice smooth and even, emerald green eyes slipping over to the window to see what time it was.

"Ah." Alexavier paused, running a hand through his hair and pulling even more from the rubber banded atrocity in the back. He sighed, pulling the band out and stuffing it in a pocket. "I did. But now, not so much. ...Or did you?" He frowned, leaning up against a window and staring out at the tiny students below. "I hate this school..." He muttered, more to himself then the jittery boy behind him.

Why? Why would you hate such a place as this? its amazing. Leo paused, woundering why on earth some-one wouldn't like this place.

"Not the school itself, I suppose." Alexavier allowed, turning halfway around to raise an eyebrow at the boy's words. "Just the students I've met so far. They all seem so... Fake, and although they've all got their share of bad memories, it seems like most are just using them for pity, or to pick up other students." He paused, laughed. "Not that I've met many others. Just not a good first impression, I suppose..."

Alexavier glanced over at the newcomer, offering a polite upward twitch of the lips and then an actual smile at how quickly she transitioned from one emotion to another. "That'd be rather difficult, seeing as he's six feet away," He announced, the end of his sentence muffled by a yawn. Five minutes, and already two people had come up... Odd, considering no one had showed in the hour and a half he'd been up here.

"And what's so incredible about our gender, hmm? Does Starlight Academy have a shortage on males?" He cocked his head to the side, green eyes regarding the girl curiously.

"You're still talking about that?" Alexavier fixed a look of mock disbelief on his face, eyes lazily traveling from the girl, to the boy, to the ceiling.

"Oh, you know." He shrugged lightly, glancing back down at the girl for a second. Didn't she have a guitar a few seconds ago? "Just wanted to know how picky I could be about who I make out with." He winked, turning back to the open window and looking out at the school grounds.

Alexavier considered this. "With the students in, or without?" He questioned, a small smile crossing his face at the thought. He turned back to the girl, frowning lightly as he noticed the cape missing as well. Must be one of her powers... Although, he had to admit, she looked much less like a vampire without her cape...

Well, a bit less like one, anyway.

He chuckled at her question, idly running a hand through his hair. "So vibrant, in everything you say..." He mused, an amused half-grin on his face. "Alexavier, if you need to know so badly, and this is..." He turned a hand towards the other boy, pausing a second and offering him an apologetic glance. "I'm afraid I don't know his name, actually. He just came up a few minutes before you, miss...?"
