Lyra blushed at his comment. She had so many different pairs and colors of the same gloves that it was good to know that he thought they were nice. "Okay." She nodded.
She slowly pulled off her gloves--and it had been a while. The fresh air against her palms immediately made her shut her eyes and and faintly smile. She opened them again and said, "All you have to do is put your palms out and relax."
Lyra watched as he unfolded his hands and put them in front of him on the rock. She took a deep, silent breath. Anything at this moment was possible. He could be a murderer. She didn't believe that one bit though. She hoped she didn't end up somewhere seeing him hurt. She had only just met him and things like that seemed... too deep for her to know.
She closed her eyes and thought about happy things. She lowered her palms towards his, her fingertips grazing his hand for a moment. She paused hovering above his palm and her face heated up. It was almost like she was about to hold his hand but there was purpose in it.
Her palms fully collided with his, and she gently grasped her fingers around the rest of his hand and part of his wrist. She could feel it. The black, darkness. It was seeping into her now, and swirling through memories. She remained quiet and still. Moving would disrupt her focus.
Eventually, an imagine finally came into view. It was blurry but slowly sharpened after a few seconds passed. It.. was... her?
She saw herself walking with Katsuo. They were in a field somewhere, alone. It was dark outside, but there were a lot of stars. This had to be the future. They sat down together on the grass, and looked like... they were flirting. Lyra tried her best not to rip herself from the imagery early but her body temperature was definitely fluctuating. Lyra sat with her hands spread out by her sides, when Katsuo place his hand gently ontop of hers. Lyra glanced at his hand that was ontop of hers now, and when she looked back up at him, he had the most stunning smile.
She had never felt anywhere near whatever emotion this was bringing out of her. He leaned in, at a tortuously slow pace, until she closed her eyes and he did as well. The next thing Lyra knew, she was watching Katsuo kiss her.
She started freaking out on the inside. The image rattled a bit, and so she tried her hardest to remain stagnant. The last thing she saw, Katsuo reached his other hand towards her cheek and Lyra lost it.
Lyra's eyes pierced open wide, and she let out a small gasp. What is she going to do? How is she going to deal with this? Does she lie? She can't tell him. This is insane... he'll think she's making the whole thing up! Oh god.
Lyra was in trouble. She was sweating frantically and it was visible she was extremely racked up right now. Katsuo was going to ask her what happened and if she was okay any minute now, and her mouth could only hang in silence.
She couldn't lie. She wanted to, really she did. But Katsuo was going to see right through anything she said in the coming moments, because of her behavior. She was never good at hiding her emotions. Now wasn't going to be an exception no matter how badly she wished for it to be.
