He sat quietly against a tree, just outside the school, the snow still heavy on the ground. It was cold, he didn't do well in the cold, yet he didn't feel it, he didn't feel much at all.

The bandaged boy would flip through some business card, ones he'd gotten from various magical businesses and consultants. A few from fae, a few from demons, not the best people to make deals with.

The voices started to kick in and he'd sigh, taking a breath and closing his eyes. They never really stopped, just sometimes they were a bit quieter, other times a bit louder. He'd keep his clothes until he heard s voice and he'd slowly open them. He was faced a demon girl, one he recognized. "Uh....hi?" he'd say, "did you need something?" @Abbysaurus

Malicia had a lot of reasons to be worried about the boy she'd met at the community center. First and foremost he seemed to be in the crosshairs of someone she supposed had become her sworn nemesis. Beyond that, though, there was something wrong with his soul. She didn't examine it too closely before, but she could tell there was some serious damage- as well as something else she couldn't identify.
"Hi!" She said. She realized she didn't have a plan after that. She couldn't exactly say 'hey, your soul smells all fucked up are you okay' to someone she didn't even kn-
Of course. The perfect excuse. A totally normal thing for someone to find someone, like, a day later for.
"Uh, I didn't get your name before!"

"Rowan," he'd say, squinting at her a little, "my names Rowan." He'd sit up, not even feeling when a clump of snow fell from the tree, landing on shoulder.

"Uh....I saw you at the community center right?" that night with the soul dealer and all the strangeness. "Don't.....don't think I caught your name either."

The girl didn't look human, but she wasn't triggering his elder sense, so it didn't bother him.

"My name's Malicia Infernagony Satanopheles the 666th!" She replied, holding out her hand with a smile. If there had been any doubt about whether she was a human or not, that name was more than enough to push it out.
"Yeah, I think we met there! Sorry about, uh, all the drama." She apologized. She didn't seem to be bothered by his appearance at all, but she did glance at the snow.
"Uh, do you.. not get hypothermia?"

He'd blink in surprise and confusion at that name, definitely something that would throw the grandson of a pastor for a loop. He'd look at her hand, before taking it and shaking it. "Uh.....good to meet you," he'd say, his southern accent showing a bit.

Rowan would shrug. "I'm used to drama, it doesn't really matter anymore," he'd tilt his head, his eyes kinda curious. "Wasn't your fault anyways, so yeah, its ok."

"Hyperthermia?" he'd ask, "yeah, I can get it."

"You, uh.." She pointed to his shoulder after letting go of his hand. "You're covered in snow."
Snow was one of those things that kills humans, right? If they spend too much time near it their organs start shutting down? She couldn't remember exactly, but she knew it wasn't good.
"Anyways, uh, I just wanted to make sure I didn't make you uncomfortable yesterday."

He'd look at his shoulder. "Huh....yeah I.....I don't feel cold," he'd brush the snow, "or much anything physical really." Not that he currently gave much care regarding his health.

"No, no, you were fine," he'd say, offering a tiny smile, "I'm....I don't know....kinda desensitized I guess." He'd flick some snow from his hands.

"Besides you didn't really do anything....if anything you seemed kinda nice and sweet even though we didn't really talk."

"Oh, uh, thank you!" The only reason she didn't blush was that her skin was red.
"You seem nice too! I was, y'know, kinda worried about that Simmley guy. He's really sketchy. But you seem fine, so, that's great!" She said, taking some time to try and focus on getting a proper smell for what he's feeling currently.

"He....gave me a card," he'd snort, "but I'm not eighteen yet, so it doesn't matter, that's what they all told me." He'd sought out a lot of similar wish granters.

As for what he was feeling, frustration, emotional pain and fear would be the prominent ones. "So, yeah, doesn't matter I guess," he'd say with a shrug.

"You just wanted to ask about all that?" he'd ask, tilting his head.

"Big wishes are usually a scam anyways." She offered with a shrug. She was definitely more concerned after smelling those emotions radiating off of him.

"I was wondering what you were gonna wish for, actually. If it isn't too much to ask." She said. Secretly she hoped it was something that she could do. Anything to keep someone's soul where it belonged.
