"Yeah but..." Perhaps he was being silly. "People are very flashy with their powers. They're able to do so much and defend themselves if anyone attacks them. I'm as weak as a child. If someone attacked me, I'd have to teach myself ways to run away."

He did manage to give her a small smile. "Thank you. I do have a pretty unique look. And Valli said I'm about in the middle range. Once I have my shape-shifting under control, I could make myself look as unique as I want"

Aisha frowned. "That is true....though I haven't ran across any trigger-happy people yet, it doesn't mean they don't exist." She gazed down at her hands. "And I've done a poor job of training...." A sigh escaped her as she flopped against her pillow. Her eyes scanned the ceiling. "I came here to better my powers, and yet I haven't gotten anywhere. How am I going to end my parents if I'm not strong enough?"

Whenever Aisha spoke about wanting to kill her parents, Sprinkles found himself uncomfortable. The idea of killing anyone was wrong to him. The idea of killing your parents was worse. But since he came here, he learned that things weren't as black-and-white as he wished they could be. Sometimes killing was necessary. Everything couldn't be solved with a nice conversation.

"I'm not in a position right now to be a good training partner with you, but I'll be there to encourage you. You could try taking self-defense or combat classes after school. The arena may be a good place to see people's fighting styles life, too."

"I already have been going to arena, though I admit it's to get a nice glimpse or two of Daenmor. Maybe even a little more."

She playfully winked at Sprinkles. "What are you doing about, like, yourself? I know you're like changing to what you want." She didn't have a way to properly word it, especially with her being drunk like this. At least she was aware enough to be able to remember everything. "I'll have to try classes. Speaking of, I'm actually like doing better thanks to you. I can actually move on if like, I can like get math more."

Sprinkles tried to let out a tired sigh to show Aisha had broken what was a heart-touching, emotional moment. Only, halfway through that sigh, he ended up giggling at how even now she could think about how hot some guy was. At least it was a good sign that her mood was improving.

"You mean transitioning?" he clarified when Aisha seemed to have forgotten the word for it. "It's been going well. Really well, actually. Shape-shifting helped me change only what needed to be changed." Unlike the sex swap charms, that changed everything immediately and made him feel he wasn't in his own body anymore.

"I'm happy to hear you're doing better. If you need help with math, don't hesitate to ask me for help."

"I will. But for now, I feel exhausted."

She lightly groaned as she turned over on her side. "Why did I drink so much....." Thankfully it didn't look like she was going to vomit. Her eyelids got heavy. "We should, like, do something fun later...." Her hand went groping about for one of his hands. "I'm happy for your transition. You can ask me for help too." A small smile spread across her face.

"Buuut you probably need some rest too...."

"I might, actually. Having someone to talk to about the changes would be nice." While Aisha held Sprinkles' hand, he returned her small smile with one of his own, though his was one of insecurity. There was the possibility that she was only trying to be nice but would find the subject gross. He didn't want to risk the crack in the friendship, yet how could their trust develop is he expected her to spill out her feelings to him and he couldn't do the same back?

The anxiety was getting to them. Aisha was right. They needed rest. Normally, Sprinkles would argue back by saying he didn't need sleep, but a nice nap was good for his head.

"I'll stay here. Make sure you're alright. But before I sleep, I need to go take a shower and change my clothes."
