Korite recognized a fight club when he saw it. They all were the same to him. A big building, few windows, a shady entrance, and the sound of jeering and shouts visibly reverberated off the walls. He let himself in, and ambled over to someone by an empty ring. It was small, but nothing Korite couldn't move around in. As unlikely as it was, the blind kid with tinted glasses, a cane, a designer jacket and a blank face said to the guy.

"Is this where I sign up for a fight?"

Emer wouldn't often spend time away from her school work or parkour practice, but a fight club didn't seem like a waste of time to her. If anything, she could get a little stronger by going a around or two. Besides, she was always up for showing off. She was already standing at the edge of the ring, stretching out her arms, readying herself for her first opponent. When she heard the kid ask if he could sign up for a fight, she turned around thinking to see a formidable fighter.

What she saw instead was a blind kid, sunglasses, cane, and all. She gave him a skeptical look with her blue eyes.

"Are you lost, kid?" she asked.

Ko sarcastically looked around saying "Oh my I'm in a fight club! How did that happen? Now I'll ask again. Is this where I sign up?" He gripped his cane tighter. After the infirmary he never realized how important it felt. Never came close to breaking before, and the calm from it. It just was perfect. Snapping back, he added. "Or is this walk in and go to slam town?"

(WOO HOO THIS WASNT ARCHIVED IN MY ABSENCE WHICH MEANS I CAN TECHNICALLY CONTINUE) ((on a serious note sorry for the months long wait))

Ok, this kid obviously meant business. She didn't realize her remark would make him so tense, yet he looked like he was going to splinter his cane with his grip. Guess he wasn't as helpless as she thought. Still, she liked his attitude, and it was putting her in the mood for a fight.

"Yeah, just write your name here and meet me in the ring." she answered as she pointed to an open book on a podium.

Her own name was there, written in her sloppy handwriting, along with a bunch of other fighter's names. Then she headed for the middle, cracking her knuckles as she went. She had no idea how tough this guy was, but she got the feeling that snappy blind people were probably more lethal than they looked.

Ko Signed in neat cursive romaji. He took off his jacket (a rare sight outside the ring) to show the plain white tee, and intricate blue art covering his right side. He set the cane neatly aside, and stood in an awkward looking stance, tall with flat palms.

He was envisioning past fights. Everything he learned. Rules weren't always a problem before, which made things messy. The Boston fights weren't clean. They were drunken brawls in some little pub or another that eventually became regular and monetized. Inebriated Irishman don't care for rules.

"Anything goes?" he said, lowering his stance.

Emer thought that maybe she should have had some epic entrance idea. The kid was taking off his jacket like he was about to slam her to the wall, while she was just stuck with yoga pants and a tank top. Maybe next time she'd bring a hoodie to fling off and reveal her toned arms with. At first he seemed to know what he was doing, but then he took the strangest fighting position she had ever seen.

She gave the boy a confused look as she analyzed his stance. It looked like he was ready to go push some crates around. Emer was just stuck with the usual "feet spread apart and fists guarding your face" stance. As she looked him over, she thought of where to hit first. She didn't know his style at all, let alone how his stance worked. Where was one supposed to strike a blind person?

Then he wanted to know if anything went. The red head just smirked in response. As long as being blind could go, some muscle and bone modification could go as well.

"Right." she grunted then pushed off the ground and headed straight forward.

It was just a hook punch. Starting simple to see just how capable he was.

Ko had the bittersweet relief of knowing there was no holding back, even if it rarely ended well. Very, very, rarely.

Ko concentrated and quickly rolled through his options. Muay thai? BJJ? TKD? He settled and the style that encompassed most, Krav. He tuned his senses down to sound and sight. He'd hear a punch before he would see it.

A hook right out the start? Korite turned his right arm up like a triangle to protect the side of his head, twisted on his feet and threw a jab with his left, no wind up, all throwing weight. Strength didn't win fights, explosiveness and speed did. Basic Krav Maga. Constant Combat.

The kid had a tough block, tough enough to stop Emer's fist. He also had a quick punch, quick enough to take her a bit by surprise. So he was decently tough after all. Nevertheless, she sidestepped, keeping her fists up by her face for protection. With a missed punch, he left an opening, and Emer gladly took it.

Swinging her right leg, she brought it around to his head in a fast roundhouse kick. If he really was stronger than she thought, she'd have to skip the punches and go straight to her kicks. She hoped titanium bones and fiber glass muscle wasn't enough to topple him in one hit. That would just make things boring.

Ko barely saw her move. Frame one: He's standing facing her. Frame two: Her leg is connecting with his shoulder, a little lower than the probable target. Frame three: Korite is thrown to the side.

The space to his right suddenly becomes floor. Ko didn't feel the slightest bit of connection to her mind from the contact, which was puzzling. He was up like nothing happened, easily tuning out the sensation of pain. He simply stared ahead, and looked and listened intently.

The kid was up like nothing happened. Emer had to admit he was a resilient one. Even still, she had landed a hit which was more than he could say. When he got back up, he just waited with no sign of retaliation or counter attack. Was this a trap? Was he hoping she'd strike again? No matter the case, the fact still remained that she had to knock him out which wasn't going to happen if she didn't attack.

So she closed the space between them and pivoted on her right foot, jutting the left out in a back kick. She was hoping to hit him right in the solar plexus, knock the wind out of him, finish the combo, and call it a win.
