Dorn stopped for a few moment outside of the dorm before he walked inside, he sighed a little and moved the bag from the left shoulder to the right. He was feeling very down at the moment, the meeting with that girl Cass had really drained his spirit. Yea she sure had been a cute girl and seemed friendly in some ways. But she was a little to....rude and to the point. It was most likely the fact that she had made fun of him like she did without even getting to know him at all. Dorn was not a person to hold a grudge but it still hurt when people laughed at things he thought interesting and fun, made him feel like he was weird.

The boy shook his head a little and then he walked and opened the door to enter, he quickly made his way to the room he used. He threw the bag on a chair and then himself face down in the bed...he sighed slightly and then he rolled over so that he was looking up into the celling. He looked at the time....he would have to take his medicin in around five minutes or so. But he did not feel like moving at all. Dorn closed his eyes for a moment and tried to regain his focus, then he shook his head and sat up. He wondered a little where Nikki could be right now, Dorn had seen him much of course but only this morning when they where eating breakfast. Well Dorn had used most time in the library and Nikki was not much a book worm for the things Dorn was reading anyway.

Nikkolai glanced at the alarm clock next to his bed and nodded at the time. Dorn had left earlier and he was sure his friend would be back by now, if only for the fact that he was going to have to take his medicine. Being the responsible friend he was, Nikki decided to go check on him, but not before grabbing a container of vanilla ice cream from the freezer.

Dorn’s room wasn’t too far from his, so the walk was quick. Nikki knocked on the door, shifting the ice cream container on his arm somewhat. He hadn’t realized just how cold it was going to be until he had been holding it like so.

“Hey, Dorn, can I come in?” Nikki asked. Without waiting for a response he turned the handle and entered the room, setting the container down on the table and then turning his head to look at his friend.

Oh, yikes. He didn’t seem very happy. “You okay, man? What’s up?” It was a good thing he had brought the ice cream, he supposed. He had a feeling they were going to need it.

Dorn looked towards the door when it knocked on it, then he heard the familiar voice of Nikki. Speak of the devil as the saying said, well not much of a devil in Nikkis case anyway. Dorn was just about to tell him that he could come in but he did not have the time to do so before Nikki walked inside anyway. Not that Dorn minded that much, if he wanted to keep Nikki out or the other way around the best way was to lock the door to the room.

Of course Nikki noticed right away that something was wrong with him, he if anyone should notice that of course. Dorn frowned a little and then he thought about what he would say. "Well....depends on what one mean by okey really, okey as in happy okey or just healthy okey" he laid down on the bed again and looked up into the celling. "and right now not much is up, I just had a rather unpleasent meeting in the library around half an hour ago." he closed his eyes for a moment again and then he opened them and looked over at Nikki. "Nikki, you think I am weird for liking to read books about....well Space calculations?"

Nikkolai’s arms folded as he listened to Dorn speak. An unpleasant meeting…? With who? It wasn’t a secret that Nikki couldn’t hurt anyone at all, but that didn’t stop him from wanting to know. Dorn was like a brother to him – Nikki had to do something to try and make things right.

Dorn had posed his question and Nikkolai lifted his brows in astonishment. “Weird? What the hell, who said that?” he asked. He pulled at the cap of the container, able to get it off finally after a couple of tries. He reached into a nearby drawer and pulled out two spoons before joining Dorn on the bed, holding out a spoon for him and keeping the ice cream between the both of them.

“You know I don’t. What happened?” He knew not everyone was as kind and accepting as he was, but really he didn’t think anyone had the right to make fun of anyone else for doing something they enjoyed.

“Oh, and you gotta take your medicine,” he reminded.

Dorn had to smile as he watched Nikki, he always seemed so carefree about everything. Guess that´s why Dorn liked him so much. He thought for a moment what he would reply to the question. He slowly sat up on the bed. "It was a girl I meet in the library" he began calmly and moved some hair away from his face as he was talking, he followed Nikki with the eyes as he picked out the spoons and then he moved a little to give his friend more room on the bed as he sat down.

Dorn accepted the spoon and examined it for a moment before he turned the eyes to Nikki again. "Thanks Nikki" of course he knew that Nikki did not mind that at all, he just needed to hear him say that. But Dorn could guess that Nikki understood that aswell. He made a pause to think what he was going to say to explain what had happened. "Well as I said I meet this girl in the library, in fact I walked right into her by accident when I was looking at books. Things did not start very well and you know how I can be around people I do not know." he sighed slightly and took some ice cream before he continued. "She complained about I was close to ruin her nails....and I tell you those nails must have costed a fortune. I´m happy I did not break them or things would have ended to make the money for me and mom even worse." he shook his head slightly. "She laughed at me Nikki, when I told her about....well that I enjoyed reading hard things. I mean I am not a person to be hurt very easily....but it just you know, seemed as if she did not take me seriously at all and it hurt. What kind of nickname is space man?" he shook his head again as he said this.

He frowned a little to the last comment about the medicin, then he sighed and reached out for the white bottle next to the bed, he looked at it for a moment before he opened and picked out a small pill. "a wonder that most money mom is making goes to these small....things" he took some more ice cream and placed the pill on the spoon before he eat everything. "I really do not want to have to take these stupid pills all my life....sometimes I really think about just throwing them out the window."

Nikkolai, being the good listener he was, sat silently as Dorn talked and nodded and reacted at the appropriate times. He snorted at the mention of the girl’s nails – how petty was it to spend that much money on something that wouldn’t last forever? Nikkolai shook his head, completely seeing Dorn’s point on the matter.

And then when he mentioned the girl laughing at him, Nikki made a soft squeal with the spoon in his mouth, halfway through swallowing. He started coughing, almost choking, and clenched his eyes shut at the coldness that swept through his insides at the ice cream slid down his throat. “Bitch be trippin’…” he grumbled. “What the hell… did she even apologize?” Nikki’s eyes narrowed. It was rare that he called anyone a bitch, but he figured Dorn probably wanted the reinforcement, at least for the time being.

He reached out a hand and ruffled his friend’s hair, taking another spoonful of ice cream and eating it before he spoke again. “It’s all right, man. Sometimes you meet people like that, it happens.” Nikki shrugged. “The important people are the only ones who matter.”

He shook his head. “You know you can’t do that,” he said. “They may cost a lot but they’re saving your life. You can’t just throw them out because you don’t want them. I’d cry if anything happened to you.”

And he wasn’t being overdramatic, even though he sounded so in the hopes his comedic tone would lift Dorn’s spirit.

Dorn smiled at Nikki when he called her a bitch. It was weird to hear him call anyone something like bitch, coming from Nikki that was very special indeed. He sighed and shook his head. "No, not really to that" he replied to the question if she had appoligized or not. He ate some more ice cream and then he smiled slightly as Nikki ruffled his hair, it was nice to have someone to talk to in this place. So far he only knew Nikki and that boy Seth, well he did not really know him very well but he seemed friendly enough for a person.

Dorn nodded at his words. "Yea I know, that is the sadness of the world I guess. Not much we can do other then to make the best out of it and be with the once who thinks alike." he stretched out and gave Nikki a slight poke on the nose with his finger. "Right fluffball?" he grinned as he said this.

When the talk about the medicin came up Dorn listened, his face turned a little more serious and he nodded. "Yea I know Nikki" he said and took another spoonful of ice cream. "I am just so tired of it all you know....I mean I am draining more money then what both mom and dad did together. Besides I only said I was thinking it....but I guess that is bad enough. Things was so much better before dad died." he smiled a weak smile and ruffled his friend in the hair the same way he had done with Dorn a moment before. "But I have no intention of letting anything bad happen to me anytime soon, no you will have to stand being with me for a while longer Fluffball." he made a pause and shook his head slightly. "Oh and mom asked me to give you this when I talked to her in the phone before" he reached out and picked up a bottle with medicin and handed it to Nikki. "Just in case I would lose my own bottle for some unknown reason"

Dorn reached out and poked his nose, causing Nikki to wrinkle his upper lip and furrow his brows. “Hey now,” he said, “if you’re expecting some sort of noise or special trick it most certainly isn’t going to happen. I can’t do cartwheels, you know that.” He poked his tongue out from betwixt his lips, aware of how childish the action was but hardly caring enough to refrain from it.

Nikki’s smile became a sad, solemn one at the mention of his friend’s father. There was a part of him that felt horrible and felt the loss just as badly as his friend did – and he was sure it showed. “Well, you can only move forward,” he said awkwardly, his tone soft. What else could he say to ease the apparent grief and longing? Nikkolai wanted to say more, even if his words wound up having no merit, but the ruffle of his hair stopped him. He laughed and his smile managed to become somewhat more genuine. “Aw, rats, I have to keep you around longer? Siiighhh…” Nikkolai snapped his fingers and exhaled loudly with his final word.

He blinked and looked down at the bottle, but nodded and got up on his knees a little so he could pocket the object. “Yeah, sure,” he said. “I don’t mind. How is your dear mom? Does she miss you already, trying to convince you to come back home?” He grinned.

Dorn frowned slightly at the first words, then he had to laugh. "Well If I had wanted tricks then I should have gotten myself a dog. But then again the difference between you and a dog are very little" he also poked out his tongue like Nikki. Then he laughed again and took another spoonful with ice cream. It feelt nice to just be here eating ice cream with his best friend...yes it just felt like it always had been.

About the talk of his father and Nikkis words that he could only move forward Dorn nodded before he said anything about the matter. "Yea I know, I also know he would have wanted me to do so. I have mom and you, I`m fine and it was a few years ago. Nothing I should get stuck at."

Dorn tilted his head to the left as he looked at Nikki and then he grinned slightly in an amused way. "Yea you sure have to, I am not going to leave you for a while. But then again I know you love having me around. You just can´t admitt it" he giggled again and ate some more of the ice cream. Then he thought about the question of his mother. "Well she is okey really, of course she tries to convince me to come home. You to you know, she tells me things are to calm without the two of us around. We are the life of the street."

The grin grew a little and then he quickly reached out and grabbed Nikki pulling him down on the side of the bed and then he began to tickle him...of course he made sure the ice cream was unharmed....of course. "Admitt you love having me around now Fluffball." he said and laughed as he tickled his friend. "I will not stop until you do"

Nikkolai’s jaw dropped as Dorn, basically, called him a dog. “Oh that was harsh!” he said. “I think I’m gonna need some ice for that burn.” He lifted his left index finger to touch his right bicep and made a soft sizzling sound, as if he had literally been burned by Dorn’s statement.

He snorted as Dorn assumed he loved having him around. “I don’t know what would ever give you that idea,” he said with what was as close as he could get to a smirk. He felt kind of bad, joking so meanly – but it was only joking, right? It wasn’t like he meant any of it. Dorn knew he didn’t mean a word of it.

Nikki took another scoop of ice cream and chuckled, nodding his head in agreement. “Well I don’t know if we were. You know I’m not a party animal. She probably just wants us back… can’t blame her, though, not with how lovable we are.” He laughed and took another scoop, trying to preserve as much of the precious ice cream as he possibly could. There were more containers in his dorm anyway, but they couldn’t just waste an entire carton of ice cream every time one of them was upset.

…

What the hell was he thinking? Of course they could.

He wanted to say more, but Dorn grabbed him and pushed him down. Nikkolai squealed as Dorn began tickling him and writhed in his grasp, throwing his head back and laughing. “Th-that’s not fair!” he exclaimed. “Bah, Dorn, come on! EEP!” Nikki giggled, failing epically at pushing Dorn off of him. Well, that was what he got for not having any muscle or strength to him. “Cheater!”
