"Oh.. I'll trust your judgement, then." Darius said when Abel had made a decision. As time went on, he clearly became more comfortable, but he was still obviously fidgety. Partly because he was never the one to have too many friends, and partly because he was starting to realize how awkward it was without Zephyrus around. This feeling surprised him, but it was also true that, ever since he had made a pact with her, he had never actually been without the spirit for a long period of time. And now that he was exposed to a place where other people had special abilities and could potentially be a threat to him, Darius began to feel that sending away his only means of protection was probably a mistake. Knowing Zephyrus, she legitimately wouldn't return until she found an "eight-leaf clover". But did those even exist?

He had clearly drifted off again in thought for a moment, but after a few seconds he would reply to Abel's question. "Uh, well... It's alright, I guess. I'm not really used to being around other people who aren't, you know.. normal?" He shrugged. Where he came from, the only "abnormal" people were those who made pacts with spirits, but he had become used to that since an early age. It was only a few years ago he realized that other special abilities existed. "Where do you come from, anyways? If you don't mind me asking, of course."

Abel understood what this place was, but he didn't feel like he was in danger. There was something about a place like this, that was so institutionalized, that made him feel safe. The idea that they had been doing something like this for as long as they have made him think that they had procedures and protocols to ensure the saftey of all of the students they invited here. After all, Abel had already seen some children who were as young as middle school and high school going to and from class. He couldn't fathom a place like this putting children in danger.

When Darius mentioned the fact that they were surrounded by 'not normal' people made him think for a moment.

"Well, I was born in New York, but raised in New Jersey, and my parents are from the Philippines," he answered his question first.

"...and you know... Since pretty much everyone here, is 'special'... that kinda means, no one is. That means we are normal," he explained with a nod.

"Eh heh, but a thorn by any other name would cut just as deeply, I suppose," he added.

"I don't even know what you're saying sometimes, man," Tim jabbed, to which Abel just chuckled.

"So, anyway... where are you from, Darius?" Abel decided to return the conversation to something more simple.
