Compared to the other estates that dotted the nicer parts of the city, Yskaandrar manor was decidedly quaint. Much smaller and without as many comforts, it was as simple as Oriana would allow herself to live. Up in her study, she sat in a comfortable chair and enjoyed her morning tea. She was reading a tome, a history of the Yskaandrar clan, with names and parentage listed. A rather odd call had reached her some days before. A member of hr clan, a certain 'Coaxoch' had resurfaced after apparantly leaving the family some decades before. And now she was wanting to reconnect.

Oriana had been skeptical at first. It was a bit convenient after all. But given her own issues with acceptance within the clan, she couldn't make snap dismissals. If the claims were legitimate, she would appreciate the welcoming back of a family member who wasn't brought up in the anti-outsider politics that had been pervading the clan the past decade. So she decided to extend an invitation to the manor to this supposed prodigal cousin. And in the meantime of waiting, she would do a little research.

Once she was satisfied that the name Coaxoch at least existed within their recors, Oriana allowed herself to wait until her guest arrived. She instructed one of the staff she had hired to let Coaxoch in through a side door, rather than the main entrance. No use kicking up a fuss with the rest of the clan. Oriana sipped her tea thoughtfully. Hopefully, she could get on this clanmate's good side before the naysayers sunk their talons into her.

Man, this was so awesome. She is finally getting to reunite with her clan, and talk to the head, no less. This was so exciting for Koko. After just moving here and spending a few hours beforehand preparing for the next semester, receiving the summon was a huge mood booster. Plus she got to hang out in a manor for a while, that's pretty cool.

What wasn't cool though, was her being shipped through the side door after being picked up. She was kind of curious why though. Probably best to wait and ask that question for a bit, don't want to make a bad impression. Though, given her lack of knowledge in traditional subjects, she was a little bit nervous. But like any Solo, she just had to show off her confidence and continue forward.

Entering the study of Oriana, she smiled at the head dragon. Oh, Lady Oriana managed to survive the attack. Thank goodness, she was sure it would be someone else. Though, not seeing Bastion was definitely unsettling.

"Ah, Lady Oriana. We never met, but I am the daughter of the Shadowfire branch. Coaxoch Shadowfire, youngest of the family. I'm pleased to see you alive and well."

Koko took a bow, waiting for Oriana to speak now.

Oriana set her tea down and stood to greet her guest. The woman was shorter than sheoght have anticipated, but that had little bearing on her as a dragon. A dragon's height couldn't be measured by their humanoid form.

Crossing the room, she extended a hand to Koko and gave a small, business-like smile. "Good to meet you, Coaxoch. I'm glad to see other members of the clan alive as well. It has been a hard decade, and any small good news is a blessing."

She gestured to the chairs behind her, as well as the tea set on the table between them. "May I get you anything? A drink? Please sit, regardless. We have much to discuss, and quite honestly not enough time to go over everything."

Koko nodded, listening carefully. She wasn't too thrilled on the whole business talk, but it was bound to happen. What with the almost wipe of the clan. Anyway, Koko sat down, nodding at Oriana.

"Yeah, of course. So, I guess to kind of explain, I left the clan to go and learn about music. Came back to find our home destroyed and no sign of anyone there. So, I just continued to hang out for a while until I heard you guys were here. So I came. Oh, and I'd love a coffee."
