Exploring, and Wandering - Open to Anyone

Legion wandred aimlessly around the hallways. It was a stormy day outside, so, if anything should happen, Legion would be there to help out. Or, at least cause the fuse to blow. Whichever best suited him. He had shed his trench coat at he beginning of this particular hallway. Figuring he didn't need it. Legion's diamond studded dagger was safely in it's sheath on his upper left arm. Luckily, Legion had worn his black, long-sleeved shirt, so he wouldn't be cold. It seemed, that the further he went in this hallway, the colder it got. Legion didn't know the history of this school. It seemed harmless enough.

Legion walked to a door at the end of the long hallway. He went to turn the knob, but found that it was jammed. He looked out a dusty window. He could see lightning striking in the distance. Thankfully, Legion had drank two Gatorade, so his energy and strength should be good. He focussed his power, and lightning burst through the dirty window. The lightning swirled around his fingers, and then shot at the jammed door knob, shattering it. "Oops..." Legion said, not actually intending the knob to shatter. The broken door opened with an ominous creak, and Legion walked in. Not knowing what to expect.

Why did it have to keep storming?

It wasn't helping her.

At all.

The woman leaned back in her chair, gazing up at the ceiling. Brown hair laid behind her shoulders and she just stared up at the tiles, shutting her eyes after a while. Life sucked. Her son was dead, her husband, and his own mother had done it, too.

She had always expected to be an angsty teenager. Her parents had as well. But this... this was beyond angst. Far beyond angst. Sighing, Adelina tapped her fingers on the top of the desk, trying to get her mind off of it. She still had Alyeria and October. Everything would be fine.

Adelina had been about to lay her head on the desk, but the door knob had shattered. Opening her eyes, the widow kept her eyes on the door, just to see if anyone came in.

And someone did.

She watched him, sighing. "Scared of the rain?" the ice elementalist asked bitterly. When she got into these sort of moods, Adelina went back into her old, rude self.

Legion was startled at the sound of a voice coming from within the shadows of the dark room. He found a light switch, and flicked it on. "Not at all," Legion answered to the girl's question of, 'Scared of the rain?' Legion looked at the girl. Fairly attractive, brown hair cascading over her shoulders. He flashed her a smile, and walked further into the room. Books, and old desks were laden with dust, and cobwebs. Legion was glad he didn't have any allergies. Or, at least none that he knew of. "Hi," he said to the girl. Who didn't look to happy. "I'm Legion. Nice to meet you."

"Not at all."

"Then why don't you just go away?" she snapped. Dark eyes narrowed and she stared at him, folding her arms now. She wasn't in the mood to be around other people. Not in the slightest. When he gave that smile, her eyes narrowed even more.

He needed to leave. She didn't want him around. She had been there first, after all. And that totally gave her the right to act like this room belonged to her.

"I'm Legion. Nice to meet you."

Her eye was twitching by now. "Does it look like I care about your name?" she hissed. "But I'm Addie."

Lightning crackeld outside, Legion could hear it. Focussing his energy once more, lightning crackled around Legions fingers. "Why can't we be friends, Addie? Do you have something against me?" He looked at her, and a dark mask formed on his face. "Why do you have to be so mean? What did I do to you?" Legion was angry at the fact that Addie made it seem as if this were her room. Which, it wasn't. "Why should I leave? I was curious. You have a problem with it, take it out with me." The lightning grew brighter, and more fierce looking.

"Why can't we be friends, Addie? Do you have something against me?"

The woman snorted in contempt. She had a feeling he was one of those new students who went around begging for friends. "Pfft, yeah. You're in my room," she said, glaring at him. She really hated it when people didn't listen to her. And when she was in this sort of mood... it wasn't really wise to be messing with her.

She then noticed the lightning. "Is that a challenge?" she questioned, though she already believed that it was.

"... What did I do to you?"

Wasn't that obvious? "You bothered me, idiot..." she mumbled.

"... You have a problem with it, take it out with me."

With that said, Adelina stood up, cracking her knuckles. Oh, she would definitely take it out with him. She needed to take her rage and her depression out on someone, and this kid had walked into the room. He was the perfect target.

A thin layer of ice came over her fingernails and spread to the desk, which then spread to the floor, quickly traveling up the wall as well. She pointed a finger at him, ready to start this fight. Without even a word being spoken, Adelina pointed her palm toward him, causing ice spike to head in his direction.

The storm outside the room became much, much worse. Leaving Legion with a lot of ammo to work with. "Of course it's a challenge, are you blind?" Lightning worked it's way around Legion's arms. In a split second, lightning hit the ice spike, sending shattered pieces around the room. Some of the pieces heading back at Addie. "Oops, sorry love. Hope that didn't hurt." Along with the ice pieces, Legion sent two bolts of lightning at Addie.

Adelina growled as the lightning shattered her ice, and quickly ducked near a desk to dodge the pieces. Unfortunately, though, one of the lightning bolts hit her in the leg and her eyes went wide. Adelina got back to her feet, dragging that one leg up with her. She couldn't move it, but she knew that it hurt. A lot.

She stared angrily at him. "Don't call me love," she spat. "I'm married." That might come as a shock to him, seeing how rude and cold she seemed. But she could be a lot nicer when she chose to be.

There was no way she was taking mercy now. She formed a large ice ball in her hands and threw it at him, quickly following it with more spikes. She wanted this to be finished with as soon as possible. If worse came to worse, she would probably even use her sword.

Legion ducked to avoid the ball of ice, and even a few dozen spikes. He got hit with a few ice spikes in his right arm. Because he defended his face from the spikes with his right arm. "Your aim must be way of, Addie!" Legion said, jumping in the air, out of the way of a few remaining spikes. While in the air, Legion noticed a sword strapped to her waist. Legion got a sudden idea. He focussed his energy, and then sent a strong bolt of lightning at her sword.

Because of her leg, Adelina was forced to pretty much stand still. She had turned a little in an effort to dodge the lightning, but it hadn't worked. The bolt collided directly with her sword and she fell to the ground, eyes widening in distress when she heard a rather large 'crack'.

She forced herself to sit up and the woman quickly unsheathed her sword. She stared at it, lip trembling when she saw a huge crack running right down the middle.

The elementalist broke out into a sob, bringing her weapon closer to her and just hugging it. The ice that had been on the desk and floor melted away and she just held her sword, crying. Her dad had made that... and here it was, with a crack in it. And her father wasn't here anymore to fix it.

Brown eyes looked back toward Legion. She then looked away from him. Lately, everything just seemed to be spiraling downwards... and she hated it.
