Amphy admitted that he was being a little bit silly. How stupid was it for him to start crying in public about not going to the wrong stall? What was he, a child? Internally Amphy was cursing his predisposition to panic as Ardos walked with him to the stall with soft, sweet music that made the faun want to sway.

And.... he could feel Ardos's arm around his waist, feel the warm skin and to an extent he could feel his muscles too, gained from work and swinging around that giant sword. It sent a shiver up his spine that he immediately felt bad about.

But it was becoming increasingly clear to him that maybe--just maybe--there was something there for him. Maybe Ardos liked him as a little bit more than a friend, and even if he didn't Amphy thought that there was something there, maybe a fondness or a special attentiveness that he didn't give anyone else. The faun had confessed to liking the drow over social media where he knew he would be safe from Ardos' eyes and ears (paradoxically) and everyone seemed to call him silent and unemotive and generally mean.

If Amphy had to put together a three word profile for Ardos based on today alone, the three words he would definitely not use were silent, unemotive, and mean.

Amphy watched the stage and couldn't keep a wistful look out of his eyes, his chin resting on the head of Mr. Bearington as he stealthily sidled closer to Ardos, keeping the reasons he would want to move his arm from around the shorter boy's waist to a minimum.

When the hand was offered, Amphy gulped and carefully set down the bear, slowly sliding his hand over Ardos'. "I'm.... pretty clumsy but I'd love a dance."

"I'll lead. Don't worry." He meant it.

Ardos didn't really know what sort of dance this was, but he was thankful that his talents lied in the physical realm. He glanced at what the crowd was doing and picked the movements up with relative ease. Copying the newer dancers in the crowd, he took Amphy's hand into his own and pulled him closer by the waist, intimate and private even among the company of other people.

The singer's beautiful voice vibrated as his heart did somersaults, soft piano keys dissonant next to the spreading ache in his chest, eyes burning with fondness and affection. Ardos' footing was steady and reassured when his thoughts were anything but. His hand left Amphy's, but he still lead the dance with the hand on his waist, following the rhythmic movement of the dance. The now free hand reached out to tentatively touch Amphy's face, the back of his finger briefly playing with bouncy brown curls before his palm found his cheek, a thumb gently caressing soft skin.

Ardos prided himself on his stability the most, but in this moment, he was all raw nerves, largely exposed, sensitive to the point it almost hurt. Whatever semblance of self-control he had, holding himself back for Amphy's sake (he was a bad man, he didn't deserve to be in his life), was starting to crack bit by little bit, dam threatening to break into an emotional mess he knew he wouldn't be able to control. His hand traveled from Amphy's cheek to his chin, thumb lightly grazing his bottom lip.

Soft and. Close. So close.

"Please tell me if I'm making you uncomfortable," he said, voice shaky near the end. It wasn't a statement so much as a plea. He wanted an end to this madness. He wanted Amphy to tell him that he was and he should leave, so Ardos could wash his hands of this affair and go home to lick his wounds. At the very very back of his mind, the one not controlled by fear, he wanted Amphy to tell him to keep going. He wanted this. He shouldn't, but he did, more than anything he ever wanted before.

The faun let his hand be grasped by Ardos, and felt the arm pull him closer, and suddenly every part of Amphy was on fire, keening and squirming and yearning for attention. He needed Ardos to hold him, touch him, kiss him, make him feel handsome and loved and wanted. He wanted to press his body against Ardos and whisper soft secrets against his skin. But all he could actually do was let the drow ease them into the dance, where Amphy looked down at his feet to make sure he was stepping right.

Slowly, slowly, Amphy raised his head until he was looking at Ardos' face (he was so handsome, why why why) and his eyes held wonder as he was lead in an unfamiliar dance, his heart beating so fast and his hand prickling from every nerve.

He was nervous, so nervous, as Ardos released his hand and lead him purely by the waist. When the hand touched his face he leaned into it, almost softly nuzzling his hand with eyes closed lest they betrayed how sickeningly and deeply he was in fucking love.

It scared him that he could love someone who wasn't his. Someone who might never ever be his. The revelation made him shake, but he sought Ardos' skin as some sort of grounding agent, his free hand moving to Ardos' shoulder, both hands crawling towards his neck, his fingers questing up his jugular to his partially shaved head until both hands cupped the back of his head and he swore his could feel the dark elves' pulse under his rough skin.

Ardos hand moved from his cheek to stroke his lip, and Amphy opened his eyes.

They were alive. Bright, hopeful, with so many fond thoughts running in his head that he must have looked dazed by their sheer volume. He was dumb. He was positively stupid with affection.

"You're not," he said softly, barely audible over the soft music.

He got on his tip toes and pressed his forehead against Ardos', Amphios' long lashes brushing against his cheek. He could feel breath on his lips.

He was so close.

Amphy swallowed audibly. "Please," he muttered softly. He needed to be kissed. He needed to be. Every part of him ached for this contact.

The fingers on the hand around Amphy's back curled as he clutched Amphy close to him. He didn't make him comfortable, he said, and then he followed it up with a please that couldn't be mistaken for anything else.

Everything around him was loud and drowned his head with music and colors mixing with the bright, bursting love exploding in his chest. He was nervous. He felt like if he made a mistake, everything he wanted real and tangible would slip through his clumsy fingers. This scenario was funny, in a bitter sort of way. Ardos could stare death in the eyes and rush into battle with no fear, but this was different. This... was important.

He couldn't mess this up. It felt like the world was being offered to him, and in a sense, it was true. Everything could melt down, but so long as Amphy remained, Ardos would've been fine and content.

He started with several kisses around his cheek, his face, working up the courage, trying to grasp the concept that this was real and it was happening and his heart felt like it was going to soar. When his lips finally met his, Ardos supported Amphy's entire weight into his arm and dipped him, kissing him deeply and passionately, almost desperately. Everything felt too little and too much, all at once.

@"Poptart"

Amphy felt himself be pulled a degree closer to Ardos. He could feel the warmth of the Drow's body, and could almost feel the frantic thrum of his heart. The faun swallowed, and to him there was nothing outside of this little bubble of him and Ardos. There was no world, no festival, no nothing but this moment where their skin touched.

Each kiss was like a little spark being set off just under his skin, a tiny shudder rippling through his body as he got what he wanted in tiny spoonfuls, like drops of water for a man lost in the desert.

And then--

And then.

God it felt like an explosion of sound and color as the world started around him again. Wind filled his ears as he was dipped, too clumsy to stay upright but Ardos was strong enough to support him, and in that moment Amphy needed it. The faun hadn't known how starved he was for this simple touch, for lips to slide softly over lips and tongues curling soft and hungry all at the same time.

As they kissed deeply, Ardos could probably feel a ball of something hot and definitely metal on the top of Amphy's tongue, and also feel a slight scratching as the piercing went through. Ardos' face full of metal had--embarrassingly enough--made Amphy curious.

The muscles in his arms bunched and pulled him up a little with his grip on Ardos' shoulders. He didn't want him to pull away. He wanted this to last forever, with every inch of skin on fire in the most exquisite way, and for every sense to be both too dull to feel anything, and too sharp to miss anything.

In that moment Amphy was all of himself and all of everything else, and he couldn't believe that he could feel like the sun and moon were contained within him just because of a kiss.

Yet that was precisely how he felt, being supported by Ardos, being kissed in public.

Somehow, he felt utterly complete.

Everything else melted into backdrop and scenery. That was often the case when Amphy was right in front of him, but this was different. It was like holding — not the universe, but the concept of Everything in his arms. Ardos' everything, in any case.

His lips burned when they kissed his, and he thought he could feel every hot, wet motion and taste the pleasant lingering cotton candy in Amphy's mouth. Cotton candy, he filed into the back of his mind, sorting it into a new favorite, something to crave when the skies were gray, right up there with the aptly named "Kisses."

Normally, Ardos was the sort of man that worked on a single task with the utmost determination, and it didn't change when it came to this, but there was a brief moment of pleasant surprise when his tongue met Amphy's and Ardos let out a surprised muffled noise which could've been misconstrued as something negative if he didn't go back to suck on his tongue specifically, shivering when the metallic balls met.

Today was just full of pleasant surprises.

When their lips parted, Ardos took a few moments to catch his breath and, in a sense, enjoy the view — Amphy's swollen red lips, how disheveled he looked. He was hardly inconsiderate, though, and immediately pulled Amphy up by the hand and moved him closer by the waist, an unpracticed smile playing across his features.

"I'm sorry," he said with a happy grin that indicated that he wasn't sorry at all. "I was —" He cleared his throat, a bit pleased that he could still taste Amphy. "— Well, I was planning on asking for permission first. This sort of thing is, um..." He rubbed the back of his neck. "I hope that was all right."

For a moment, the thought crossed Amphy's mind that someone voyeuristic might be looking over at them at that very moment and see Ardos dipping him and kissing him so pleasurably deeply that it almost felt like he was being inhaled on a physical level, but the moment where Amphy actually cared about such things passed quickly and he was back to keening against Ardos, his fingers stroking his--well, Ardos was definitely his date now, wasn't he?--shaved head, fingertips idly finding the longer tufts of hair atop his head as faint tastes of cotton and familiar metal spread on his tongue.

When the drow's tongue found his, for a moment the faun was worried. Ardos liked to fill his face with metal, but that didn't mean he enjoyed sucking on it. Well, that's what he thought for a brief moment before Ardos sucked on his tongue so hard that the closest approximation one could make to a moan while one's mouth was occupied with sucking face rippled out of him in a rumbling wave.

It felt like ages and also like literal seconds when their lips parted and Amphy looked up at his date with lips kissed red and a hard blush, the newly discovered tongue piercing glinting softly in the afternoon sunlight. His hat was noticeably askew, and in that moment he wondered if Ardos was thankful for his darker skin tone which meant that his blushing was a bit more secret. But the heat rolling off his skin gave it away anyway, so Amphy wasn't too upset.

He experienced vertigo for a second when he was pulled into standing and brought closer. Amphios wrapped his arms around Ardos' waist under his jacket, pressing his cheek against his shoulder and sighed. This was like a scene from a rom com and despite the cheesiness he was loving ever nanosecond of it.

"That was great," he said bluntly, nuzzling his cheek against Ardos neck. "I don't suppose we would be able to do that s'more, huh?"

As confident as he was when it came to physical contact, it still remained difficult for him to process that someone as wonderful, as magnificent, as unearthly ethereal a creature as Amphy could ever look and feel half as fondly as he did for him. All thoughts left him. He couldn't respond. He pulled him into a tight hug as if he was the most precious thing in the world, half wanting to cry, mostly grateful for whoever allowed this all. He didn't deserve him, but god, he wanted him. So much. More than anything anyone could want in the entire world. Ardos was not a selfish creature, but he was in this, and if inadequacy was ever his biggest problem, then he'd endure any pain and work everyday to the bone.

For him. All for him. Anything Amphy could ever want, from the mundane to the extreme, the sun, the moon and all the stars in the sky, Ardos was willing to give if it meant he could be around him, and hold him like this.

Was this what it was like? Reciprocation? Affection given, instead of just taken?

It was so bright.

Funny. He was trying to his best not to cry, but his eyes had been glossy anyway. It was like entire universes collapsed and burst into fireworks inside his chest, heartbeat deafening, knees weak, head so dizzy and so blindingly and colorfully in love he couldn't even think. He pressed a kissed to his beloved's head and said, voice croaking but the most sincere and invested he'd ever been his entire life, "Anything you want. Anything. I'm yours."

Amphy looked at Ardos and wondered if he'd said the wrong thing. It was obvious to most that he held a lot of affection for the drow, that he wanted to hug him and kiss his face, hold hands and eat sweet things together like couples did in those ungodly romance movies he watched just because. Not because he liked to imagine himself in those situations.

Nope. Definitely not. That was sad.

Suddenly the faun was gathered up into a tight hug, pressed against the solid planes of muscle and finding it comforting. He let himself be kissed and basked in the feeling that warmed him from the inside out, a swelling, bubbly feeling that scrambled his thoughts until he only felt sweetness and warmth in the form of forehead kisses and promises.

He got onto his tiptoes and kissed Ardos again, smiling. "I'm yours too, okay?" He said softly, dropping down to the flat of his feet to more comfortably nuzzle into his.... his boyfriends neck.

It felt warm, and it had nothing to do with the weather.
