Sitting just off the ice, tying up the laces of his pink ice-skates, Tristin gazed around the cold lake area. His white hair matched the powdered snow that dusted lightly across the grass, tied up in a high pony-tail. It was cold, yes; something he did not enjoy, but he still liked winter, which meant he just had to deal with it.

Wobbling slightly, he stood up; throwing his boots under the bench he had been sitting on. Cautiously, yet eagerly hobbling down to the lake where people skated, throwing snowballs and doing figure-eights. It had been a while since he had last skated, the boy was determined not to make a fool of himself and confidently stepped onto the ice. The first few strides were uneasy, and then he got a handle on things and was soon skating along the ice just as well as anyone else there. His cheeks and nose were blushed with pink from the chill, even his ears. This dragon would spend time later, warming up next to his fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate.

But he felt lonely amongst the people, whom all had friends, or partners to frolic around with. What was he to do but skate idly along for what, an hour? Join a snowball fight? Bug a random person to death? His skating halted for a moment, and he stared down at the ice below him. With so many people around right now, shouldn't the ice be breaking or something? He would dread something like that, falling into chilled water as the ice broke underneath. He duck his skate into the frozen surface for a moment, pursing his lips before continuing to skate around the outer edge of the frozen lake, slowly.

Ania had decided to pack herself up and go to the lake. There was supposed to be lots of people ice skating and doing fun winter-y things today. In her bag she carried matte black ice skates, with an extra hat and scarf just in case. Tying her hair up in a knot to reduce the risk of tangles later, Ania was ready for today !

She had not ice skated very often, and was a bit nervous putting her ice skates on. Slowly scooting out to where ice met snow, she confidently placed a foot out. Her other foot soon followed, and her body was frozen, slowly drifting away from the safety of the snow bank. Lifting her arms straight out, she managed to bring her legs back closer together and regain something of her centre of gravity. Looking around at the others, she caught the gist of how skating was properly done. Mimicking their actions, she moved slowly across the ice, with a triumphant grin.

As she slid across the ice, Ania realised that she had not understood how to stop. None of the others appeared to want to stop either. Perhaps if she slowed down enough, she could latch onto someone and make them help her stop. Yes, this is a good plan.
Looking for her target, the girl drifted and slowed gradually. As she came up on the back of a person in a grey coat, her arms reached out to try to cling to their person. "I'm sorry! I never learned how to stop."

(( Yay lateness))

Cold weather would usually have him sitting by the fireplace in his cottage apartment, but today he did not want to do that. Today he was ice skating. Now, he probably had to be careful because bruises on his skin would be like red on white, they would be very noticeable so he had to try not to fall or anything. His nose was cold as he idly skated around, so he cupped his hands over his mouth to warm up. Slowly, he edged inwards from the edges of the frozen lake, enjoying himself some.

As he humbly skated away, he did not notice the girl awkwardly coming onto the ice, nor did he notice her getting closer to him. Actually, it wasn't until he felt something tugging on him did he notice her, and he was surprised, at that. He almost freaked out and fell on the ice, but managed only to sway around a bit before looking over his shoulder with wide eyes. He then quickly calmed down upon hearing that it was just because the person couldn't stop, before raising a delicate white eyebrow " Why'd you decide to skate if you don't know how to stop?" he asked her" You just bend your knees and turn your feet" He parted himself from her, skating forwards for a moment and then stopping, showing her how to do it " See?"

Ania's eyes grew wide, hoping that this person wasn't mad at her for using them as a speed bump. "I thought I would be able to figure it out!" She didn't expect skating to be so difficult, and was wholly frustrated with this process. Trying to mimick the person, Ania wiggled a bit, making her body drift across the ice once more. Turning in her feet like she was shown, Ania forgot to bend her knees, and toppled forward. Catching herself with her hands, she slowly bundled herself back on her feet to try again.

"This is so haaard. I don't like this anymore." Pouting, Ania stood frozen, not wanting to cause herself to crash anymore. She was quite ready to tear off her skates and give up, but her stubborn will held out. She wasn't aspiring to be a famous ice skater, but she at least wanted to be able to say that she could do it. Taking a deep breath, Ania stood straighter, taking a second to glance uncertainly at the stranger. "Show me again?"

(( Guess who's replying finallyyy))

" Well I don't think you quite did" The boy pointed out, hiding an amused smile. He attempted to show the apparent newbie at how to stop on the ice, but her attempt at copying him turned out to be a bit of a failed attempt. He let out a small sigh. Having to teach someone how to skate was not the first idea he had when he thought about how he wanted something to do. Pursing his lips, the white haired stick on stilts remarked " Do you want to give up after only one try?"

He let her regain her composure before simply nodding, skating a few steps before bending his knees, keeping them apart , leaning to the side and digging weight into the ice, turning slightly; slowing to a stop and then looking over at the girl " see? There"
