Marina Bellamy
Marina was officially running for Student Council president.
Arriving to the decision wasn't difficult. When the campaigns were announced, Marina was at the top of her social circles' list to become President. She called her parents in California about the situation, and her dad was absolutely thrilled his princess was going into politics. He mailed her a special credit card, a new outfit, a hundred balloons, a megaphone, stickers, flyers and pins saying "Bellamy 2015."
That day, Marina strutted into the cafeteria at lunch with her cheerleading uniform and a megaphone. A table was immediately cleared out and she climbed it, making sure everyone got a look of the beautiful Captain of the Cheerleader team.
"Attention, losers," she said through the megaphone. "Our lord and Saviour Katy Perry had a Teenage Dream and so do I, Marina Bellamy, Sophomore and Captain of the Cheer Squad. My Teenage Dream is to become your next Starlight Academy Student Council President. As president, I will focus on the important issues: A salon and hair parlor here in the campus. Free manicures. Pizza everyday in the cafeteria, and an actual live soda fountain everyone can use."
Everyone cheered.
Now here was the tricky part.
She also had a lot of actual, useful platforms in mind, but it was difficult to put them in a way that would interest people. Here goes. "Youth leadership programs. Accessible counselors. A more well-researched meal plan for non-humans. A state of the art, next generation archiving system for the library. And, you know, all that boring stuff. Vote smart. Vote cool. Vote Bellamy for your Next Starlight Academy Student Council President!"
She crouched down to hand someone her megaphone and replace it with her pom-poms. She readied herself for the cheer she wrote last night. "Who's the leader with your int'rests in mind? Vote, vote, vote, Bellamy~ Who's the leader pushing the opposition behind? Vote, vote, vote, Bellamy~" She shook her pompoms and threw them in the air. "Vote!"
The cafeteria had an uproar of cheers.
She jumped down, flipping her hair. Her lackeys started giving passersby buttons of Bellamy 2015. Marina, meanwhile, made her way through the crowd, picked up a tray and fell in line to get food.
