Enter the dragon

Pin'us was tired. He'd got... lost trying to find his way to the school. When he'd seen an open courtyard he'd folded his wings back and swooped down bringing himself to a smooth landing. He was hoping he'd not get anyone screaming 'dragon', he wasn't even that large by dragon standards. But still, he was used to the screams even as he wished they wouldn't happen. He was already focusing on retaking his more human form... at least until he remembered the minor problem. He'd be lacking clothes in that form and he'd lost his luggage. This.... could be awkward.

Slowly he lowered his wings and head trying to make himself seem as much of an unscary dragon as possible rumbling slightly again, admittedly a very soft gentle rumble but never the less. He was trying to make himself look as unintimidating and friendly as possible. He gave a gentle huff looking around tilting his head as he was sure he heard footsteps approaching huffing faintly.

((I hope no one minds that I make up words ^.^;;; ))

Look. Spirit said, sitting at the edge of the courtyard, dozing off as William played tag-or at least something similar to tag- with Warrior.

Seems we have a new student coming. Warrior said, letting go of the struggling William. The boy glared at his human looking creature before standing up and taking a look at whatever they were interested in.

That's no student, man. he said smiling. That is a dragon. Damn cool. He stood up, following the dragon with his eyes as he landed, before running up to him, and approaching him. Yo.

Pin'us turned his head more to let himself take the approaching individuals in almost calmly. He gave a soft sound that could be taken as a greeting as he looked over at him. Slowly he was trying to reach out and connect with them. There was no way that he could manage to speak in this form, but he didn't particularly want to shift human where he could speak.

Slowly he stretched his wings out again pondering this situation. He couldn't ask for clothes as he didn't know if any of them had any slight telepathic abilities that would let him in. He couldn't turn human where he could ask because he... would be lacking clothes. Slowly though he lowered his head to sniff at the figures, curiously.

He didn't want to scare them. That was the last thing on his mind. He wanted to know who they were, and to work out how to speak with them. It was awkward, especially as he was focusing on taking them in, blue eyes glimmering as he looked almost intensely. Not due to hunger, just due to interest and trying to work it all out.

William felt something like a light feather touch within his mind, the feeling making him want to giggle as if someone was tickling him. He restrained himself, though, and frowned instead.

He doesn't seem to be able to talk in that form. Spirit said, as he walked up to them, sniffing the air, which was full of the unusual smell of a dragon. It does not surprise me. Lizards are generally not build to be able to talk.

He's not a lizard, Spirit. William frowned at his wolf creature. He is a dragon. And it is damn cool.

The wolf raised an eyebrow at him. How do you even know it's a he?

I... the boy started. It doesn't matter. he turned his back at the wolf who kept snickering behind him, and looked at the dragon again.

Ok, so you can't talk right now. he said, thinking. Is there anything we can help you with? I'm William by the way. I'm the student here.

Pin'us gave a second rumble almost trying to reach and attempting to carefully nip and pull at the clothing worn. He gave another rumble gently as he tried to tug again. He was trying desperately to not hurt the person. He glanced at him head tilting as he shifted again uncomfortably.

He wanted to get human, just... lacking clothes. No. Lets not do that. Slowly he reached out mentally again, trying to find a connection 'can you hear me?' he asked mentally. He was hoping that this would work. It was the only way he had left of talking as he shifted once more. It was almost an uncomfortable shifting by now. He wanted to be human. He wanted to speak.

Again, William felt something faintly brushing against his mind, but he could not grasp it. It only made him frown. However, the other gesture was quite clear.

Clothes? he asked, raising an eyebrow. You need clothes? That should be right. And it made sense actually. The dragon didn't seem to have any on him, and there was no way that the clothes he was in before could survive the shift. This knowledge being the courtesy of spending too much time with your shifter teacher, he sighed, shaking his head slightly, before turning around to Warrior. Can you go get some? You are faster than me.

Pin'us rumbled nodding his head at the question as to if he needed clothes. He was quite happy to sit back on his haunches as he watched around waiting. He was no longer quite as focused on trying to be unintimidating, or gentle. He was just wanting clothes, almost anxious for them.

Even if they wouldn't be his own clothes, it would work. At least for the time being. He couldn't help the shifting though even standing to his feet and circling, or at least trying to, remembering his company before he got too close to hitting them with his tail, giving an apologetic noise.

Warrior came back carrying some of the William's shirts a few minutes later, just in time to pull William away from almost incoming tail.

Ouch, Warrior, that hurt. William complained, rubbing his ribs. I'm fine, no need to pull me in two. The creature simply gave him a look which made him shut up that instant, looking guilty as he did so. Uh, so, here. you can have these. he said, offering the dragon the clothes Warrior was carrying. So feel free to shift, no need to feel shy.

Pin'us carefully took the offered clothing before equally as carefully he shuffled around careful to keep his back to them as he focused on taking his humanoid form. It was with even more focus and concentration, and hard work, that he coaxed the wings that he normally kept to hide themselves. It generally made for a more painful transformation but still. The only thing he couldn't hide was the long tail.

Slowly he dragged the clothing offered on checking everything that needed to be covered was before he turned around.

"Sorry.... about that," he muttered sheepishly. "I.... its hard to make sure your own luggage is secured.... I'm uh Pin'us.... thank you...."

No worries. William smiled brightly if a little, beaming with self confidence even when he wasn't trying to be arrogant. That kinda happens a lot around here. Not to me, but I know people who have to hide clothes all around the school just in case. He laughed again, offering his hand. Glad to meat you, Pin'us. Like I said, I'm William. I'm a student here. These two are Spirit he said, pointing to the the big, wolf like creature beside him, and Warrior. The silver haired man stayed silent as he was introduced. By the way, that was one damn cool entrance.
