Is that all? William asked, getting up to the edge of the roof. Seems easy enough.
Turning his back to the edge, he took a few steps back, until he was standing at the very end of the stone fence. His hands in his pockets, he carefully followed Warrior with his eyes as the creature gathered the stones from the ground. He found ten, but could not find more, which meant William would first have to catch them, and throw them back, before they could be lost by falling over the edge.
William took a defencive stanze, knowing that Warrior wasn't going to go easy on him, and, truly, just as he did, a first stone flew to his upper left side, which was one of his weakest points, almost a blind spot. He caught it, though, but with his body, which probably didn't count. And just as he was shifting his shoulder so the stone could fall in his hand, the second rock flew, aiming for his head. William shifted again, the stone hitting his other shoulder, but still not falling over the edge.
He let out a deep growl of frustration before throwing both stones back to Warrior and getting ready for the next round. This time Warrior threw three stones at the same time, this time aiming for the William's strongest spots, as he tried to catch him off guard. It didn't work, though, as, as Warrior knew which areas William was weak at, William also knew the way Warrior's thinking worked. By the end of the test, William caught six stones and was hit by four.
Fuck, that hurt. he said, breathing heavily, taking a hand up to his cheek and finding a small amount of blood. Did you have to throw it that hard?
Yes. Warrior said. You do not want the man to think you are cheating, right? Raising an eyebrow, he started throwing stones again. This time, it went much better as William had a balance of a stone tower and moved like an eel.
Well, this is no fun. Spirit said, tapping his tail on the ground. You're never gonna hit him if he keeps moving like that. He's too... Slippery. the wolf snapped his teeth at the boy, hoping that the boy would lose his cool and let one of the stones hit him. Instead, William jumped over his head, avoiding the last stone, as well as the edge of the roof. He started to fall, face down to the ground.
Warriooor!
