'I woman you might be', he said, 'inside.', he chuckled, knowing that that was going to earn him some bitter words. 'On the outside, you look like a little more than a high school girl. Thus, I said, and I shall say it again, you looked cute.' He gave her his most charming smile, wide, and warm on the outside, while his eyes shined with mischief. His body relaxed into the wall, his hand holding Spirit close, enjoying the warm of both him, and Savannah sitting so close. He hasn't felt this good in ages.

'I know. I'm just warning you to be careful.', he said, closing his suddenly heavy eyes. Spirit's idea of sleeping the day away suddenly seemed so good. 'You wouldn't want to disappear into thin air, right? I know I wouldn't, not before I hear that story at least. It sounds good, like a Joan of Arc, or something. We just learned about that from history... But I bet yours is more interesting. After all, you were there, weren't you? Unlike my history book. I serisously think that the man who wrote it has never been anywhere further than his front door.'

Oh he had nerve, it was like an argument. It was a fun argument however, neither of them wish ill intent for the other. Savannah pierced her eyes at him. "Looked cute?" She sneered. "Fool." Her head spun away from him, the pony tail flicker over her shoulder and sat across her chest. A smile grin could be seen on Savannah's face, only that she had the back of her head facing William.

There he went, being sensitive and sincere again. She wanted to push him over, declare her dominance and proudly stand above him. Maybe one day she might. "Fret not William, I won't vanish and nor will you." She said glancing at him and pointing a finger into his chest.

Savannah then clasped her hands together. Impressed? Possibly? He picked up on her clues very quickly, or it was a blind guess. "Yes, the French farmer girl." She perked with a gleeful face. Her tails unfolded themselves from her lap and began to brush along the floor behind her. Oh how right he was!

"I wasn't there when she began her legacy. I was a couple months late." Savannah began, her clasped hands fell into her own lap. "I followed the events that occurred, she was no warrior. Never fought a battle herself. It looked silly as she waddled around in suits of steel the humans used." She laughed at the memory of it, her body shaking from amusement.

She continued. "What she did become was what the humans call a saint, never once did she slay a man. Even after they fought amongst each other, the farmer girl would pray for dead souls, both ally and enemy." Savannah found it almost loathsome. To gaze upon your enemy, particularly in a war run by men, fought by men. This enemy was a woman, she would get on her knees and moan for you as you would breathe your last breath.

"I don't believe she was the reason the war turned into the French's favour, but that farmer girl certainly played a role. It was like the men would be inspired that a woman would suit herself up and carry a sword upon a horse and then march with them." Her head turned up high, her eyes closed. It was times like this she would express her pride as a wise fox. "Tis was a shame when after the war she was burned at the stake after being charged of many absurd allegations. Never got to see it happen for myself, I wandered away once it was over." Savannah finished. She took a few deep breaths, it's been a while since she's spilled out so many words in so little time.

Savannah cast her view back to William with a smug grin. "But she wasn't not the most exciting human during my time." She stated clearly and then bared a toothy smile.

'I heard that before.', he snickered half-heartedly, and than giving a big, sleepy yawn to the world, his eyes still closed, and body relaxed into the wall. 'Doesn't mean I wasn't right though.', he smirked, imagining her face. Oh, teasing her was so much fun that he didn't mind one bit that he was so mercilessly teased back. Hell, he could even say it made it so much better.

He listened to her voice, so strong, so proud of the fact that she was there, enthusiastic, enthralled, so soft that it lulled him right into the hands of sleep where he could see a proud women riding on her horse right into the hands of the enemy waiting across the sea, feeling the fire burn against his skin, and he could smell war, and blood, and all those things Savannah talked about. It was such a vivid dream for something that lasted only a few seconds before he was woken up by the Spirit's worried yelp.

'What was that for, you idiot?!', he yelled, suddenly awake again. 'I thought you were in trouble.', the wolf muttered, half asleep himself. 'Why?!', William sighed, angry, yet still holding his head in his lap. 'Smelled blood.', Spirit muttered again, trying to wake up. William sighed. 'No blood here, Spirit. Go back to sleep.' 'k. G'd night.', the creature gave one more toothy yawn before falling asleep again. William turned towards Savannah.

'Sorry about that.', he said quetly, rubbing his eyes. 'Well, at least I'm awake again.' He struggled to get into a more comfortable position, before answering again.

'I guess I understand. Why she was so important to them, I mean. People need something to believe in at the times of war, and she lead them. Like a simbol. Humans are like that.'

Savannah herself was too lost into her own words that she failed to notice Spirit's sudden out burst. She had backed away from William in surprise, the wolf and boy began their exchange of words. It almost looked like a comedy sketch. She was prepared to snicker but couldn't when William admitted to dosing off. Now the question was, was he entranced or bored of her telling?

It was evident that he had been paying attention, lucky for him. Savannah flicked a lock of hair out of her face. "It is one of the many reasons why they are where they are now." She reasoned. She peaked in closer to Williams face again, somewhat observing him. "But you are also human too no? And Spirit is your symbol?" She questioned.

'I am no human now, not anymore.' he said softly. 'Not since I discovered my powers. Or, rather, not since others discovered them.' He shifted, uncomfortably, then something in his eyes hardened, and he smiled. 'I'm Summoner. It means that somewhere inside my soul there ar these...creature... that sleep and feed on my power, until I'm ready to summon them to help me. Spirit is one of them, however, due to some stuff that happened to me, he's been here so long that he has developed a personality of his own. So, no, I'm no human, not anymore, since others don't see me as such.' He sighed, yet again. He had come to terms with that idea some time ago, yet, it was still strange thinking about it every time the problem came up. He felt pride at what he was, as he was strong, and different, and he held to that, yet it was still sad having to say 'I'm no human anymore'. In the end, he had been one for so long. But not anymore.

((ooc-sorry it's so short :/))

"Hmm." Was her response. Seemingly unimpressed with William's answer. Savannah nudged into him and tutted, she shook her head as well. "But you were human to begin right? Even now you are still human, you have their blood, you talk like them, you walk like them. And you also feel like them." She told him with an annoyed tone. Savannah nudged William again, a little more forceful this time.

"I may look like a human but I am not, for I am a fox by birth. I merely adopted the vessel of a human to disguise myself and walk amongst them." She spoke spitefully holding a hand to her chest and raised her head. She held that position for a moment longer before she crawled closer to William.

"Fool." She blankly said in his face.

'Yeah, well, it isn't like I had much say in the matter.' he shrugged, looking her in the eyes. 'You should know, just as everyone else here knows. The minute they set their eyes on you, and your power, you're human no more. You are labeled as monster-or, as they try to hide it nowadays, a 'gifted'-and they don't look at you the same anymore, not even you're own parents. For them, you aren't a human anymore, and it doesn't matter that you're their blood and bone, let alone the soul and other stuff that can't be seen.' He shrugged his shoulders yet again, feeling skin burn from the fraction of being run against the rough wall, but he didn't care at all. 'So, why should I try and hold to something like that when it doesn't even matter anymore?'

He looked her straight in the eyes once again, something hard hidden there, a resolve made of steal that not even all the positive changes in his life could break. 'Effort is useless.', he said, a lesson learned in his childhood learned a bit too well to discard now. 'Effort is not going to change anything.', he continued speaking with a grimm tone of voice. 'No amount of it shall be enough to convince them otherwise. They'll just continue to think what they think. I decided to just except it a long time ago. So I did.'

Savannah silently sighed. She wasn't getting the responses she want and because of that she had a grim expression. Her ears had curled down and shoulders slumped. It was becoming somewhat difficult to tolerate William now. "Fool." She said bluntly. There were things she could tell him, she could lecture him about her experiences. When discovered many would call her a demon, a spawn of the devil and even a succubus at times. Torches, spears and arrows would be used to slay her. It didn't happen often, but when it did she had to leave the lands for many years before returning. After those years had passed, those who previously saw her would have passed away so there was no trouble like before.

But she wouldn't bring herself to tell him, not now at least. "You still sulk like a Human. Even with those words you won't trick me jester." She retorted, rasping at William. It was an attempt to brighten the mood. A toothy grin was even used. Savannah light leaned onto William, resting the side of her head on his shoulder.

"You are a fool, and infectious one too. Because I feel you have made me a fool also." She murmured. When the atmosphere of her surroundings is low, she too also feels low. It also annoyed her to no end, especially when earlier they couldn't stop the happy banter between one another.

'Sorry.', he said, shifting, so her head wasn't resting on his sharp shoulder, but rather at the hollow of his neck. 'I didn't mean to be a broad. Besides, you started it!', he added, the mood brightening now that they weren't talking about the classification of species anymore.

There was silence again, but it only laster for a few seconds, just enough for him to calm his head, and his arm to start to feel heavy, pressed between the wall and Savannahs back. Careful not to do anything that would seem inappropriate, he moved his hand so it would rest on the other side of her.

'Sorry.', he said again. 'I hope you don't mind. It was starting to grow numb.' Spirit shifted in his lap again, asking from William to pet him even in his sleep, and he did. He wondered if he could do the same to Savannah's ears yet again, and still stay alive now that she was this close to him.

"And I finish what I start." She pouted. This was also a thing of hers, never to start something and give up on it. Whether it be a conversation, a task she sets for herself, one given by others providing she accepts it and eating food. Which reminded her she has not finished her salad. She reached an arm out barely grabbing her tray. Just as she began to tuck in she felt something move behind her. Savannah eyed up to William quickly.

He explained himself. "I suppose I won't mind this one time." She answered in between small mouthfuls of her food. It was becoming quite comfortable resting against the boy, Spirit probably thought the same thing to. First day into her new life and already she's met a boy and his companion, visited the cafeteria and now causing the same boy to skip a lesson. She wondered if she was becoming a bad inspiration? Savannah prodded William's leg to catch his attention.

"We can not do this again, this I mean you missing your class. I'll let it go this once." She informed him with a gentle nod of her head. Savannah wanted to have fun, that was what her life was built upon, but never at the expense of others. She would not bring her own self desires onto others nor would she want them to make sacrifices for her. All simply because time for her ticked very slowly therefore she is hardly ever in a rush for progress.

Her salad was done, she licked her lips as the tray was set down on the floor. Feeling content she shuffled herself into William a bit more, he was a rather good pillow.
