School cafeteria was as loud as always. Even from the other side of the hall, William could hear the loud noises and bits and pieces of the other student's everyday conversations. He let a small sight escape his lips, knowing that all that noise shall soon make his head spin, and he wasn't glad of it. However, he was hungry as well as Savannah, and, of course, never satisfied Spirit, so he didn't have much of a choice.

'Ladies first.', he said, opening the door for her, only to see Spirit practicly run into the room, wagging his tail, and singing 'Food, food, food,, food' in a small voice. He chuckled, then turned to Savannah. 'Well, aparently, that dosn't apply when Spirit is around. He first, everybody else second. Come on, you must be hungry.'

The change of environment as they approached the cafeteria caused Savannah to squint her eyes every now and then, the rise in volume made her ears flop down in a feeble attempt to block out any more oncoming sound waves. It was like William said, lunch time. There's no helping the crowd of student that come to fill their stomachs to continue on the day.

She looked to her newly met person from earlier, giving him a grin and a light curtsy. "Quite the gentleman I see." She laughed. Just as she was about to take her step into the cafeteria, Spirit, William's wolf companion had already dashed ahead. The fox girl was hardly annoyed, more over she lightly shook it off with a gentle sigh.

Her eyes rolled to William. "Hungry as I will be." She commented. The feet of the fox took some light steps into the large room. What she first saw was the masses of large rowed tables cluttered with student sitting at them and on top of them. Some were showing off their abilities with their hands at the table, all of course acting is if it was part of their daily life. Savannah was intrigued by it.

"How does one acquire the substance we call food and the other we call drink?" She asked throwing her head back at William as if he knew the answer to every question she'll give him. It was only for today, and maybe the next week or so till she got used to the ways of the school.

Quite the gentleman I see.

'As much as I'll ever be with that thing hanging around me for the rest of my life.', he laughed, pointing at Spirit who already joined the line of people waiting to be served. No body gave him a second though as they already got used to him some weeks ago. The first time he did it he maid the whole cafeteria fall into silence, up to the point when he turned around and spoke, asking them what's wrong. It seemed that even in the school full of misfits and people who could turn invisible and fly this could cause some panic. Who could blame them after all? They haven't been informed of a new arrival. After that, the kitchen staff always took notice to make a special share of food for him, putting it in a special bowl, so they didn't have to worry about the wolf eating them empty during the each and every meal (as that was what happened that very first day).

'Just follow Spirit.', he said, waving his hand. 'He already saved as a spot in the line.'

Savannah laughed with William, "Perhaps he brings out the best qualities in you?" She voiced rolling her eyes up in thought. Then her head turned to the side and glanced towards William mischievously. For some reason or another her mouth trembled as a hummed giggle came out. It was all without ill intent, she was just relished the moment.

Her head shot towards Spirit as William said, where one knows where food is, follow them. "A line we shall form." She happily spoke out loud. Normally one would just walk up and stand in line, but Savannah had other ideas. Her feet seemed to skip and dance their way over to where Spirit was, her whole self swayed left and right as she went. All with a smile on her face.

Things were looking great, that was until Savannah failed to catch sight of someone walking across her peripheral vision. At the last moment she tried to stop herself but ending up throwing her arms in front of her. There was a thump followed by a clash of cutlery, smashed bowels and a clatter of a tray on the floor. Nothing everything hit the floor, Savannah managed to catch a potato in her hands. By now several other students threw their attention towards the scene.

Savannah bit her lip furiously, her hands were shaking slightly. She had made herself jump from the accident, her ears were drooped to further add to the expression. "I, saved this for you." She said weakly in her shameful state.

The person she collided into was a male student, he didn't say anything but stare at the fox girl. His hand rose, then morphed into a spike of sorts. It then jabbed into the potato which Savannah quickly let go of. A gruff came from the student as he barged his way past her. She cast her head down and watch as he walked past several tables jabbing our pieces of people's lunch as he walked by.

The suspense was now beginning to build up in Savannah, she shook her head and took a step forward, as she did she felt her feet slid underneath. All of a sudden her foot went up and her back starting to fall down. She had slipped over water that was on the floor from the mess. "Ah! Savannah cried out. Knowing there was nothing she could do now to stop her fall.

At first, he laughed, softly, and as freely as he could manage, shaking his head. He still wasn't used to smiling in the open again, but her attitude was so lively and sparkly, that she seemed like a small child happy to be set free in the park for the rest of the day, and he just really couldn't help it. Making a mental note to ask her about her real age when a good oportunity arises, he followed behind her as she walked towards Spirit.

A dog-creature was now waiting in line patiently, as he had learned that anything else gets you kicked out of the cafeteria, fast, even if you have an inch long teeth. He turned around once or twice, just to see if they were coming, before moving one more step forward. Thus, there was nothing either of them could do when Savannah collided with that mountain of the boy.

William really couldn't understand how she failed to see him, however, he didn't think it was a best thing to ask right now. He still remembered his first-day embarrassment and thus knew that this was a matter best left alone. He shall pretend it has never happened until enough time has passed for it to became a joke. He could feel it will be a really good one, someday.

On the other hand, he really might want to stop her from falling. Engrossed in his own thoughts he didn't notice that she had slipped and was now losing her balance. Knowing that it was the karma's way of getting back on him for wondering how Savannah could have missed the damned football player, he reached forward, but it was too late. Spirit already caught her, losing his place in line.

'Nah, I don't think so. He's not that bad himself you see.'

She thought she had hit the ground, but the floor shouldn't feel like this right? It wasn't exactly hard either. Her head gazed around to observe her surroundings. Spirit had caught her. A sigh came from Savannah. With some careful adjustment she picked herself off Spirit and stood straight once more.

Her eyes narrowed slight and darted between William and Spirit. her knees bent down to sit more at level with Spirit. "Oh, but it seems that you are my hero just then. That's one point for you." She spoke with a slur. Savannah's arm came out to hug the fur of Spirit, her face cheek came to rest on the wolf's back. A wide grin was let out, her tails rose and stretched themselves to encase both her and Spirit.

"I guess I owe you dinner." She teased. Just as she finished she let go and stood herself up, her grin faded and resumed her usual expression.

As if she were dirtied by the event Savannah brushed her dress with her hands quickly. "Lets start again, without any accidents this time." She suggested as her feet began to tap their way to the bit longer queue.

"What do they have to serve here?" She asked with curiosity, her head shooting back behind her to William.

A wave of jealousy run trough William as he watched Savannah hug Spirit. There was no reason for it, yet he felt it so strong, he frowned, almost telling her to stop. However, before he could do so, she was already up, and the unusual feeling was gone. He frowned even more. Now he wasn't even sure it was the jealousy he felt anymore. Spirit leaned into his hand as he raised it to pet him, buring it deep into his fur, and feeling calm and comfortable again. 'Was it really jealousy?', he asked himself, joining Savannah in the line. It felt like it, yet it did not. Was it normal, because Spirit was his summon creature? He didn't know. No body ever really dared touch Spirit before...

'Don't worry about it.', he said, finally speaking again, in response to her statement. 'It happens. As for they serve, about anything really. We'll see what's on the menu today when the line moves a bit forward.'

"Ah. She mused crossing her arms. "I'll try to be more careful next time, but who knows maybe I'll trip down the stairs or something." She spoke as if oblivious. Then her head shook. "On accident of course, it's not I'd intentional put myself in harms way." Savannah playfully muttered.

The queue soon edged it's way forward, Savannah in turn slow stepped and swayed her way in line. The smell of food filled her nose with each step, she licked her lips out of habit. In a attempt to get a view she went up on tip toes, but the sea of heads ahead of her blocked her view of what was on display. A audible pout was heard. "I do pray for some lamb, perhaps salmon?"

It wasn't too much longer till they had arrived for their order. Savannah glanced at what was on display, sadly nothing she had mentioned. "Oh, well I guess a seafood salad would suffice." She figured. Her order was taken to be prepared shortly.

She silently threw a look towards William to see what he would order.

'As I said, don't worry.', he brushed off her words with a small smile. 'I am aware that some people are naturally clumsy.', he teased, comfortable again with himself, as his hand buried itself deep into the Spirit's fur. The creature paid it no mind, his mind filled with prospect of food and nothing more.

'They had lamb yesterday.', William said after she had her order. 'Sorry you missed it. I'll have Spirit's share.', he said to the lady working on orders and she informed him that it was already being prepared. 'And a chicken sandwich then, with Caesar salad and some drinks.'

He was easy forgiving that boy she guessed. Though hopefully not all the time, she wouldn't want to abuse that attribute of him. Though his second comment hit a mark. Savannah feigned a hurt impression. "Are you implying I am a clutz?" She huffed, sticking her nose up at William. Oh this was too much fun for her, William was good company thus far.

Savannah brought her head down, now she wished she came a day early to the academy. Was he teasing her still? She eyed him suspiciously. A smile or laughter didn't follow, he might be genuine about it. "Tis a shame, but this is what it shall be." She commented.

As William ordered, her left ear twitched. Chicken? That just that word alone was quite a attentive word. Was there a more animal side to her from being a fox spirit? Who knows. Not a moment later her meal was delivered on a tray. Savannah took hold on it and backed away from the counter. Just as she turned to face towards the middle of the room she noticed something. "There aren't many places to sit, guess we were a little late. Woops." She said, assuming the blame for their delay.
