The soft drone of the student body milling around in the lounge did little to disguise the pathetic pick up lines one male was using. And when we say pathetic, we mean PATHETIC! Pick up lines that were so horrific, it really was a wonder that he hadn't been slapped yet.
Mike was the proud owner of these pick up lines, and would use them on any girl who dared walk by, much to the morification of Alana who had joined him on his hunt for a girl. The wheelchair he sat in must have been working it's magic, girls tried not to hurt his feelings when they got a glimpse of it. But today it wasn't working all that well.
"No luck so far." he sighed, leaning back in his chair and running his hands along the wheels. "It seems that I won't be getting a date for this evening. You're a terrible good luck charm." He shot a glance at Alana who glared back at him, angry that she had been dragged into this quest.
"Couldn't you have gotten a boy to come along with you? He'd probably be better suited at this then I am." Alana complained. She loved Mike but he could be annoying at times. She absolutely hated how he dragged her along on these 'girl safaries'. "My friendship towards you can only go so far."
In response Mike waved her complaint away, turning towards another girl who had walked past his wheelchair. Pitching his lines was a favourite activity, and Alana must enjoy being able to spend quality time with a friend as magnifice as himself. At least, that's what Mike thought.
