Well then that gaze woke Gaige right up and he stared back with a little concern but also a little bit of interest. He had never meet anyone like R before and he was interested to see where this would lead."Others? Ya know people at this time usually keep to them selfs.... errr what makes ya think that someone would come out and do something..... and what would they even do ehh" he said with a chuckle. Why was this girl acting so odd, maybe it was just normal on this island he thought to him self, that had to be it.

Everyone he had meet on the island was pretty nice thus far so he was kind of confused to hear about how their were bad people, but hey there is good and bad in everything right."Ehh..... i think ill be fine.... i haven't been on my own before but i know what i am capable of and i know that ill be fine". Something he couldn't refuse? What did she mean by that of course he could refuse."Well err..... its fine miss R it really is. I think I'm just going to have to say no to your offer but uhh thats fine with me if you stick around a while longer".

She looked wide awake but really restless at the same time and he decided to do the most polite thing he could think of for her, it was only in his nature to."You do look a tad bit tired R.... errr if you wanna stay here you can sleep in my bed and i can just go on the floor or something, only if ya want".

She wasn't sure what to do. Half of her mind seemed to scream "Abort, Abort Mission!" The other half was hopelessly begging her to stay. Gaige's questions only drilled deeper into her brain. Usually it wasn't this easy to sneak into dorms?! And usually if someone even set foot into the rooms, eventually dorm monitors - or even dorm residents - would be on your ass quicker than flies on shit. But.... Well....
She didn't have a plan, she realized.
If she stayed, surely she could stay quiet enough that no one would notice she was there... In theory. Surely someone would notice she was gone form her now-unoccupied dorm. And then there would be trouble.
If she went... No. She couldn't go. That would be like starting back at square one. Starting back at the dingy little room that trapped her with all those memories... No. She wasn't going back to that room, not right now. She was so close... So agonizingly close! R couldn't give it away now.
All of this... Hidden behind that same frozen expression she'd worn before.
She sighed, making it as casual as possible as Gaige's questions finally sunk in.
No, hm? Well. Shame. Because she was going to do that anyways. Yes, he was strong (at least, if she'd been observing correctly). Yes he was powerful. But she couldn't chance having another Elias incident. This time, she was laying low...
Speaking of laying. Gaige's offer occurred to her.
"No, no. It's fine. I'll stay here." She tapped the floor with a hand, the bracelet on her wrist suddenly prominent. "Watch over you..." she muttered under her breath, with yet another smile, tinted yet again with the underlying impulsiveness from earlier.

It seemed as if she was staring off into space thinking about something. Gaige tilted his head and wondered to him self what in the world she could be thinking about. It was a simple question and it was just him and her in a single dorm room, which normally would be fine but something about her told him that there was more then just staying in his dorm. But he didn't want to ask because asking would be the rude thing to do and Gaige couldn't break his oh so delicate moral code, that would be the unjust thing to do in his mind.

He squinted at her for a brief moment as she said she would quote on watch over him. This was kind of unsettling to him, why in the world would she want to just stay and watch over him, she did look very tired to him and he was sort of worried that he would have to wake up a passed out girl in the morning."Errr... ya don't have to i suggest just sleepin, i mean sleep is very good for ya miss".

In reality, Gaige needn't have worried - R usually never slept for more than an hour, and if she did, she was always gone early. "I'll be fine, relax." A grin. "I'm always gone early, so you don't need to worry." In all honesty, she was amazed that he hadn't interrogated her yet - the air was thick with suspicion, and her expression, while she tried to hide it, still carried the same derangement as ever. She'd come here on impulse, that was for sure. Yes, she had no plan. And she was damn near screwed. Ahem."Speaking of which... It was rude of me to come through the window. Dreadful etiquette, I know. You look like you need sleep." R flashed what she thought was a reassuring smile - it just looked creepy from this angle.

Now he was questioning her motives, was she really just going to sit there and watch him sleep all night long? No, this couldn't be the only reason there had to be something else that she wasn't telling him. But it would be rather rude to question her, he thought to himself. But he wanted to question her and thought that it might be fine considering she had gotten into his dorm room uninvited.

"Say..... Are you just going to sit there and watch me sleep? I'd hate to err ask but uhh is that all yer planin to do miss? Sorry i just find it highly unlikely that you would only come here to get a nail file fixed and to umm... watch me sleep".

And here it was. The kicker. R thought quickly, her mind racing a million thoughts per second. Go? Stay? Fight? Play? Talk? She couldn't place much of her thoughts.
Eventually, after a minute of deliberating, she came up with a story - at least, a half-truth. R knew the best lies were riddled with small truths. "Well. Aren't you just rude. Then again, I would know. Either way. I saw one of those stupid squirrels get into your window, and thought, how did they get in? So I looked into it." That part was false, but she told it like the truth - in the most casual of tones, with a hint... A twinge. Something. It was something wrong... Wrong with her story. Speaking of which -
"I decided to check your lock, and poof. It snapped right off. You really should get stronger locks on the windows by the way. Worried that an intruder might have had an easy way in to hurt, like I got in easily, I decided to check on you. But - I'm talking too much. The moral is - I worried, for you. And I'm going to keep worrying, and keep watch. Don't you get it, Gaige?"
Something about her voice, her tone - all of it. It was unsettling, to say the least. Like something was majorly off. And this fact, especially at the end of her little spiel... It made it truly hard to believe, even though R was an excellent liar. If Gaige had been paying attention, he would have noticed the many plot holes in her story. But she tried her best to keep them hidden, instead plastering a smile on her face. What was supposed to be a gentle smile seemed contorted, like it wasn't supposed to be there.
"Go on... Sleep."
