"Thada bout does it" Gaige said as he patted both of his hands together. It was about his second week on the island and he had just finished unpacking all of what he had brought to the island, which was mostly metal parts and books to help him study and practice his metal works for school. The island was well something, he found the people that he meet were nice from who he had meet so far and even had an odd talk with a girl he had no idea of who she was, but he brushed it off. He had already taken a walk down town and checked out all kinds of places with machines and magic related structures and he was blown away by some of what he saw, it was a truly breath taking experience and was looking forward to creating more.

He was undoubtedly getting tired after all that packing so he jumped onto his bed and shut the lights off leaving one simple lamp on next to his window as he usually fell down amongst his parts and metals that he had brought along with him."Uite a day, uite a indeed. Hope Ma and Pop doin well" he smiled as he laid back into his bed sheets. He could really sleep honestly so he just stat back and relaxed thinking about things, his mind was in a hazy state and his sense where lowered as he slowly drifted off into dream land, still fully clothed with goggles and all, he truly never stopped working as long as he had the inspiration to help others.

"Gaige~"
The first thing one would notice - dark giggles seemingly coming from the walls could be heard even before Gaige had gone to la his head. The first word - it seemed almost ghostlike, the way it was said. So softly, yet it was uningnorable.
The second thing one would notice - if one was paying attention, it seemed almost as if, in the shadows of the building in twilight, someone was moving. That's because they were - the silhouette of a girl was visible, inching along the edges of the bricks where the shadows touched.
From her position though, nothing mattered except a certain window, on one of the upper levels of the dorm building. There, among the sheets, lay a certain boy whom she had immediately taken a liking to, after only a conversation or two. Their conversations were in unmatching sync. Or so she liked to think.
R watched intently as the light from that window suddenly flickered out, seizing her chance. With the amount of light that hit the window, no way was she able to get through it.... Luckily, she had another plan in mind. A slightly deranged smile spread across her lips.
Somewhere inside her dark-colored coat was a bolt cutter. That would easily break the flimsy locks. She knew - she'd tried it on her own window earlier, before immediately replacing hers with a stronger lock.
Inching towards the window, the butterflies in her stomach seemed to have grown tenfold. She was so close - so FRUSTRATINGLY close to him, so close she could have reached out and touched him.
If the window wasn't in the way.
But that would be taken care of soon. Sliding her hands down her coat one last time, checking for dirt and other unsightly things, she sighed. Her first visit to his dorm. He'd love it - they were meant to spend some time together.
He just didn't know that yet.
Well, she thought, as good a time as any to let him know.
SNAP!

The sharp snapping noise woke him up, but not the kind of jolt right out of your sleep wake up but the slow and still tried type of wake up. He rubbed his head and sat up on his bed before looking out the window where the sound was coming from. It was none other then R that strange girl he had spoke to before, she was odd but he found her nice and kind, although he really just knew her as a person he had meet and talked to briefly a couple times. She was at his window holding wire cutters looking a bit off. This honestly couldn't be really it must be a dream she seemed like a nice person. "Hey R.... hehe" he said and waved before chuckling, he really thought this was some kind of dream.

He stretched and yawned once more he was still a very tired man so he just turned over the other way and closed his eye once more. Very drowsy and believing all of this was a dream and with those thoughts once again her dozed off murmuring something about it being funny to him.

Well. That wasn't what she had expected.
Fear, maybe. Loathing? Definitely. Even another flirt she would have maaaybe expected. But this? She almost felt... No - she decided, no. Although not what she expected, it only made Gaige all the more cute, and made her all the more willing to pursue him. Lord, even the way he rubbed his head was so cute!
In any case. She composed herself and gave a little wave back, looking for all the world like an innocent girl. Then, with a giggle, she swung the window open and clambered into his dorm room, being careful to make her footprints as quiet as possible. "Sorry for coming in through the window - dreadful etiquette, I know." At this, her innocent smile turned into a smirk. "I just wanted to say -"
And then it occurred to her - he'd rolled back over, and was now dozing off once again, muttering something about her being a nice person. And something about the situation being funny to him?
"???"
R was utterly confused. And a little annoyed. That wasn't supposed to happen. Not in her mind, it wasn't. And she had planned it out meticoulously, too! She supposed, though, that she'd let it slide - it was Gaige, after all. She stepped closer to his bed, even closer to him now, deciding to maybe try again. "Wake up~"

"Hmm?" he muttered as he once again sat up in his bed before looking down at his hands and moving them around. Wait this wasn't a dream and there really was a girl who had broken into his new dorm room with wire cutters. Wow he just stood there staring at her and he could not help but smile as he found the situation kind of funny but at the same time odd and scary."Umm.... R what are you..... why did you come through my window.... you could have just knocked on my door. Wait why are you in my dorm room to begin with" he said his facial expression getting more tense.

Why was she in his room of all places and why not just knock on the door? She seemed sane and perfectly fine but some how just gave off a crazyish vibe at the same time. He honestly didn't know what to make of it, so he just stuck to what he was taught and tried to be kind trying to ignore the situation." is there anything i can umm help you with.... thats probably why you're here right? A broken phone or something i can fix it all" he said and smiled lightly.

There he sat, finally realizing, she assumed, that it wasn't a dream. That she really was here with him, as someone who had just broken into his dorm. She almost wanted to laugh. Now it made sense. He thought she was a dream. Well, she obviously wasn't. "The door was locked, and I figured, why bother you with light flooding through your door?" She could have always kicked the door open by force, but then that wouldn't have been too pleasant, would it have been? She chose to ignore his increasingly tense facial expression as she sat crosslegged on the floor. A short silence passed, in which R tried to muster up the nerve to actually talk to him. Something witty, something that would make him like her.
"It doesn't matter what I am," R said finally, tentatively, "but what you make of me, really. Matter of perspective." She stretched herself out, now more comfortable. The pleats of her long coat spread around her in a circle - it actually made for a very cozy seat. "ANd yeah, I was hoping you could help me with..." Think, think... After a few seconds she held up the only thing she had on hand that needed fixing - a tiny little nail file which had broken in two, the sharp metal point gleaming in the dim light. "I've tried to p-put it together... Nothing works." That wasn't necessarily true, she thought - she had tried to put it together using tape, but the tape, while securing the point, irked R to no end.

He rubbed his eyes as he started to wake up better and listened to what she had to say about his questions and such."Well you woke me up either way.... so you could have just knocked on the door and if i didn't answer then so be it" he said and shook his head a little."Wasn't really talkin about what you are exactly i know you're human i think. Just meant to ask what are you doing here in my room of all places..... did ye ask the front desk er somthin to find out where my room was?" he said and tilted his head.

A nail file, wow this was basically child's play for him and with that thought in mind he simply took the nail file and pinched it between two of his fingers and melted the metal back together."Er good as new" he said and handed it back to her with a smile."Is that the only reason why umm you're here.... or was it just the nail file?".

Compsure.
It was a good, important tool.
And one that R seemed to lack in that moment. However, it came back in the next and adopting a confident air, she began to speak again. "I didn't see the obvious solution, I guess. I DID actually ask the desk where your room was." Now, this was a bold-faced lie, but she pulled it off extremely well. " They directed me here, but I couldn't get the door open, as I said. It was locked." With that, she took the nail file and settled down even further. "Thank you... IS there anyone that's bothering you, by any chance? I could be - I could offer my services to you, as protector. Wouldn't that be nice?" This was it, the calm before the storm. If the offer was accepted, she was good to go. If not? Well... She'd have to take measures. Measures she didn't want to take.
But she would. If she must. "No one will bother you again. I'll kick their asses." Her smirk became playful. How nice would that be.

"Oh errr ok then least ya asked the front... this place is really big hard to find my way around sometimes" he said making a little small talk. This was still really odd, he knew that there had to be some sort of other reason for her breaking into his dorm like this, but he wouldn't ask since that would be kind of rude of him to do."And jeez you could have just uhhh knocked i mean this is the twenty first century and doors are quite a useful think" he added and chuckled.

Oh brother why was she asking him such a thing, protection? Why would he need protection he just got here and everyone seemed pretty nice to him."Err sorry but ah i don't think ill need anything like that right now, but I'll keep that in mind" he only added the last part to not disappoint her.

At this point it was just him staring at her in his clutteredish bedroom, he wondered why she was still here, he had fixed her nail file thing and had a small chat. What was there more to do but stare awkwardly and think."Ummm so err its quite late huh.... must be sleepy right? You probably want to go... don't let me and my silly lectures keep ya here" he said as he rubbed the back of his neck.

For a split second, it seemed as if her gaze was a liiiiittle bit more than friendly. More... slightly crazed. More dangerous. More...? Another emotion she couldn't - or wouldn't - place. "I could have knocked... but then that would alert the others." Doors, she thought, made noise. Noise made trouble. Trouble made her flee. And fleeing would make her heartbroken. The moral? Never use doors. In her experience it just lead to trouble. "And the front told me to be quiet, so naturally I complied." She shrugged, and the craze in her eyes seemed to dissipate. Not completely - not by a long shot - but enough to make it look like she was innocent. "There are some very bad people on this island, Gaige. Veeery bad people." She liked to think she was 'helping' him - but she knew very well she might just be one of them. "I'm worried about you, Gaige." R made no mention of her full name, nor of her tiredness - in reality she was extremely tired, but just knowing and seeing that she was close to the object of her affections kept her wide awake in anticipation. "And it... wasn't exactly an offer you can refuse." Something about her voice definitely seemed off, although she didn't mind any.
She took a look around the slightly cluttered room. Pieces of metal lay strewn around in piles, along with more clutter, in general, characteristic of typical people.
She wasn't a typical person.
"Oh, believe me," she said, switching over to a slightly thicker voice and leaning slightly back on her hands. "I could sit here for a while, just listening to you... all night, in fact..."
