"Why not," he'd accept the offered cigarette, light and take a puff, it wasn't a habit of his, but he'd occasionally accept a smoke. "So, no name, just a letter, so me asking questions about you would likely be pointless as I won't be getting any answers."

He took a drag of the smoke, "gotta say R, if you don't want people to know who you are, it'd been best to just to lie, spin a tale, a false past. Being completely mysterious just makes people curious." He tilted his head, "this island has a rule about pasts not counting here, could have killed someone before coming here and not a damn thing can be done. So you don't have to hide your past, but if you do, you should just make one up to replace it."
