Dragon and Shapeshifters

In her Squirrel form, Ivy scampered up a tree in fright. She had only felt the powerful wind from the dragon's wings when he landed. A light purple streak went down her back while her bright green eyes stared at the dragon below her. It was a dragon for heavens sake, It was certainly not what she expected to see when she had gone exploring.

Having no fear of being eaten, Ivy climbed down from her perch on the tree and approached fearlessly. " I thought the school was joking, but your a dragon. " runs around and faces his head. " Hi. I'm Ivy. "

Ivy smiled at the chuckling dragon. " Hello Theron, Nice to meet you. I would shake your hand but I think you might squish me." She looked all over his dragon form in amazement.

Ivy scampered all over the place and only stopped to answer his question. " You didn't really startle me, but I did have to hold onto the tree to stop myself from being blown over by the wind. Your wings must be very powerful. "

She ran over to his head finally inspecting that part of him. " Doyouliveasadragonallthetime? Doyouchangeintosomethingelse? Doyouhaveanypowers?" She rapid fired the questions at him not at all noticing how fast she was talking. Tilting her head to the side she waited for his answers

Ivy watches carefully as he shifts into his human form. She really hadn't seen anyone shift before and It wasn't like she could watch herself. Although it didn't seem that different from her own shifting. What really amazed her was when there was suddenly a small flame that danced on his finger. " I don't have any powers like that. That's really cool. How does it work? Can you teach me how to do that?"

She tilted her head to look at him already enjoying the company. " I have many other forms. I can be anything I want. I think the school called it a shape-shifting. "She frowned for a moment thinking and then looking back up at him with a smile. "What were you doing before you landed here?"

"I didn't think you were a teacher, but that still that's an awesome power. " Ivy answered. In her squirrel form, she didn't seem to stop moving for more then a few seconds, but she did stop and looked at him when he asked his next question.

"Well I mean I haven't tried everything but there are quiet a few of them, mostly animals though. I haven't got to really try anything else. There's lot to choose from, polar bear, giraffe, Iguana, green anaconda, dolphin, bunny, etc," Each time she mentioned a new animal she easily shifted into them while speaking perfect English the whole time. Her voice pitched in excitement, " I love flying. You can see everything from the air. " she raised her arms up looking at the sky which looked very silly coming from a small white bunny with a small patch of purple above her eye.

She watched him put out the fire and return with frost. Her little body jumped in the air, " That's so cool! Can you make it snow?" She tilted her head to one side," Human? oh yea I do. " Ivy shifted one last time to her human form. Her black hair grew past her shoulders showing streaks of purple waving through it.

"When I used to go into my human form it was only to steal some food, but I always seemed to get caught and had to run away. " She thought about it for a moment before shaking her head and moving on. There was no point in thinking of the past now that she was on the island.

" Oh well I still think your powers are cool. " She watched him create the rose in awe. " Wow That's amazing. " Accepts the rose and lightly twirls it in her hand, then looks back at him blushing a little. " Thank you."

Glances back at the rose still in awe over it. " Yea I'm supposed to be but I'm behind a lot. I've never been to school until now. "
