Elizabeth shook her head, blushing a bit. Unfortunately, she wasn't exactly what would be considered a 'good' mage. Especially in battle, where she is next to useless in terms of physical and mental strength. Well, she's intelligent, but her magic though...

"I have great skill in terms of thinking, sure, however, my magic is nothing to be excited over. Sure, it runs in my family, but I have only begun to learn. I can float a few feet off the ground along with a book I keep in magic space. There are others who have more practical magic then I do. However, I'm sure that you must have something great if you are here."

He smiled, "your being humble.....as for me, I'm not nearly as talented." He held out his right hand and it started glowing with the same blue energy as his eyes, "its called ionic energy,my body generates the stuff." He focussed, form a glowing ionic statute of a cat, he set it on the desk and almost immediately his began breaking up into tine orbs of blue light, like fireflies, they floating around them for a few second before fading away. "I can release blasts with it.....but overall its kibd of useless...pretty but useless." Aedan tended to be overly humble, he often didn't appreciate himself, "your magic will expand and grow...dont think I can do much more with my energy."

Elizabeth watched carefully, taking a few mental notes as he portrayed his ionic powers. No, it didn't seem like that these powers had much of an effect from first impressions. But then again, looks can be deceiving. Something to be kept in the back of her mind, of course.

"Yes, my magic will get better, yes. However, there still is a chance your energy will get better. At the very least, you can use your powers to distract people. That pulse of light next to someone can be a good flash bang."

He chuckled and smiled, "I've actually had to do that once at work," it was his first day on tge job as a bodyguard. "I actually dont know too much about the energy....as far as I can tell it doesn't exist anywhere else....and as you saw it becomes unstable right after it leaves my body...so I cant really experiment with it." He never viewed himself as talented, despite being in a college level science class and playing the violin very well.

"I mean....theres so much variation and potential in magic," it was all still new to him, but he'd seen enough to know that. "I bet soon you'll be doing things I cant even dream of."

Elizabeth nodded, smirking a bit. Yes, she definitely will be doing great things in the future. It may not be soon, but she definitely will be quite the mage in her future. Maybe she will even be a teacher of magic. At the very least, she's gonna have to teach her kids assuming she gets that far in life. What is she saying, of course she will.

"Be as that may, that sounds like quitter talk. It may be hard to train your special talent, the fact of the matter is that you need to try and give yourself more credit. Such negative thoughts will not get you anywhere."

He chuckled, "you think so?" He help up his hand charging it ionic energy again, his father had taught him to never give up. But the situation of how he got his powers made him hate them, but maybe it was a good idea to explore them a bit more. "Hmm......you may be right....the professor in my cybernetics class says the same thing."

He smiled at her, "thank you....maybe I'll look into a power class."

Elizabeth nodded, smiling back at him. It seemed like he was gonna start looking to improve on his skills, which was fantastic. Even if he didn't look into a class, hopefully she inspired him to be a bit more positive when judging himself.

"You are most welcome, Aedan. I hope that you are able to control your powers and use them for good."

Elizabeth picked up her salad from the ground, taking another bite. She was now quite thankful that she stayed to eat that salad.

He smiled, "I will," his father had taught him the values of helping others, putting them first, Aedan tended to do the last one a bit too much. "May I ask where your from? I'm from England?" He chuckled, "but I bet you guessed that from my accent." He was enjoying talking her, "and may I ask your name?"

She knew it! Sure, he could have lived in America with English parents, but that was good enough. However, she felt a bit embarrassed. After all of that heart to heart talking and she didn't even give him her name. A bit silly of her to not mention anything like that.

"I'm from America, specifically Austin, Texas. As for my name, I am Elizabeth Cerulean Arlnest. Please do not shorten my first name to Liz or Beth, as I prefer to be referred to by my full first name."

Elizabeth turned to Aedan slightly, giving him a small bow. She would have liked to give him a proper bow, but she was a bit busy with her salad.

He smiled and returned the small bow, "I'm Aedan Ezekiel Drago, and its very good to meet you." He chuckled at her stating her dislike of peopls shortening her name into a nickname, "we have a similar stance....I made the mistake of telling s friend about a old nickname I hate and now thats all they call me." He smiled a chuckled, "Zeke doesnt sound very pleasant....very wierd shortening of my middle name."
