Elizabeth let out a small yawn, adjusting her hat. It had been a long day so far, and now she was here at a big charity drive. And it was about getting kids around the world education. So, she had to get up early and be at the park around noon for the party. She was still experiencing a bit of jet lag, so it wasn't the best combination for her right now. Not counting all of the people here for free food and to donate. Most of them just wanted to make themselves look good too, she knew that. Elizabeth has been around the business type people before, they get free advertisement and good publicity. So, instead of talking with all of them, she decided to hang back and munch on a salad. Extra chicken, not fried. Oh, and ranch, the best kind of dressing.

Aedan pushed through a crowd of business men, his glowing blue eyes darting around trying to find a place to sit. He wore his usual casual clothes, t-shirt, jeans and a light coat. Aedan disliked these public things, rich people popping up to throw money around as if thats proof that they care. He check his wallet for his card, it was there of course, filled with a few thousand dollars his grandfather had transferred to him, their relationship hadnt improved so he had used none of it. So he donated it.

Once pass the crowd he looked around and found a girl seated alone, she looked a few years older, it was actually nice to see someone close to age here. He nodded and approached her, "would you mind if I take a seat?....I'm Aedan."

She looked up, a bit surprised that there was someone else here that seemed to be a student. It was definitely a breath of fresh air not having to deal with business proposals, and he was definitely not a bad looking man. Nothing up to her stature, of course, but a decent middle class. He is also not dressed up at all either. Sure, she just had a simple dress, but he looked like he just got out of class. Plus, she always looked fantastic. She patted the seat next to her, giving him a nod.

"Of course Mr. Aedan. And might I say it's quite bold that you came here while wearing such casual clothes."

He smiled and nodded before sitting down. He chuckled at her comment about clothes, "its all I have...haven't worn a suit sense I was 13," he said in his British accent. It had been for a science gathering in Moscow that his dad was speaking at. He wasn't against formal wear, he just didn't really have the money for it, sure he had his grandfather's money but he refused to use it, he always puts others first anyways.

"Just thought I'd....come down..," he shrugged, he never bragged about helping others, he wasn't like these billionaire asses who flaunt their donations around. "Anyways....thank you for letting me sit here." Aedan had learned to be grateful for simple things, like sitting here talking to a kind person. "Are you new to the island? I've only been here around two months."

Elizabeth nodded, eating a little bit more while he was talking. She swallowed, then neatly set the plate on her lap. He seemed to skirt around the reason why he was at the donation drive at the first place. He was either not here to donate anything or didn't have much money to donate. Seemed like the latter, as Aedan seemed like a good person from first impressions.

"Well, if you ever need a suit or a place to sit, I'm happy to oblige for both. I have just arrived here a few days ago, so I am quite exhausted from the flight here."

He smiled, "thank you...thats very kind of you," she seemed high class to him, likely wealthy, it was good to see someone like that caring for others. "I'm all right though....." I was true for the most part, his job paid well, but most of it went to food because of how his powers affected his body.

He smiled, "its good to see someone who actually care," unlike so many of the people here he could tell she was here for more than a public display. He had personal reasons for disliking the higher class who didn't care about others.

Elizabeth nodded at Aedan, eating a small tomato piece. Rejecting her help. Probably because he didn't need it or it might hurt his pride. It was a pretty rash question for Elizabeth to ask, which she mentally kicked herself for. Of course he wouldn't just accept her help out of the blue right that, they barely knew each other. Well, she could only hope that he wasn't offended by that, which seems to be a yes. There was a genuine smile on his face at least.

"Thank you, Aedan. I must be a bit honest, part of my coming here was to get breakfast without me having to make it myself. Have you come here to donate some money?"

He chuckled, "yea a fee meal is nice." He was enjoying talking to this girl, "I can cook so I dont pass up free food." He gave a small smile and shrug, "I had a bit..thought others needed it more," two thousand dollars was more than a bit to him, but despite his problems he knew there were those who needed it more.

"So, may I ask what brought you to the island? Are you a student?"

The young man seemed to be enjoying the conversation, as did Elizabeth. The events could get quite boring and dull with all of the business talk. And Aedan seemed to be a rather nice person, always a good combination to when talking with someone. And he knew exactly what to talk about. Her.

"To learn. My magic isn't anything combat oriented, but I want to learn battle strategies, among other things, of course. Summoning would be a something I'm interested in learning, mainly a familiar to accompany and defend me if a battle gets heated."

She returned the smile to Aedan, setting the salad down on the ground.

"A magic user huh," Aedan was raised by a scientist so magic was something still new to him, so was very interested in it. "Magic seems like an amazing talent......you being able to use it is truly amazing." Just the thought of someone with such abilities amazed him, his ionic energy wasn't anywhere near that incredible, "I've seen a few familiars here.....I'm afraid magic is a talent I lack. Your very lucky...and must have great skill."
