Cade followed her to the door and waited as she opened it. He walked in then looked around. He somehow forget the way to the cafeteria, as if he didn't know the way at all. He took a few steps through into the halls then stopped to wait again. He was a bit thirsty, but didn't know what to drink. He'll just wait to see what they had available at the moment.

Dani headed to the Cafeteria, thinking in her mind what an ice cold pepsi slurpie would taste like in this heat. She almost ran into a wall, before she turned in time. A more important topic flipped through her head. The upcoming attack. The students taking sides. Dani didn't like it. The academy would never be the same. Ever. This attack would kill many people. She reached the Cafeteria door and opened it. She headed straight for the slurpie machine in the back. She got her pepsi slurpie and sat down, staring out a window.

Cade entered the cafeteria, only seconds after Dani went in and headed straight for the beverages. He carefully examined that department, having difficulties as to what he wanted. Water, juice, soda, and others. He would just settled for ice cold water. Something had been bugging him lately, which was the recent news about an 'attack', students opposing each other. Cade did not like that idea at all. Upon retrieving his water, he followed Dani to a table. He took a sip of his water then glanced out the window. He bothered not to mention the recent events to her. "So uhh..." Normally, he wasn't the one to start a conversation.

Dani's eyes widened as she clutched her head and groaned. "owwwww... It hurts..." She shook and started shaking her head quickly back and forth, as if trying to shake something out. "Owwww... Owwwww... Ow. Ow. Ow." She grimaced.

How did that just happen? Hazel eyes closed as Cade shook his head in embarrassment. He looked at her again; maybe it was more serious than he thought. He got up and moved to the other side of table beside her. "You feelin' alright? Something wrong?" he asked, the tone of his voice clearly stating that he was a bit concerned.

"Brainfreeze." Dani whispered, shivering and letting go of her head. She picked up her slushie and slurped happily, glancing occasionally at Cade. "So, whatcha been doin' lately?" she asked innocently.

"Heh, I should've guessed..." Yeah, he should've seen that coming. That was what normally happened when people would drink a slushie, hence, why he would never drink stuff like that. His head would endure enough pain as it is from using his eye beams half the time. He shook his head at question. "Not much, really. What about you?"

"Been singing and practicing my power. Met a lot of new people. Wondering which side I'm going to take. Had slushies, trying to cut down on coffee. Going to get a job." she rambled on and on, finishing and throw it across the lunchroom into the garbage can without looking or ceasing to talk.

Well that sure was a lot of things. How was Cade supposed to keep up? He didn't know. In fact, he didn't know anything half the time. When she mentioned the 'sides', he had to take a moment to think. He debated which side he should take, should he join in the battle. Cade was never really the fighting type, but he wouldn't hold back if it came down to it. He didn't know anything. That was something he didn't want to talk about. "Why does this have to happen? It's...sad..."
