Dizziness

Dani had not been feeling good. Her power was flickering on and off so much, she couldn't tell when it was on or off, so she was drained dead. (Not literally :P) She was sitting at a picnic table watching all the other kids play around or read or practice their powers. She had her arms folded on the table and her chin on them. She sighed inwardly and wondered why she had not stayed in bed. Oh, thats right. I went out here to sing. But my power came on. And made everyone hyper. Goody. And now, I'm stuck on this stupid table cause I ain't gonna get anywhere feelin' this dizzy.

((*insert waterfall tears* xD))

Cade strolled through the lawn for the umpteenth time. He wore a white tank top and black jean shorts. Quite an unusual selection of attire. Today was a day of a nice breeze. He enjoyed the sun with a nice breeze, but he preferred being here at night. Oh well. He walked over to an open area of grass which he looked around. So far nothing seemed to be kids running around playing. He took a deep breath before stretching his arms. As he did this, he spread out his long black feathered wings. The warm sun's rays hit his face, and a nice cool breeze blowing past where he was. 'This feels so good, I wonder how come you can't feel this type of breeze at night?' Cade thought. He closed his eyes and took another deep breath while feeling the sun's rays his light toned flesh.

Lured into dreams by the sun's warm rays and the quiet laughing of the children, Dani drifted off into a daydream. About her home. Next to the big oak tree that she used to sneak out on. And the paint chipped on her side because her father parked the car badly once. And the little trinkets Dani used to find everywhere at the small towns. And the little box that played music when you crank it up enough...

"You could be happy, and I won't know. But you weren't happy the day I watched you go..." she said softly, singing along with the tune that was still ringing in her ears. She opened her eyes to find Cade, the boy she met at the mall not to long ago. "Hello, Cade." she said quietly, watching him closely.

Cade just stood there soaking up the sun's harmful rays. He wasn't expecting anyone to be at the lawn besides him, but when he spotted Dani, whom he had met in the city a short while ago, he was indeed surprised. He looked around, she seemed to be bored in his mind. He shrugged, walked over to her, his black feathered wings spread out as far as they can go. "Hi Dani. Nice to see you again."

"Diddo." she lifted her head higher and thought aloud. "Am I the only one who seems to have moody powers?" she complained. It gave her a queasy feeling when they did that, like the feeling she got when she ate to much and tried to run. She yawned and propped her head up with an arm.

"So what have you been doing lately? Shopping?" she laughed to herself. She didn't think it was that funny, but, hey, who said people couldn't laugh at there own jokes?

Moody? Why would anyone describe their own power as moody. The way she explained it that time when these two people had met back in the city, Cade didn't think of it as a 'moody' power. He seated himself at the table across from her. He giggled softly at her attempt at a joke. "Well, no, actually, I haven't. I've just been hanging around..." he answered her.

Dani grinned. "Attempted jokes. Something I can live off of." she said, wondering what they could do. The only thing she really needed now was a cup of coffee. "So..." she said, bravely breaking the silence. "Aha. How has your lasering been?" A small idea formed into her head that made her burst out laughing.

Cade just smiled back at her. Him smiling was quite a rare sight. But some of the friends he had made here had taught him to lighten up, and open up. Before that, he was just an arrogant and cold kid. She asked how his 'lasering' had been as of late. Well that was a nice way to put it. He opened his mouth to answer her, but then quicky closed as she suddenly burst out in laughter. What could have been funny now, he thought. He shrugged off this thought then answered, "It's been good. I'm getting better at it, or, at least I think I'm getting better at it..."

Dani could stop giggling. She stopped and then when she looked back at him she giggled again. She finally came to a stop. "Oh, uh, heh heh heh, I'm glad, your, <gigglegigglegiggle> , getting better!" she said happily, feeling better already. "I'm glkad my friends make me feel better. I was dropping dead a few seconds ago." she took a little plastic egg out of her pocket and pulled a ball of silly putty out of it. She started fiddling with it.

She just couldn't stop laughing for reasons that would apparantly not be disclosed. Cade tilted his head to the side with a estranged look on his face as she continued laughing. He wondered what could possibly be funny at the moment. The part about dropping dead had took him by surprise. Was that what she meant by 'moody', he thought. He glanced at the ball of putty. He was tempted to just shoot it with his eye lasers just to poke some fun, but refrained. Instead, he asked "Moody? Drop dead? You feeling alright?"
