I made all-district! 2nd chair xylophone! Yay!

Yeah, I think piano is harder than xylophone because of the chords...well, actually, you can have chords on xylophone but I haven't learned them yet. I've only been playing for four years.

We have about...30 people give or take in our band. It's so sad...but we're growing!

Yeah, chords are what make piano hard to play.
Lol, 30 people. Since our band is so big, it's funny when we go play against smaller schools and we're like "our flute section is bigger than their whole band!" but we have a lot of people who shouldn't really be in band. They aren't good....it's kind of annoying. I mean, I'm not trying to sound like I'm great or anything, but there's this one girl who always asks the same questions and you just told her the note five minutes ago, literally.

Well, half of our players suck, and since we only have 30... :wacko: It's a horrible predicament...but it's okay, because half of our band is still in 7th grade. Wow...yeah...

We're playing Phantom of the Opera next semester! w00t! :banana: Ah, yes, I *lurves* Phantom! My only qualm is that the silly 7th graders will screw it up... <_<

We were lucky to scrape by with a II at our last marching band competition...I mean...we got like a 70 overall and a 69 is a III. Sad...sad...sad...you're lucky to have so many, I think.

Yeah, we are lucky, because it's like, at our school, there's no such thing as a real band geek because our homecoming queen last year was the drum major, lol. It's awesome.
We usually do okay in competitions. Nothing great, but our director doesn't really care. He just wants us to be entertaining.
