So our Marching Band is going to Disney on Thursday and my birthday is tomorrow (Wednesday) so it's like I'm going to Disney for my birthday. It makes me happy!!! Yay!!! We get to march down Main Street. Wahoo! Lol. Our band is huge, too, so we take up two planes. Well, that's with the 11th and 12th grade chorus, too. It's gonna be fun ^.^
So....uh....who's been to Disney? Last time I went was six years ago in fourth grade, so needless to say, I don't remember much of it.

OMG, that is so weird...our band is going to Disney this summer! And we're going to march! I've never been...but our band is only like...30 kids...and half of them suck, so...

Congratulations! You gotta tell us if the parade was any fun!

OMG that's awesome!!!!!! You are sooooooo lucky!!!!!! I got really tired of band and quit this year. ^_^ I hate clarinet... >.<

Well, today will probably be my last day on here until Tuesday.
Band is annoying sometimes, but I doubt I'll ever quit :lol: I'm just that much of a band geek ;)

I love band, I just hate going to competitions and stuff. I have an all-district audition in percussion tomorrow. Can't wait to get THAT over with. And our Christmas concert is next week.

I'm hoping to be able to play baritone or something someday. If our director will teach me. I may be too hopelessly untalented...

Ooh... is baritone that giant tuba thing? When I was in band, we had one of those, an oboe, a bass clarinet, and a piccolo... those are the interesting instruments.

It's kind of shaped like a tuba, in concert band at least, but it's not in the bass notes...or whatever...

For the auditions, I have to sightread on xylophone...crap! I can't read music! (Well...I can...just not very fast) It going to suck. We have a guy who can play oboe and piccolo...and a girl who plays alto sax and bass clarinet. I don't know...

Our band has 30 flutes, six of which play piccolo for marching, one bass clarinet, six tubas, and a lot of other people. We total 191 people. We are very big ^.^
I play piano, which is basically the same thing as xylophone as to the setup. I don't think you guys have chords, though...I suck at sight-reading that music, too. It takes me forever to learn something, and I've been playing for nine years. Xylophone is probably easier and harder in different aspects...I always wanted to try it ^_^
