Dinner at Vergers de Pommes

"I think, instead of kidnapping, it would be "rapting" if the woman falls in love with you first," Celeste laughed happily, "And quite honestly, your granddad sounds absolutely delightful. I'd really love to meet him," she said as she gazed up at Roldan feeling that there might be some truth to his grandfather's words.

In fact, as she gazed up at him, Celeste could easily imagine his grandfather for some reason saying that. She had been told that he was a dashing figure too and could easily guess that Roldan probably got a lot of his charm from him.

As Roldan took off, Celeste snuggled in closer to him, relishing the warmth he emitted. The night air was cool and the dress she had chosen for the night was light and not at all made for the coolness of the evening.

"Wow, oh wow..." she said in hushed awe as she glanced around them, gazing down and then up at the sky. Celeste didn't quite know what to look at first. It all was so very lovely... breathtaking, moreso than during the day.

"I am so very jealous," Celeste finally admitted as she looked up at Roldan, "You get to see this every night?.. It's beyond beautiful..." she told him, feeling very fortunate that he had chosen to share this with her.

"I guess I can see that..." Celeste admitted gazing at lights reflecting off the water in the distance. She understood how something can become commonplace if you see it every day... though she still found it hard to believe that the breathtaking sight before her would ever be something one could fail to appreciate or ignore.

Shifting her weight a little when Roldan started stopped in mid-air, making it easier for him to hold onto her, Celeste looked up at him when he asked her if he could kiss her. Smiling at this, finding him so incredibly sweet for asking, Celeste nodded as she then lifted herself a little in his arms, deciding to actually take the initiative, and softly kissing him on the lips.

"I hope so... it's not every day a witch captures a dragon," Celeste replied softly, teasingly, through the kiss. Roldan made her heart flutter and when he kissed her back the second time, Celeste couldn't help but sigh a little into the kiss. She loved how he made her feel and how she felt when she was with him.

When they finally landed, Celeste saw that Marduk was back with the car. Smiling at Roldan then, Celeste let him help her into the car, holding onto his hand just a fraction longer than expected as she did so.

"Good evening, Marduk," Celeste said politely as she scooted over a little, making room for Roldan beside her in the backseat. "How has your evening been?" she added as she watched Roldan move around the car and entered from the other side.

Celeste entwined her fingers in Roldan's when he took her hand, smiling happily at him. "I had a wonderful time," she told him, "And I'd love to go flying for real. Maybe you can help me pick out a jacket and a pair of goggles one day?" she suggested to him as Marduk drove the car back to her house.

"I'm taking the children out shopping next week.. just to get them a few things before school break is over, maybe you'd, or you and Iesha, would like to join us?" she asked him questioningly, not sure if she was perhaps being a bit forward with her suggestion.

"That's great, I'll text you tomorrow with some possible days and times and you can decide what works best for you, and your daughter too if she'd like to come," Celeste said smiling at him happily when he agreed to go to the mall with the kids and her.

"And, don't worry, you aren't ..." Celeste added gently, wanting to reassure him somehow, as she squeezed his hand back softly. She knew he was still probably worried about Shale's reaction - or overreaction, and she wasn't sure she knew how to reassure him that everything on her end was fine.

When they finally reached her house, Celeste glanced out the window wistfully. She really didn't want to go in yet, didn't want the evening to be over just quite yet. Turning to look at Roldan, Celeste could only nod at first, "Yes, it does feel like we just left..." she agreed softly, not making a move to leave yet.

"I really don't want to go in yet if I'm honest." she admitted to him as she looked down at Roldan's hand in hers and felt a little moment of regret at the idea of having to end the date.
